US-Israeli War On Iran Is Not About Nuclear Weapons

The United States and Israel are waging a war of aggression against Iran. This is not about nuclear weapons; it’s about imperialism. Trump published a video on social media early on the morning of February 28, announcing, “The United States military began major combat operations in Iran”. As the US and Israel brutally bombed Tehran, Donald Trump admitted that they want regime change. Trump ordered members of Iran’s military to “lay down your weapons”, or “face certain death”. The US president then called on Iranian opposition supporters to “take over your government”, claiming, “It will be yours to take. This will be probably your only chance for generations”.

Israel And United States Begin Attack Against Iran

Reuters reports that the date of Feb. 28 for the attack was chosen months ago. Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei has been moved from the capital to a reportedly secure location, the news agency adds. Dozens of U.S. airstrikes are being carried out in a far more extensive attack then last June, The New York Times reports. Katz said the attack is intended to  “remove threats to the State of Israel.” This is to present aggression in the guise of self-defense without any credible Iranian threat. Al Jazeera is reporting from Washington that the U.S. involvement is intended to decapitate Iran’s leadership.

It’s The Trump Administration That’s Threatening The World, Not Iran

President Donald Trump’s Pentagon is reportedly preparing a potential military assault on Iran. Washington and Tehran are set to resume Omani-mediated talks on Thursday, but the threat of war is rising nonetheless. This month, the White House and Pentagon have repeatedly met with Israeli leaders who are lobbying against a deal with Iran and are in favor of launching an attack on the country of more than 90 million people.  It remains to be seen whether Trump will go forward with military action, but the White House is feeling confident after its January attack on Venezuela.

IADL Condemns The Joint US-Israeli Illegal Aggression On Iran

The International Association of Democratic Lawyers (IADL) condemns in the strongest terms the joint attack by the United States and Israel on the Islamic Republic of Iran, launched on the morning of Saturday, February 28, 2026, amid the holy month of Ramadan. These attacks constitute another example of the crime of aggression, in blatant violation of article 2(4) of the United Nations Charter and the principles of sovereignty, territorial integrity of states, good neighborliness and the peaceful settlement of disputes. International law clearly prohibits both the use of force and the threat to use force against the territorial integrity of any state, and it is also clear that the United States and Israel have deep disregard and contempt for these principles.

Anti-Genocide Groups Confirm Massive ‘Freedom Flotilla’

Activists coordinating under the Global Sumud Flotilla and Freedom Flotilla Coalition announced on 26 February that a fleet of up to 200 boats will depart on 12 April from several Mediterranean ports in a renewed bid to break Israel’s blockade of Gaza. “This is not only about delivering aid. It is about asserting the right of civilians to challenge the isolation of Gaza through peaceful means,” said Dilek Tekocak, speaking at a press conference in Istanbul’s Fatih district on behalf of the flotilla’s international coordination committee. “This initiative represents global civilian resistance,” Tekocak said, describing the effort as a peaceful mobilization against Israel’s unlawful blockade of Gaza that continues despite the ceasefire.

President Maduro Denounces US Violation Of Right To Defense

Through his attorney Barry Pollack, Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro has denounced the United States for violating his right to a legal defense by attempting to prevent the Venezuelan government from paying his law firm’s fees. In a sworn statement dated February 18 and filed with a federal court in Manhattan, President Maduro clarified that, in accordance with the laws and practices of Venezuela, he has the right to have the government cover his legal costs. The document, signed by President Maduro, reaffirms that the Venezuelan government is prepared to fulfill this commitment.

Trump Is Stealing Students’ Dreams To Give Billionaires Tax Breaks

President Trump has declared that he has “won affordability.” In his State of the Union speech, he even bragged that he’s bringing costs “way down on health care and everything else.“ In reality, the Trump administration is making it much harder for working families to both meet their daily needs – and to fulfill their long-term dreams of higher education. The Republican tax and spending plan adopted last year — the so-called “Big Beautiful Bill” — includes huge tax giveaways to the rich, paid for with deep cuts to programs for working people.

