Denver, CO – On January 31 over 100 protesters gathered at James Manley Park in Denver for a rally against the tech and AI surveillance company Palantir, which has been headquartered in the state since leaving their Silicon Valley location in 2020. This spring, the company plans to move from their downtown Denver office to the Cherry Creek Financial House just four miles away. Crowds began gathering at the park around 10 a.m., rallying with signs demanding “No AI for war crimes!” and “No AI for ICE!” Palantir has been involved closely in contracts and deals with both the Israeli Defense Force and ICE.

Palantir Technologies, the CIA-linked technology firm, has come under fire for its role in helping US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) track and arrest undocumented immigrants targeted for deportation using information from government databases, Fortune reported on 28 January. ELITE, a tracking tool used by ICE and developed by Palantir, uses data from the government healthcare program Medicaid and other government databases to generate profiles of individuals ICE believes may be deportable. “ICE is using a Palantir tool that uses Medicaid and other government data to stalk people for arrest,” the Electronic Frontier Foundation (EFF), a nonprofit advocating for internet freedom, recently wrote.

The British government continues to push National Health Service (NHS) institutions to implement a contract with Palantir – a US tech firm complicit in Israel’s genocide in Gaza and in ongoing ICE violence in the United States – despite risks to data protection, health sovereignty, and access to care. A discussion coordinated by the Peace and Justice Project on Tuesday, January 20, brought together researchers, activists, and health workers to examine the likely consequences of the plan. The issue is not new to activists: many local initiatives have already opposed the NHS becoming reliant on Palantir products.

Denver, CO – On December 21, protesters gathered at the Cherry Creek Financial House in Denver for a noise rally to protest at the new headquarters of Palantir. The tech and AI surveillance company has plans to move into the new Cherry Creek location after months of community organizing have made their downtown headquarters untenable. Palantir, whose technology is widely used by ICE to track immigrants and by Israel to facilitate genocide in Gaza, was invited to place its headquarters in Denver by Colorado Governor Jared Polis, after protests drove them out of California in 2020.

Denver, CO – On July 26, Coloradans gathered outside Denver’s Union Station in a rally against software development company Palantir, which is complicit with apartheid Israel. Palantir develops artificial intelligence used both by ICE to facilitate mass arrests and deportations and by the Israel Defense Forces (IDF), with programs like “Lavender” and “Where’s Daddy” used to target and slaughter innocent Palestinian civilians and families by identifying targets, tracking them back to their homes, and deploying bombs. The protesters took aim at the Tabor Center, a skyscraper located in downtown Denver which leases out the 15th floor to Palantir to use as its headquarters.

This statement drew the following riposte from Iran by its Foreign Ministry Spokesman, Esmaeil Baqaei on 19 June: “This is too late, Mr. Grossi – you obscured this truth in your absolutely biased report that was instrumentalized by E3/U.S. to craft a resolution with baseless allegation of [Iranian] ‘non-compliance’; the same resolution was then utilized, as a final pretext, by a genocidal warmongering regime to wage a war of aggression on Iran and to launch an unlawful attack on our peaceful nuclear facilities.

Palantir’s Technology Used In Mississippi ICE Raids

Palantir’s FALCON Tipline software tool, a tool it sells to the Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) division of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), was used in the Mississippi raids that swept the state in August, when 680 people were arrested en masse by ICE agents. The Mississippi workplace raids were the largest immigration raid in a decade and among the largest such raids in American history. The raids lead to the arrest, prosecution, and deportation of hundreds of workers, separating them from their families, and terrorizing the immigrant community at large. The raids took place during the first day of school for many in the state, resulting in children returning to empty homes, following the detention of both parents by ICE. At least two children were left alone for eight days after their parents did not return from work.
