The People Of The United States Say No War On Iran

| Resist!

On Saturday, January 4, protests against a US war on Iran took place in more than 80 cities in 38 states across the country. Organized by the ANSWER Coalition, CODEPINK and Popular Resistance, the number of protests rose quickly after President Trump’s murder of Qassem Soleimani, the leader of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps’ elite Quds Force along with Abu Mahdi Al-Muhandis, a leader of Iraq’s Popular Mobilization Units on Thursday. The two were killed by US forces in Iraq by a drone close to a civilian airport in Baghdad.

The United States has been conducting a “maximum pressure” campaign against Iran but these assassinations are a new level of recklessness and lawlessness by the United States. They have raised concerns by world leaders. Iran has vowed to respond after it finishes three days of mourning for Soleimani. People in the United States and Iran are worried about the possibility of a full-on war.

Protesters across the country called for no war on Iran, the US out of Iraq and the Middle East and an end to US sanctions on Iran. The sanctions have caused suffering in Iran because of the resultant high prices of basic necessities and lack of access to medications.

Organizers of the protests will announce next steps soon.

Demonstrators in Washington, DC gave a message of solidarity and love for the Iranian people:

It should be an uplifting moment seeing all these protests. It’s too bad you can’t watch them on television. It’s sad that all the politicians are keeping their mouths shut. I, as a Canadian, mourn the death of democracy in the US. R.I.P America.

  • Iran has just raised the Red Flag of War

  • To see so many in the streets is encouraging. That Mainstream Media is silent is telling. MSM has been weaponized. It may be the most effective weapon against U.S. citizens. If people do not know the truth, they will rally behind their executioners like lambs to the slaughter.

  • I posted the following comment on Truthdig – it was censored either by Truthdig or Disqus. Perhaps that occurred because I named some names; I’ll refrain from doing that here in hopes that prevents its deletion.

Here is my comment on the cause and likely consequences of this recent U.S. assassination. The true God of the United States’ ruling class is money – pure and simple. If you control the flow of money, you control all life that it touches. Whoever has the most money, makes the rules (hence, the real rulers are those that hold the most money – in most cases, not your politicians). Those with the most money these days
are the major shareholders of the mega corporations in the technology, banking, and arms sectors. All of these sectors profit from natural resource (oil, minerals, fertile land, cheap labor, etc.) acquisition and control. At present, a large majority of these money giants hail from the United States, France, and Great Britain. Many of these people
would not be familiar to you as they prefer to stay out of the lime light. I’ll provide just a few names as examples (there are hundreds) – names deleted. People within the circles of power know their names well. These elite few sit on many corporate boards and belong to numerous think tanks aka policy making institutions and some have and will again hold positions within government (appointed, rarely elected positions) – this set-up is commonly referred to as the revolving door and is what maintains this group’s hold on the money machine and therefore grip on the power wheel.

This group of rulers hailing from the Western oriented nations have run up against a force that challenges their global dominance – that force is China (now coupled with Russia). The China/Russia team has acquired enough money and military might to present an obstacle to the Western power group in its perpetual quest to gain and retain natural resources that feed its wealth creating machine that allows it to determine and shape the present and future of other nations on the global map. The China/Russia team have their own ideas about how the world should be shaped (they say they’re not interested in global domination but their extensive investments in South America, Africa,
Middle East, and some of Europe suggest otherwise).

This Iran situation is a smaller part of the ongoing battle for global dominance between the Western and Eastern power blocks. Intended or unintended, this assassination of Iran’s top General is the spark that has lit a new ‘hot’ global war. Given the larger picture, it was bound to start somewhere; now we know where. The question remaining is the
extent of destruction it will cause.

In the coming months we will see escalating violence in more and more places. Unfortunately, we in the U.S. will likely not have the luxury we have so long enjoyed, of having these military conflicts take place outside our borders. Eventually, if not in the near future, we will be the recipients of violent attack.

    Unless,
We the people stop this madness. The U.S. dollar and military is the biggest stick used by the ruling elites – take that away and we may have a chance at peace vs. global war.

I’ve a strange felling that mutTrump (CIA & MOSSAD & MIC) response will be:

    MORE BOMBS
    MORE WAR
    MORE TROOPS AWAY FROM HOME

But this is just my gut felling!

