Pentagon Ramps Up Preparations For Potential Attack On Cuba

The Pentagon has increased its preparations for a possible attack on Cuba, according to media reports, as President Trump has made clear that war against the island nation may be his next military intervention. Zeteo first reported the ramped-up plans for war with Cuba, saying that in recent days, “officials at the Pentagon and elsewhere in the US government were quietly given a new directive that came straight from the Trump White House. The message: ramp up your preparations for possible military operations against Cuba.” USA Today affirmed the Zeteo scoop.

We’re Tired Of Marco Rubio Speaking For Us

“Put three Cubans in a room together, you’ll have five different opinions,” a Cuban friend of mine likes to joke. He was referring to debates in the town-hall meetings during Cuba’s constitutional convention process of 2018. But I immediately thought, of course, of any Nochebuena celebration at my dad’s house, just a few hundred miles north. Siblings, cousins, babies, abuelas, family, and friends of all ages and political opinions gathered around a brilliant feast. Between the devouring of lechón, yuca, plátanos, and flan, a flurry of back and forth between English and Spanish.

How Marco Rubio Signaled A New Era Of Western Colonial Aggression

The unprovoked, illegal, and barbaric war launched against the Islamic Republic of Iran by the U.S. and the zionist entity (aka the State of Israel) was in no way shocking, surprising, or astounding. The months of U.S. military mobilizations in the Middle East and the rhetoric of high-ranking members of the U.S. and zionist entity’s governments all acted as a specter for aggression as part of a rapacious desire to establish and maintain Western influence and control of Arab and Persian Middle Eastern states, their people, and their natural resources.

Reparations, Justice Must Come

We live in an upside-down world. The leaders of the richer nations, the old colonial powers, want to rehabilitate the language of imperialism: praise for their past, and a desire to repeat that messianism in the present. Meanwhile, the peoples of the poorer nations agitate for peace and development, as well as for an apology for the crimes of colonialism and reparations for the plunder carried out during that period. The slogan from the people is simple: ‘Justice must come’. It rumbles now but will grow louder with time.

What Is The US Plan To Reverse The West’s Decline?

The West’s global dominance has been in serious decline for several decades. The US government wants to reverse this by undoing the progress made by decolonization and reimposing Western hegemony on the world — by force. US Secretary of State Marco Rubio delivered an overtly pro-colonialist speech to European leaders, in which he praised “the great Western empires” and said North America and Europe should unite to “build a new Western century”, based on the subjugation of the Global South. Speaking on behalf of the Donald Trump administration, Rubio made it clear that what Washington has done to Gaza, Venezuela, and Cuba is what it now hopes to do to the rest of the Global South — which represents 86% of the world population, and therefore constitutes the Global Majority.

Rubio’s Manifesto Means Imperialist Subjugation Of The World

Marco Rubio has laid down the battle lines, and it is time for every socialist and anti-racist on the planet to recognise the danger the United States poses to the world. The Donald Trump regime is imperialism unmasked: shorn of the usual guff disguising military aggression as defensive or motivated by humanitarian concerns. Rubio’s address to the Munich Security Conference spells out a mission of imperialist domination of the world equally clearly. If Harold Macmillan’s famous “winds of change” speech was seen as recognising the end of the colonial era, Rubio now demands that process of liberation be reversed.

Rubio ‘Deliberately’ Lies About Cuba Talks

US Secretary of State Marco Rubio has falsely informed President Donald Trump that “high-level” negotiations are taking place between Washington and Havana – despite no such talks existing, Drop Site News reported on 9 February.  According to the report, Rubio has fed this information to Trump as part of “his ambitious play to overthrow the Cuban government.” Five Cuban and US officials told Drop Site News that “there are and have been no negotiations involving high-level officials between Havana and Washington.” “He’s saying that because that’s what Marco is telling him,” a senior US government official said.

It’s Time To Go To Cuba In Solidarity Against Latest US Aggressions

I came back from Cuba over last weekend.  I had not been in Cuba since a year ago. Despite the warnings from the U.S. State Department and Marco Rubio, now is the time for U.S. citizens to travel to Cuba in solidarity with the Cuban people against the latest U.S. aggressions in the Caribbean and Latin America. Now of all times, it is important for U.S. citizens to show solidarity with the Cuban people against the threats of the U.S. government by travelling to Cuba. Yet, most U.S. citizens do not realize that they can go to Cuba as an individual or in a group.

