On Contact: Collateral Murder Video

| Resistance Report

On the show this week, Chris Hedges talks to journalist, Dean Yates, who, 13 years ago, was the head of Reuters’ Baghdad bureau. On July 12, 2007, Yates learned two of his employees, Saeed Chmagh and Namir Noor-Eldeen, had been fired on and killed by the US Army. Their deaths, and those of others, were the focus of the now-infamous video Collateral Murder, leaked by Chelsea Manning and released by Wikileaks.

How can the US military claim that ”insurgents” were killed during a firefight when anyone who has seen the collateral damage video knows that there was no fire fight no fire was returned it was cold blooded murder.

Another great piece by Chris Hedges in this interview with Dean Yates about the “collateral murder video” from 13-years ago. It is well worth watching and listening to if the truth matters to you at all.

From what I’ve seen in my 66-years – most Americans are OK with someone / their own government lying to them over and over again – they allow those above us to control the narrative about our reality whatever the topic. When we readily accept these lies, guess what we’ll get more of ?

No wonder the Rich hate Julian Assange.

The one thing the Rich fear is an organized and informed We the People.

  • Nylene13

Have you actually talked to any Trump supporters?

They see Trump as protecting them from all they are afraid of.

Blacks, Mexicans, and “Liberals” are who Trump supporters are afraid of.

Their dream of being Rich is their main goal in life.

They ADMIRE the Rich who are stealing from the poor and killing the Environment.

What they want is a Big New Truck, with a American Flag bumper sticker, a neighborhood Bar to drink in with their friends, women to admire them and who do what they are told, and a big house with a big TV to watch action movies and eat lots of meat and chips and drink beer.

Many are retired. If not, they work at some warehouse or other, and dream of retirement. They also tend to have lots of big boats. They spend more time hauling them to lakes than they do on the water.

I think the idea is status LOOK AT THAT BOAT-they imagine the other car drivers passing by saying.

I wish I had a boat like that!
And a big Truck like that!

That guy must be Some Man!!!

    That is about it.

I would really like to give you a statue of Stalin so that you can pray at night before your idol, my dear.

one can hear the gunner lying about RPGs in evidence, the number of guns in general – it was obvious they were NOT insurgents. How many others died similar with no record of their passing?

  • Nylene13

Thanks for the laugh. I really don’t know much about Stalin. If I have a political idol-it is Thomas Jefferson.

“200 years from now we will still be regretting this decision made today”
    Thomas Jefferson-
after holding up the ratification of the U.S Constitution for 2 Years trying desperately to end slavery.

“I envision a Nation of Small Family Farms”
    Thomas Jefferson-
Me too. I would add Organic.

“All Men are created Equal, with the Right to Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness”.
I mean really, what else is there to say?

“We don’t need a KING. We just fought a Revolution to get rid of one. We need a President-and don’t ask me-go ask George”.

I could go on and on….

I go to that site regularly – good stuff – weak comment section in my view.

“How many others died similar with no record of their passing?” There are countless human beings killed and maimed by the US as if they deserved a miserable / painful death. How do these people sleep at night ? Some of them suffer or will eventually suffer from “moral injury.” I watched the destruction of one such man over his actions in war and later as a mercenary – it killed from the inside out. What amazes me is that we can get people to kill whomever they are told to kill “in order to protect our interests.”

The war criminals go free while those who reveal their crimes are hounded and imprisoned.

    Free Assange!
