US Southern Command Maritime Executions Surge

The US Southern Command (SOUTHCOM) has intensified its lethal maritime operations in the Eastern Pacific and the Caribbean, with the death toll from its “kinetic strikes” reaching a new grim milestone of 168. While these extrajudicial killings initially sparked significant local and international outcry, recent US imperialist attacks against Venezuela, Iran, and Lebanon have shifted the focus of international attention, numbing the public’s sensitivity toward US imperialism’s ongoing atrocities. The latest series of attacks, which the US regime continues to characterize as counter-narcotics measures, has resulted in at least 14 additional deaths since late March.

Death Toll From US Extrajudicial Killings Reaches 142

US Southern Command (SOUTHCOM) reported a new lethal strike in the Eastern Pacific on Friday, bringing the total number of deaths from its “kinetic strikes” on small boats to 142. The announcement comes as international legal experts and human rights organizations condemn this US policy, characterizing it as extrajudicial killings. In a statement on Friday, February 20, SOUTHCOM reported that its Operation Southern Spear conducted a “successful kinetic strike” against a small boat suspected of drug trafficking. The operation resulted in three assassinations.

US Alleges Unverified Land Strikes In Venezuela Amid Rising Civilian Deaths

On Monday, the US Southern Command (SOUTHCOM) announced a new extrajudicial execution as part of its Operation Southern Spear, killing two civilians in a small boat in Eastern Pacific waters. In addition, since Sunday, US President Donald Trump has claimed that the US carried out land strikes on Venezuelan territory; however, the US regime has not provided evidence of these attacks. The US publicized its latest assassinations in the manner that has now become familiar: US SOUTHCOM announced on social media that a new round of executions of defenseless Latin American civilians had been carried out in the waters of the Eastern Pacific ocean.

US Escalates Caribbean Destabilization With 20th Strike

The US Southern Command (SOUTHCOM) announced a new “lethal kinetic strike” against a small boat in the Caribbean, the 20th of its kind to date. Although the announcement was made on Friday, November 14, it reportedly occurred on November 10, four days earlier. These “strikes” have been labeled as extrajudicial execution by the United Nations, “At the direction of Secretary of War Pete Hegseth, Joint Task Force Southern Spear conducted a lethal kinetic strike on a vessel operated by a Designated Terrorist Organization,” reads the statement accompanying the video of the strike that the SOUTHCOM posted on social media.

As Trump Wages War On The Caribbean, Its Peoples Rise To Defend Peace

Two Trinidadian fishermen were among the six victims of the US military’s fifth airstrike on a boat in the Caribbean. The White House again claims the boat was linked to drug trafficking, but has not provided evidence. Since the October 14 attack, Trump has confirmed three other strikes, raising the death count of what many are calling “extrajudicial killings” of Caribbean people by the US to at least 30, since the aggression began in September. Lenore Burnley, the mother of one of the Trinidadian victims, identified as Chad Joseph, assured local media outlet Guardian News that her son was not involved in drugs.

Argentina Surrenders Latin America’s Southernmost Land To The US

Although it seems like years, it has been only five months since President Donald Trump took office in the White House for the second time. His goal—effectively condensed in the slogan MAGA (Make America Great Again)—is to do whatever needs to be done to regain the lost primacy. It contemplates an unconventional socio-economic-political revolution whose scope involves us. For many reasons, Argentina and, above all, our South, are in the Trumpist “restoration” plan. He said it clearly on January 20, 2025, when he took office in the White House: “An exciting new era of national success is beginning… From this moment on, the decline of the US is over”.

US Reinforces Control Over Peru

On June 7, 2021, a political earthquake occurred in Peru. A political outsider, the rural teacher Pedro Castillo, was elected president of the country with the promise of transforming a political and economic system built on great inequalities among the Peruvian population. The first measure taken by this government was the initiative of Foreign Minister Héctor Béjar to leave the Lima Group, which weakened the regime change operation against Venezuela, initiated by the United States. The foreign minister’s sovereign decision would cost him his job. Just 15 days after taking office, he was dismissed by Congress.
