Collective West

The White Supremacist Imperative On Violence

The U.S. first attacked Iran on February 28 and did so underestimating Iran's ability to defend itself. Iran then closed the Strait of Hormuz. The U.S. was forced to enter into talks with Iran, which ended with a Memorandum of Understanding. And I think anyone who is serious realized that this was something not to be trusted, and that the U.S. commitment to regime change and control of the region was going to continue. So, we see now that the U.S. attacks on Iran have begun again, and Iran is responding again, and also against U.S. allies in the region, like Saudi Arabia. Talk to us about why this the claims of wanting peace, of wanting an agreement, are false, and why the U.S. and its partner Israel are continuing this conflict.

Imperialism And The Moral Decay Of The West

The irreversible decline of the U.S. empire’s global hegemony is not merely an economic or technological issue. Such an reductionist approach would prevent us from grasping the full scope and the many dimensions of this slow but inexorable decline. It is also a military issue: the inability to win wars, continually highlighted by analysts in that country and confirmed in recent days by the setback suffered by Washington (and its cronies in Tel Aviv) in the war against Iran. It is also political, because one of the consequences of the dictatorship of capital that underlies the logic of the empire has been the growing dissatisfaction with bourgeois democracy, the practice of which has only served to make the rich exponentially wealthier and keep the vast majority of the U.S. population in poverty.

G7 Summit: Leaders Praise Trump, Reaffirm Western Imperialism

G7 leaders met in Évian, France, from June 15-17 to discuss – in their own words – “geopolitical issues” and “mutually beneficial international partnerships.” In the days leading up to the summit, a counter-meeting was organized in nearby Geneva, followed by a mass demonstration against the Global North’s warmongering and exploitation of the Global South.  The heads of state from the United States, United Kingdom, Japan, Italy, Germany, France, Canada and representatives of the European Union addressed pressing global issues but maintained their standard biased vision.

West Says Ukraine Is Now ´Winning´ And Why It Is Lying Again

A recent article published in the Kyiv Independent titled “Is Ukraine starting to win the war again?” tests the maxim that if you need to ask, the answer is probably “no.” As the collective Western media has done since 2022, the Kyiv Independent cites “flatlined” Russian territorial gains and expanding drone strikes deep inside Russian territory (the article attributes them to Ukraine despite the New York Times admitting such strikes are enabled by the US Central Intelligence Agency and the US military) — all as evidence of growing Russian weakness and increasing Ukrainian strength.

A Dialogue Across Civilisations, For Now

During some of the worst days of the illegal US-Israeli war on Iran, I was talking to friends who were in the civilian areas being bombed. Some of them are scholars, others poets and artists, some work in the government, others in institutions of different kinds. All of them, regardless of their views of the government, stood defiant. Not one person felt that their world was under threat. They remained steadfast, their courage emanating from an immense belief in the resilience of Iranian civilisation. Marxist and national liberation thought have had a very complex history with the concept of ‘civilisation’.

America’s Moral Suicide

Collective suicide always is an ugly business to observe — especially when it’s your own country debasing itself. Yet, we seem unfazed. Indeed, we redouble our acts of inhumanity as if reiteration somehow normalizes the perversity of what we have done. The systematic insulation of ourselves from the magnitude of our turpitude is all the more remarkable for its requiring the constant filtering of graphic images of odious criminality to which we are accomplices. There may be some faint recognition, subliminally, of our culpability in the diligence with which dissenters and truth-tellers are suppressed and punished.

West Refuses To Condemn Slavery In UN General Assembly Vote

The United Nations General Assembly held a vote on a resolution denouncing the transatlantic slave trade as “the gravest crime against humanity”. The countries of the political West refused to formally condemn the mass enslavement and trafficking of Africans. The vast majority of UN member states, which are in the Global South, supported the resolution, with 123 votes in favor. All of Europe abstained, except for Serbia. There were 52 abstentions in total. Just three countries voted against the resolution: the United States, Israel, and Argentina’s right-wing regime of Javier Milei.

Russophobia By The Collective West Opens Doors Of The Cold War 2.0

The current orchestrated Western policy of total Russophobia, directed by Collective West, can be recorded to start by the British Cabinet of Theresa May – the focal servant-dog to US global imperialism, followed by the creation of the War Cabinet of the US President Donald Trump (first administration), was a nothing else than a jumping to the new stage of the post-WWII Cold War (2.0) which was originally started (1.0) by the US and never was over as its main task of total economic, political, and financial subordination or/and occupation of Russia still is not realized.

Craig Murray: This Hell

It is all a part of the same phenomenon. Western governments actively assisting genocide in Gaza; attacks on benefits for the disabled; a deliberate official narrative of Russophobia; rampant Islamophobia boosting the rise of extreme right-wing parties and fueled by government anti-immigrant rhetoric; an incredible accumulation of wealth by the ultra-rich; rampant erosion of freedoms of speech and expression. It is not happenstance that all of this is happening at the same time. It represents a radical shift in Western philosophy. This shift is not simple to trace because anti-intellectualism is an essential part of the new philosophy.

Latin America Again Refuses To Fall In Line With The Collective West

Volodymyr Zelensky is accustomed to being the star guest, whether in person or on-screen, at just about every Western international summit, though his shine does appear to be fading. But at the summit that took place in Brussels early this week between the European Union and the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States (CELAC), the president of Ukraine was nowhere to be seen. This was despite the best efforts of Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez, who is current holder of the EU Council’s rotating president, to get his name on the guest list. At a bare minimum, Zelensky’s participation would have required the endorsement of the governments of Latin America’s three largest economies, Brazil, Mexico and Argentina, all of which have taken a largely neutral stance on the war in Ukraine.