Trump’s Economy Is Hurting Americans

President Donald Trump is boasting about the economy one year into his term. He claims that inflation has been defeated, growth is unprecedented, incomes are rising, and his tariffs are generating hundreds of billions for the U.S. economy. This is all hogwash, according to progressive economist Gerald Epstein, a leading global authority on macroeconomic policy and finance. In the exclusive interview for Truthout that follows, Epstein explains how, in reality, Trump’s policies have created an affordability crisis, and the growing deficit and humongous public debt are now bringing the country close to a tipping point.

New Oregon Union Coalition Will Make A Push For ‘Climate Jobs’

Portland, OR — A newly formed coalition of Oregon unions will advocate for a union-built transition to clean energy. And it has a big head start on how to achieve that: A book-length set of policy recommendations from the Climate Jobs Institute, part of Cornell University’s School of Industrial and Labor Relations. The group is called Climate Jobs Oregon. It held its public launch on January 23 at the IBEW Local 48 hall in Portland, followed by tours of four construction union training centers. The launch party was packed with state, county, and city elected officials and their staffs, and attendees applauded the commitment of sponsoring unions to promote green jobs that are good jobs too.

Emergency Actions Against The US-Israeli War On Iran

A coalition of grassroots organizations is sponsoring emergency protests in scores of cities around the country on Saturday to oppose the Trump administration’s attack against Iran. Trump’s unprovoked, illegal attack on Iran is an act of war that threatens to cause unthinkable death and destruction. But the people of this country reject another endless war and will take to the streets now and make our voices heard. Iran has not attacked the United States. The government has been engaged in diplomatic negotiations up to the very last moment, and has again and again insisted that it has no intention of developing a nuclear weapons program (which Trump claims to have “obliterated” last year anyway).

Reparations, Justice Must Come

We live in an upside-down world. The leaders of the richer nations, the old colonial powers, want to rehabilitate the language of imperialism: praise for their past, and a desire to repeat that messianism in the present. Meanwhile, the peoples of the poorer nations agitate for peace and development, as well as for an apology for the crimes of colonialism and reparations for the plunder carried out during that period. The slogan from the people is simple: ‘Justice must come’. It rumbles now but will grow louder with time.

Bomb Shelters Open In Israel In Preparation For War On Iran

Shelters have begun opening in Israel in anticipation of retaliatory Iranian missile strikes, coinciding with an escalation of Washington’s military buildup in the region and concerns of an imminent US war against Iran. The municipality of Beersheba, southeast of Tel Aviv, ordered the opening of all public shelters. Washington has called for the evacuation of all non-essential personnel from its embassy in Iraq.  The US embassy in Israel also called for the evacuation of non-emergency staff, urging them to fly out while commercial flights were still available.

United States Military Poised To Attack The Islamic Republic Of Iran

The United States military, acting on orders from President Donald Trump, is poised to attack the Islamic Republic of Iran, a dangerous act that could set off a catastrophic regional war. The Trump administration has deployed the United States Military across the Middle East, with two aircraft carrier groups, and fighter jets, bombers and other weaponry, poised within striking distance of Iran. We have not seen anything like this since the military buildup preceding the U.S. invasion of Iraq in 2003. In his State of the Union Speech on February 25th Trump said that, "We are in negotiations with Iran. They want to make a deal, but we haven't heard those secret words: 'We will never have a nuclear weapon.’"

The Voice Of Hind Rajab: The Film They Don’t Want You To See

New York: “The Voice of Hind Rajab,” like all great pieces of art, takes a straightforward story — the battle to save the life of a 6-year-old girl, Hind Rajab, trapped in a car in Gaza surrounded by murdered family members — and elevates it to an archetype. This story is as old as time. It lies at the heart of all religious and moral literature. It pits the cruelty and heartlessness of power against the empathy and compassion of the powerless. It asks us what kind of a life we want to live. Is it a life defined by hubris, domination and violence?

In Defense Of De-Platforming Zionists On College Campuses

Recently, Haviv Rettig Gur— political analyst for the Times of Israel— visited Haverford College to give a talk entitled Roots, Return, and Reality: Jews, Israel, and the Myth of Settler Colonialism. Knowing what I already knew about Gur’s politics and analysis, and having made the mistake of attending previous events organized by the same small group of Zionist faculty members, I had no intention of attending. Given the first-hand accounts from students who did attend— and given the shared tactics of Zionist agitators all over the country— I didn’t need to be there to have a fairly clear view of what transpired.
