KKK-Style Israeli Lynching Leaves American Teenager Dead

Details have emerged of the killing of a 19-year-old American from Philadelphia who was shot dead by an armed Israeli settler during a raid on the Palestinian village of Mukhmas in the illegally occupied West Bank. The events were reconstructed by journalist Jasper Nathaniel, who interviewed multiple eyewitnesses present during the attack. Nasrallah Abu Siyam was killed on the first full day of Ramadan after masked settlers, some armed with automatic weapons, stormed the small shepherding community alongside Israeli soldiers. At least four other Palestinians were shot, several more were beaten with metal rods, and more than 300 sheep and goats were driven off by settlers as troops fired tear gas and stun grenades into residential areas.

Friday, July 11, marked a profound bereavement for the residents of Al-Mazraa Al-Sharqiyah village northeast of Ramallah, in the central occupied West Bank, after a group of illegal Israeli settlers treacherously murdered two young men of the village. Mohammad Shalabi (23), and Sayfollah Musallet (20) were in Mount Al-Baten, located between Al-Mazraa Al-Sharqiyah and a nearby village called Sinjil, when they were attacked by settlers and killed. A resident of Al-Mazraa Al-Sharqiyah told Peoples Dispatch that illegal Israeli settlers began to vandalize farms belonging to families of the village in Mount Al-Baten over a month ago.

May 22, 2025, was the last day of life as they knew it for the Bedouin community of Maghayer al-Deir, which until recently used to reside east of Ramallah, in the central occupied West Bank. The 24 Palestinian families who made up the community were forced to gather their belongings and leave their home in the eastern slopes of Ramallah overlooking the Jordan Valley. After three days of intense harassment and attacks on the community, Israeli settlers now have complete control over the little valley. Ahmad (not his real name), a father of 6 children from Maghayer al-Deir who spoke to Mondoweiss on the condition of anonymity, said that he had called the valley home all his life. “I was born in Maghayer al-Deir and have always been there,” he said.

Israeli Settlers Escalate Violence, Forced Displacement Across West Bank

The last few days have witnessed a dangerous escalation of violence, theft, and vandalism against Palestinians by illegal Israeli settlers in the occupied West Bank. Settlers attacked Palestinians in the Al-Auja Waterfall area in Jericho on 25 May for the third time in one day, as part of ongoing efforts to displace families who have lived in the area for decades and establish a new illegal settlement outpost.This came a day after settlers, under the protection of the Israeli army, cut off the water supply to the area. In the Salim plain east of the occupied city of Nablus, settlers also continued to set fire to wheat fields on Sunday, coinciding with separate attacks on Palestinian livestock herders in the northern Jordan Valley area.

In 1996, Daniel Jonah Goldhagen published a book that proposed to rewrite the history of the Holocaust. Its central point was that the Nazi genocide was chiefly made possible by the existence of a deep form of “demonological antisemitism” that had seeped into German society; Hitler and the Nazi regime weren’t so much agitating against Jews as they were simply giving ordinary Germans the green light to act on their already virulent genocidal attitudes. Without this form of “eliminationist antisemitism,” which according to Goldhagen was essentially a part of the fabric of German society long before the Nazis came to power, the Holocaust would not have been possible.
