Iran Strikes Israeli Chemical Complex Linked To White Phosphorus

An Iranian ballistic missile made direct impact at the ICL Rotem chemical complex in the Negev on 25 March, causing a large blast and the outbreak of a fire near the site.  The facility is located in the Rotem Industrial Zone near Dimona, and houses infrastructure belonging to several industrial and technology companies, including ICL Rotem, which supplies white phosphorous to the US military, according to research compiled by Resistance News Network (RNN).  Footage of the missile impact site was geolocated to the facility. Damage to a structure was reported.

Leaked Report Finds Israel Targeting United Nations Troops In Lebanon

Israel’s military has attacked UNIFIL troops deployed on the Lebanon–Israel border a dozen times, including possibly with white phosphorus, the Financial Times (FT) reported on 22 October. According to a confidential report prepared by a country contributing troops to the UN mission, Israeli forces forcibly entered a clearly marked UN base and are suspected of using the incendiary chemical white phosphorus, injuring 15 UN soldiers. Israeli forces began targeting UN troops shortly after launching ground operations across the border into Lebanon on 1 October. UNIFIL has called the attacks “deliberate” and a “flagrant violation of international law.”
