Abduction

Israel Delegitimized Itself With Its Attacks On The Flotilla

It began as a human rights mission: over 600 civilians on 72 boats from more than 45 countries, seeking to break Israel’s 19-year siege of Gaza. It ended with two Israeli-government assaults in international waters, including kidnappings, beatings, torture, sexual abuse, and violations of international law. And crucially, it ended with Israel losing legitimacy, not just with the public but also among its own allies on a scale not seen since South Africa lost its own legitimacy in the Apartheid era. On April 29, Israeli commandos boarded 22 boats of the Global Sumud Flotilla 80 nautical miles from Greece.

Last Ten Ships Of The 2026 Gaza Flotilla Attacked By Israeli Commandos

By 8pm local time on May 19, 2026, the last ten boats of the 2026 Gaza flotilla had been illegally seized by the Israeli military in international water approximately 118 nautical miles from Gaza. The last boat to be seized of the 54 boat flotilla was the Gaza Freedom Flotilla Coalition (FFC)’s boat named “Lina.” The flotilla boats had been sailing toward Gaza in the largest civilian flotilla in the history of support for Palestinians in Gaza and the West Bank attempting to break the illegal Israeli naval blockade of Gaza.  The “Lina” has a remarkable history.

Israel Has Kidnapped Two Important Pro-Palestine Activists

Nothing illustrates the inversion of the international and moral order more than the genocide in Gaza and the shipment of tens of billions of dollars of weapons to Israel by Western nations, especially the United States, to sustain it. Part of this inversion is the unrelenting persecution of those who denounce the genocide — especially those who risk their lives to halt it and demand the rule of law. But the rule of law, it appears, is buried under the rubble in Gaza. And because of that Israel is able, with barely a word of protest by Western nations – Spain being one of the few exceptions – to abduct 175 activists aboard Sumud Flotilla 500 nautical miles from Gaza and 80 nautical miles west of the Greek island of Crete.

Israel’s Western, Arab Partners Helped Coordinate Abduction Of Flotilla Activists

The Israeli army used the US headquarters in Kiryat Gat in Israel to coordinate with military officers from several countries to obstruct the Global Freedom Flotilla sailing to Gaza to break Israel's blockade of the strip, Israeli media reported on 1 May. Israeli officials took advantage of meetings held inside the US-led Civil Military Coordination Center (CMCC) with officers from the militaries of various countries to raise the issue of the flotilla and push to block its arrival in Gaza by sea. In the early hours of 30 April, Israeli Army Radio announced that Israeli forces had seized the ships of the Freedom Flotilla near Greece and abducted the activists on board.

PhD Student Yousof Azizi Is Illegally Abducted, Imprisoned And Abused

Maryland - Without warning, on April 13, after returning home from dropping off his 11 year-old daughter at school and his 3 year-old son at daycare, public policy PhD student Yousof Azizi was abducted by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents in front of his home in Germantown, MD on fabricated charges regarding his visa status. Azizi and his wife, Aliyeh Hashemi, who recently completed her PhD in the field of health, have been living in the United States for over a decade and have complied with all visa requirements throughout that time. Both of their children were born in the United States.

Women’s Brigades Demand Freedom For Venezuelan Presidential Couple

A total of 118 delegates from 22 nations gathered Friday, March 6, in Caracas for the meeting of the International Women’s Brigades Cilia Flores for Peace. International solidarity was on full display in the Venezuelan capital to demand the immediate release of First Lady and Deputy Cilia Flores, and her husband, Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro. This initiative, organized as part of the activities for the week of International Women’s Day, intends to highlight the direct impact of sanctions and economic blockades on the lives of women in countries like Venezuela and Cuba.

At The UN, Venezuelan FM Denounces ‘Systematic Campaign’ Against Country

Venezuelan Foreign Minister Yván Gil denounced a “systematic campaign” against his country on Monday, February 23, at the 61st session of the United Nations Human Rights Council in Geneva, Switzerland. Gil stated that this campaign is a “political operation disguised as a legal debate”, which leads to the freezing of benefits and prejudice, criminalization, and xenophobia against Venezuelan migrants. Furthermore, Yván Gill demanded the release of the country’s president, Nicolás Maduro, and the first lady, congresswoman Cilia Flores, who were kidnapped by the United States earlier this year.

The Meaning Of Maduro In Metropolitan Detention

I traveled all day to get there, to the prison where the leader of the Bolivarian process is held hostage. It was early January, only a week after Nicolas Maduro and his wife Cilia Flores were kidnapped from Caracas, Venezuela and flown to the prison where they are still held in the Empire State. It has taken me more than a month to write and rewrite this, struggling to distill meaning and method from this madness and mayhem which in today’s world runs the risk of appearing almost mundane – nothing to see here folks! Just another entry in the archive of outrages.

Kenyan Communist Leader Booker Ngesa Omole Abducted And Tortured

Booker Ngesa Omole, Kenyan political leader and the general secretary of the Communist Party Marxist–Kenya (CPM-K), was abducted and brutally assaulted by officers of the Kenya Police Service late on February 23, according to a public statement issued by the CPM-K. In two consecutive public statements issued on February 24 and 25, the party alleged that Omole was seized by officers of the Kenya Police Service in Isiolo and transported overnight before being held at Mlolongo Police Station. At the time of publication, Omole is still in state custody. There is limited public information about the charges on which he was arrested.

Worker Organizer Abducted By Federal Agents In Minnesota

Federal immigration agents have abducted Eustaquio Orozco Verdusco, a workers’ rights organizer well known in Minnesota for fighting wage theft and labor trafficking. His attorney and son say he is currently held at the Cibola County Correctional Center in New Mexico, run by CoreCivic, one of the largest private prison companies in the United States. For the first time, his family is going to the press as community support for his release is swelling. “All we care about is having him back with us, at home in Minnesota,” his son, Gerardo Orozco Guzman, told me. “That’s all we want.”

Where Is Dr. Hussam Abu Safiya, And What Is Israel Doing To Him?

His white coat stands out in stark contrast to the gray ash and rubble surrounding the hospital he had been fighting tirelessly to defend for the past few months. Two massive tanks, their guns pointed in his direction, stand ready to fire. A voice calls out from the tank, calling the name that has now become a symbol of steadfastness, heroism, and tragedy in Gaza: Dr. Hussam Abu Safiya. This is the scene that played out on December 27, as the Israeli army made its final move towards the Kamal Adwan Hospital, which it had been besieging and attacking for weeks as part of its ongoing ethnic cleansing campaign in north Gaza.
