Hegseth Demands Iran Hand Over Uranium Or US Will Seize It

Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu have issued a new demand that Iran forfeit its uranium stockpile, or else face renewed attacks or a ground operation by the U.S. and Israel — a threat levied just hours after the start of a fragile temporary ceasefire on Tuesday. When asked if the U.S. has plans to force Iran to hand over its enriched uranium, Hegseth said in a press conference on Wednesday that “it’s always been non-negotiable that they won’t have nuclear capabilities.” “They’ll give it to us voluntarily, we’ll get it.

Hegseth Dismisses US Army Chief Of Staff Amid Plans For Ground Invasion

US Secretary of War Pete Hegseth has ousted the Army Chief of Staff, Gen. Randy George, US military officials announced on 3 April. War Department spokesperson Sean Parnell issued a statement on X stating that George would be “retiring from his position as the 41st Chief of Staff of the Army effective immediately.” “The Department of War is grateful for General George's decades of service to our nation. We wish him well in his retirement,” Parnell added. George, the army's top official, was appointed to the post by former US president Joe Biden in September 2023.

Iranian Leaders Join Millions-Strong Marches For Quds Day

Amid US claims that Iran's leadership was hiding underground “like rats,” the Islamic Republic's top officials appeared in public and openly walked the streets while attending a Quds Day rally in the capital, Tehran, on 13 March. Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian, Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi, and security chief Ali Larijani were all seen among demonstrators at the Quds Day rally, held yearly on the last Friday of Ramadan to express solidarity with the Palestinian people and to oppose Israel and Zionism. “Despite the so-called ‘brutal attacks’ by the Zionist regime and the United States, millions of Iranians flooded the streets of Tehran and cities across the country.

US Commanders Tell Troops Iran War ‘God’s Divine Plan’

Independent journalist Jonathan Larsen reported on 2 March that numerous US service members have lodged dozens of complaints saying senior officers are calling the war on Iran part of “God’s divine plan,” with claims that US President Donald Trump was “anointed by Jesus” to spark Armageddon. “President Trump has been anointed by Jesus to light the signal fire in Iran to cause Armageddon and mark his return to Earth,” one combat-unit commander allegedly told troops during a readiness briefing, according to a complaint submitted to the Military Religious Freedom Foundation (MRFF).

It Was A Bad Year For The United States Military

Every administration leaves it mark on the U.S. military. Some do so quietly, through budgetary or force-structure transformations. Others do so through the conduct of wars, or the conclusion of wars, or personnel reforms. But this past year will be remembered for something different: an erosion of the professional, legal, and ethical guardrails that have guided, protected, and enhanced America’s armed forces for generations. None of this should come as a surprise. Before this administration took office, I wrote that the job of secretary of defense is among the most demanding in government.

US Expands Military Encirclement Of China Across The Pacific

At a Pentagon meeting on Dec. 10, U.S. Secretary of War Pete Hegseth and his counterparts from Australia and Britain pledged to move “full steam ahead” with AUKUS, a trilateral military pact through which the United States is turning Australia into a forward operating base and nuclear-submarine hub for a potential war on China. In a joint statement, the three governments made clear the pact is about accelerating war preparations — building bases faster, expanding military staffing and pushing weapons development at full speed.  The announcement came as the United States deployed a pair of nuclear-capable bombers to patrol the Sea of Japan, escorted by Japanese fighter jets.

Resistance Builds Within Against Trump’s Drive To War With Venezuela

The US government has continued to accelerate its drive to war with Venezuela. While rumors circulate about phone calls and possible talks between US President Donald Trump and Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro, in tandem, the US head of state has continued to launch bizarre and illegal threats and accusations against the South American nation. On Saturday, November 29, Trump unilaterally declared that Venezuelan airspace was closed, despite international law stipulating that only Venezuela has authority over the airspace above its territory and reports that air traffic above Venezuela has since continued.

Mass Mobilization In Caracas Rejects US Threats Of Intervention

On November 25, tens of thousands of Venezuelans marched to defend national sovereignty. The event, dubbed the “Great Civic-Military, Police March for our National Flag and the Sword of Bolívar”, brought together various groups of military personnel, police, and civilians who demanded an end to Washington’s pressure on the Caribbean country. Since August, the Pentagon has deployed its troops in the Caribbean Sea to, according to the Trump administration, stop the entry of drugs which allegedly come out of Venezuela. At the same time, they have declared the Cartel de los Soles an international terrorist organization and identified the Venezuelan government leadership as part of that organization.

