US Ambassador Threatens Britain With Economic Retaliation

US Ambassador to Israel Mike Huckabee has said Washington will certainly hit back if Britain proceeds with trade sanctions targeting illegal Israeli settlements in the occupied West Bank, telling BBC that a response could come from the federal government and from individual US states. Huckabee said acting in this way against “a partner, Israel” risked a “huge economic impact on British businesses,” which he warned could find themselves “banned” from operating “in a number of states.” He told BBC the planned ban on illegal Israeli settlement goods would be “discrimination against the Jewish people,” singling out Florida as a state that could move against British trade.

Israel Is Racing To Expand West Bank Settlements

The Israeli cabinet approved the construction of 34 new West Bank settlements last week, bringing the total number approved by the ruling coalition led by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu up to 103. The cabinet decision is the largest batch of new settlements approved in decades, breaking the record set by a previous landmark decision in June 2025, which approved 22 new settlements. While the latest decision has been overshadowed by the regional conflagrations related to the U.S.-Israeli war on Iran, its timing indicates that Israel perceives a closing window for its ability to entrench its colonial project in its own backyard — the West Bank — in light of shifting realities that might see Iran emerging from the war intact and in a strengthened position regionally.

Many were inspired when, as an assemblyman in May 2023 at the CUNY School of Law, Mamdani introduced the “Not On Our Dime!: Ending New York Funding of Israeli Settler Violence Act” (NOOD Act), a bill that would have prohibited New York‑registered nonprofits from using tax‑exempt status to fund Israeli settlement expansion and other violations of international law. 

YouTube Wipes UK Journalist’s Archive After Israeli-Linked Pressure

In February 2024, YouTube unexpectedly removed the account of independent British journalist Robert Inlakesh, a frequent contributor to Al Mayadeen English, The Intercept reported. His channel held dozens of videos, including many livestreams documenting Israeli occupation in the West Bank. Over roughly ten years covering developments in occupied Palestine, he filmed Israeli forces tearing down Palestinian homes, police stopping and intimidating Palestinian drivers, and soldiers firing at Palestinians and journalists during demonstrations outside illegal settlements. All of that footage vanished instantly.

Netherlands Advances Plan To Ban Imports From Israeli Settlements

The Netherlands is moving ahead with a partial trade ban targeting imports from illegal Israeli settlements in the occupied West Bank, Dutch Foreign Minister David van Weel said on 10 November during a visit to the region. Van Weel confirmed that while a wider package of sanctions on Israel has been paused following last month’s ceasefire in Gaza, work continues on legislation specifically addressing settlement products. “The Netherlands is still working on legislation to bar imports from illegal settlements in occupied Palestine,” he said, adding that the measure responds to expanding settlements and what he called “spiralling Israeli violence” that threatens the viability of a two-state solution.

Israel is meticulously following a textbook model of instigating unrest in the occupied West Bank. The latest such provocations consisted of stripping the Palestinian-run Hebron (Al-Khalil) municipality of its administrative powers over the venerable Ibrahimi Mosque. Worse, according to Israel Hayom, it granted these powers to the religious council of the Kiryat Arba Jewish settlement, an extremist settler body. Though all Jewish settlers in occupied Palestine can be qualified as extremists, the approximately 7,500 inhabitants of Kiryat Arba represent a more virulent category.

A watershed moment in the fight to hold corporations accountable for complicity in Israel’s war crimes: A.P. Møller Maersk has become the first global shipping company to halt the transport of goods to and from Israeli settlements after facing increasing pressure from the Mask off Maersk campaign. This marks a seismic shift in corporate accountability, and in the shipping and logistics industry as a whole. Maersk announced on its website this month that it would cut ties with Israeli settlements in the West Bank, stating that it had “strengthened [its] screening procedures in relation to Israeli settlements, including aligning [their] screening process with the OHCHR database of businesses involved in activities in the settlements”.

Did you know that there are currently over 300 properties listed for rent on Airbnb that are situated in Israel’s illegal settlements in the Occupied Palestinian Territory, as well as Palestinian refugee properties that were taken during the Nakba? In November 2018, Airbnb promised to “act responsibly” and remove all listings in the illegal settlements, but just a few months later, in April 2019, it shamefully reversed the decision. Even following the ruling by the International Court of Justice in July 2024, that Israel’s occupation of Palestinian territory is illegal and that all States must prevent trade or investment that support the occupation – Airbnb's listings in the settlements continue.

A new report details a shipping and logistics giant’s role in sustaining illegal Israeli settlements in occupied Palestine and Syrian territories. A.P. Moller Maersk is a publicly traded Danish company that netted a revenue of $51.1 billion in 2023. According to research compiled by the Palestinian Youth Movement (PYM) and its Mask off Maersk campaign, the company has repeatedly facilitated shipments to the United States from illegal settlements in the occupied West Bank and the Syrian Golan Heights. “The global structures of financialized capitalism, logistics and supply chains play an outsize role in the maintenance of extraction and accumulation.

How US Activists Are Infiltrating Israeli Events Selling Palestinian Land

Outside of a synagogue in West Orange, New Jersey, a hundred people with PAL-Awda NY/NJ, a local Palestinian rights organization, gathered to protest an Israeli real estate event taking place there on Nov. 13. The protesters accused the realtors from My Israel Home, an Israeli real estate company based outside of Jerusalem, of marketing Palestinian land. They also said that the company was discriminating against event attendees by religion, effectively excluding everyone except especially religious Jews. According to PAL-Awda, the protesters were attacked by counter-protesters, including an organizer of the event, armed with pepper-spray and tactical flashlights wielded as bludgeons.

Over 800 Euro Banks Invest In Companies Supporting Illegal Settlements

The Don’t Buy into Occupation (DBIO) coalition has issued its 2024 report highlighting the international companies and financial institutions that are actively involved with illegal Jewish settlements in the occupied West Bank. The DBIO coalition is a joint project between 24 Palestinian, regional, and European organizations. The newly released report shows that over the past three years, “822 European financial institutions (including banks, asset managers, insurance companies, and pension funds) had financial relationships with 58 companies that are actively involved with illegal Israeli settlements in the Occupied Palestinian Territory (OPT).”

Israeli Settlers Attack And Injure Palestinian, US Activists

A Palestinian citizen and several foreign activists, including US citizens, were injured on 21 July following an assault by Israeli Jewish settlers in the town of Qusra, located south of the city of Nablus in the occupied West Bank. WAFA news agency reported that, according to local sources, a group of settlers attacked the activists with batons and stones while they were working to plow and clear weeds from village lands. The Palestinian Red Crescent Society (PRCS) said its medics transferred two US citizens to the hospital after they were assaulted. Jewish settlers have become increasingly bold in confiscating Palestinian land and establishing farming outposts, which are illegal not only under international law but even under Israeli law.

Israel Approves Largest West Bank Land Grab In Three Decades

Israeli authorities last month approved the largest seizure of land in the occupied West Bank in over three decades, anti-settlement watchdog Peace Now revealed on 3 July. The activists said the approval allows for the appropriation of 12.7 square kilometers of land in the Jordan Valley, northeast of the West Bank city of Ramallah. By illegally authorizing their seizure, Tel Aviv is allowing the land to be leased to Israelis and banning private Palestinian ownership. According to Peace Now, this marks the largest single appropriation approved since the 1993 Oslo Accords. The move comes after the seizure of 8 square kilometers of land in the West Bank in March and 2.6 square kilometers in February.