Protester Speaks Out In US Senate: US Committed A War Crime

“Bombings, killings. That is a war crime,” said a protester during a public appearance of US Secretary of State Marco Rubio this Wednesday, January 28. Rubio was questioned before the US Senate Foreign Relations Committee about the illegal actions carried out by the US against Venezuela on January 3—an operation that included the bombing of populated areas in Caracas, Miranda, La Guaira, and Aragua and the kidnapping of the constitutional president, Nicolás Maduro, and his wife, Cilia Flores. The protester’s outcry occurred less than a minute after Marco Rubio—widely known for his warlike policy against Venezuela, Cuba, and Nicaragua—began to justify the actions that clearly violated international law.

Chris Hedges Report: Narco-Trafficking Elite Trying To Take Over Venezuela

History, as it’s understood in most Western countries, often misses important chapters that leave critical gaps in the story of how modern countries came to be. In Latin America in the 20th century, episodes of guerilla warfare and juntas are acknowledged, along with portrayals of a drug war, usually depicted through popular culture. What is left out, however, is the clandestine involvement of American intelligence agencies, including the CIA and DEA, and how their drug operations were intimately tied to the Latin American anticommunist brigades funded by Western capital throughout the Cold War, and the brutal liquidation of the Left these narco-terrorists often carried out.

Ecuador Votes To Reject Foreign Military Bases

The Donald Trump administration is trying to expand the presence of the US military across Latin America, in an attempt to forcibly impose Washington’s hegemony in the region. The people of Ecuador just delivered a major blow to Trump’s aggressive Latin America strategy. More than three-fifths of Ecuadorians voted to reject a change to their progressive constitution, which would have allowed the Pentagon to establish US military bases in their territory. Ecuador is currently governed by a right-wing president, Daniel Noboa, who is a key regional ally of Trump.

Machado Offers To Sell $1.7 Trillion Of Venezuela’s Assets To US Corporations

María Corina Machado is a far-right Venezuelan coup leader who has been funded by the US government since at least 2003. The Donald Trump administration is waging war on Venezuela, and if it can succeed in overthrowing the leftist government of President Nicolás Maduro, Machado would help to lead the new pro-US regime in Caracas. Machado won the 2025 Nobel Peace Prize, despite the fact that she openly supports Trump’s war on her country. She has for years called for a US military intervention to violently topple President Maduro.

Trump Failed To Pressure Countries To Support Illegal Blockade Of Cuba

A study by the firm Reputation Lab polled people in 60 major countries, and found that the United States has a very bad reputation. The US ranking fell from what was already a low rank of 30 out of 60 in 2024 to an even worse 48th place in 2025. A clear demonstration of the political isolation of the US government can be seen in votes at the United Nations. The vast majority of countries on Earth voted at the UN General Assembly on 29 October to demand an end to the illegal US blockade of Cuba, which has been maintained in blatant violation of international law for more than six decades. 165 countries, representing 85.5% of the UN’s 193 member states, voted in support of a resolution that emphasized the “necessity of ending the economic, commercial and financial embargo imposed by the United States of America against Cuba”.

The ‘Donroe Doctrine’: Trump’s Neocolonial Plan For Latin America

The US government has always meddled in Latin America’s internal affairs. This is far from new. The United States overthrew at least 41 governments in Latin America from 1898 to 1994, according to research by Columbia University historian John Coatsworth. In the past three decades, Washington has backed dozens more coups, coup attempts, regime-change operations, and “color revolutions” in the region. The US military has intervened in every single country in Latin America, according to data from the Congressional Research Service. (The only exception is French Guiana, which is a colony of France.) US imperialism has always been bipartisan in Washington, and has continued under both Republican and Democratic presidents.

Trump Orders CIA To Attack Venezuela

The United States is waging war on Venezuela. This is not a hypothetical; it is happening. The Donald Trump administration is using extreme violence to try to overthrow Venezuela’s President Nicolás Maduro. The US military has killed dozens of Venezuelans in strikes on boats in international waters without charge or trial. UN experts have publicly condemned these attacks as “extrajudicial executions” that violate international law. It is not only Venezuelans who have been executed by the US military. Among the victims of these illegal US attacks have been fishermen who were citizens of Colombia and Trinidad and Tobago.