US Extrajudicial Strikes Kill 14 In Pacific Off The Coast Of Mexico

A total of 14 people were killed and one survived after the US government conducted three strikes against four small boats in the waters of the Eastern Pacific near Mexico, in what is being described as another extrajudicial killing. The information was released Tuesday morning by US Secretary of War Pete Hegseth, who claimed on social media that “three lethal kinetic attacks were carried out against four vessels operated by Designated Terrorist Organizations … A total of 14 narcoterrorists died during the three attacks.” Hegseth claimed that the first attack killed eight people on board two boats, the second killed four men, and the third killed two people. He also claimed that there is one survivor. While writing that “there were no casualties among the US forces,” Hegseth confirmed that the US government had ordered further extrajudicial executions, in flagrant violation of international and US laws.

The ‘Donroe Doctrine’: Trump’s Neocolonial Plan For Latin America

The US government has always meddled in Latin America’s internal affairs. This is far from new. The United States overthrew at least 41 governments in Latin America from 1898 to 1994, according to research by Columbia University historian John Coatsworth. In the past three decades, Washington has backed dozens more coups, coup attempts, regime-change operations, and “color revolutions” in the region. The US military has intervened in every single country in Latin America, according to data from the Congressional Research Service. (The only exception is French Guiana, which is a colony of France.) US imperialism has always been bipartisan in Washington, and has continued under both Republican and Democratic presidents.

Trump Declares War On The United States

Recently the name Department of Defense was retired and that federal agency in charge of the military was given its original name, Department of War. Immediately president Donald Trump implied via one of his Truth Social posts that he was declaring war on the city of Chicago. He then walked back his comment claiming that "We're not going to war. We're going to clean up our cities," which may have seemed benign for those engaging in wishful thinking until Trump and Secretary of War Pete Hegseth called a meeting of the top military brass. The gathering began with Hegseth telling admirals and generals that they needed to shape up, literally.

Mask Off US Empire: War Secretary Tells Military To Commit War Crimes

US Secretary of War Pete Hegseth gathered top generals and encouraged the military to commit war crimes and ignore international law. “You kill people and break things for a living”, Hegseth proudly told the military commanders, calling for “maximum lethality”. “We also don’t fight with stupid rules of engagement. We untie the hands of our warfighters, to intimidate, demoralize, hunt, and kill the enemies of our country”, he added. Meanwhile, Donald Trump ordered the Department of War to use US cities as “training grounds”, to fight the “enemy within”. He bragged about deploying the National Guard to cities like Washington, DC and Los Angeles, California, and said his next targets are Portland, Oregon and Chicago, Illinois.

The War Department’s War On Media

It should be evident by now to anyone paying even casual attention that exerting full-spectrum control over American media is among the Trump regime’s most perniciously obsessive projects. Of all the extra-constitutional messes this vulgar ignoramus is making, I count his assaults on media his gravest attempt to destroy what remains of American democracy and what little chance there may be to restore it. There are all sorts of cases in point. President Trump has a citizen’s right to file lawsuits against various media — ABC News, The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, Paramount Global (the parent of CBS News) — but to call these anything other than an antidemocratic assertion of executive power is out of the question.

Hegseth Addresses Top Commanders At Quantico, Puts Focus On Warfighting

Washington, DC — “Good morning, and welcome to the War Department because the era of the Department of Defense is over,” Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth told hundreds of generals and admirals gathered Tuesday at Marine Corps Base Quantico in Virginia. The secretary told the top military brass, summoned on short notice last week, that 10 directives would arrive in the inboxes of commands Tuesday. Some of the initiatives include adding combat field tests for combat arms units, emphasizing “male-level” standards for fitness, and seeing that every member of the joint force — including four-star generals — take a fitness test twice a year and meet height and weight requirements.

US War Chief Orders ‘Unusual Gathering’ Of Top Generals

US War Secretary Pete Hegseth has ordered hundreds of the US military's top leaders to meet on short notice for an unknown reason at a Marine Corps base in Virginia next week, the Washington Post reported on 25 September. “The Secretary of War will be addressing his senior military leaders early next week,” said chief Pentagon spokesman Sean Parnell. “The highly unusual directive was sent to virtually all of the military's top commanders worldwide,” the newspaper wrote, citing more than a dozen people familiar with the matter. The announcement comes months after Hegseth announced plans to carry out a major consolidation of top military commands. Hegseth's abrupt call for such an emergency meeting has led to concerns of a coming conflict.