Unless you guys can keep up these protests, and start to disrupt their good lives, (protests around their houses and places of work, it’s very difficult to change their (DEMs&REPs) mindsets.

  • voza0db

Well… FAKETruthdig almost always deletes my comments when I post this REALITY!

When I refer names of powerful financial terrorists… bye bye comment!

They either DELETE or mark comments as spam… Those are the new rules of freedom of speech!

  • Something to ponder…

The U.S. economy has fractured into two. There is the Wall Street economy fueled by the Fed money printing machine where that money is directed to a few mega banks who invest that money in equities, fx, derivatives, REITs, and luxury products. This free money does not flow to the other U.S. economy – Main Street. While the Wall Street economy floats high chewing bubbleicious flavored greenback gum, Main Street’s economy sinks ever lower into recession with stagnant wages, rising personal debt, and years of compounded annualized inflation of 8-10% or more on the basic necessities of life.

The U.S. rule of law has also fractured into two. Main Street is subject to laws that imprison citizens for being poor or of a certain race, laws that make it easier to prosecute people for protesting, laws that allow and promote the collection of your communications and activities and location so that you may be detained should you behave in a manner that is viewed detrimental to Wall Street’s (includes Pennsylvania Ave.) continued existence.

On the other side of the tracks is the rule of law that applies to the elites – the 1% that hold positions of extreme influence over actions taken by U..S. government and corporations. The laws that apply to this group are few; essentially they consist of an internal code of conduct that protects the perpetuation of the establishment. Only when individuals of this group run afoul of this code, are they held accountable – quietly.

This is not a sustainable situation.

On another “news” site I was banned because one contributor felt that image to be anti-semitic and contacted the JSS and that was it…

  • Iraq’s lawmakers have just approved a bill to expel U.S. forces from its nation.

  • Britain has sided with the US

  • Anti-war protests are forming around the globe. Let’s hope they become massive in attendance and widespread geographically. A worldwide anti-war movement may be able to stop the U.S. global war march.

  • kevinzeese

They always do. They are a US lap dog.

  • kevinzeese

Will the US leave or become an occupier?

  • 2Ronnie47

A good place to start is at the offices of the MIC contractors, Raytheon, General Dynamic, Northrop Grumman, Lockeed Martin, Boeing, BAE Systems etc. These corps have offices all over the country.

  • voza0db
  • Yes they do even when doing so could be very detrimental to their own national health.

  • I don’t know. I doubt they’ll leave when first asked. The Iraqis intend to seek UN support on this issue – if they get it, maybe that will provide the firmer shove to get the U.S. out. It’s not like the U.S. would have to move far – they can camp over in Saudi Arabia or Israel, maybe even Kuwait.

  • voza0db

But don’t forget that every distraction allows the financial terrorists to keep working in the shadows!

  • voza0db

Britain and USofT Owners & Rulers are the same…

  • voza0db

I know! Time for the american terrorists to assassinate ALL THOSE Iraqi politicians… to allow TRUE DEMOCRACY AND FREEDOM to return to Iraq…

Israel would be a good place to camp IF they were in possession of Syria! Since they with the help of the USofT (using ISIS & al-Qaeda) weren’t able to achieve such wish, they don’t have space for americans!

  • voza0db

Since there are many uman animals in Britain that are from that region and have the same religion… it seems the British party will be lovely!

  • didactic1

Unfortunately, tens if not hundreds of millions of Americans support anything the armed forces do. A contrast to to scattered antiwar protestors.

America.has 3 industries: War, Agriculture and finance.

  • didactic1

Very ferw. How many watched NFL playoffs same day, which always begin with pro military propaganda.

Assassinations are a great way to stimulate a bloodthirsty, nationalist public that extends far beyond Trump die hards.

  • didactic1

Trudeau and his minority regime of corporate facilitators are democracy?

You are an unwitting hypocrite. I give you benefit of doubt re your wit.

    😳

  • didactic1

The defense industry and it’s spinoffs are thriving. Suburbs in MD and VA look like major cities.

  • didactic1

Iran will likely collapse soon. The consequences will be close to ww3 or ww3.

  • didactic1

Your thoughts are unoriginal and trite.

Thus, why censor them? Your delusions of grandeur?

But if you had an original idea, do explain.

  • Yes, they have big budgets to play with – the overt one and the off-the-books one.

  • didactic1

Iran advocates violence to achieve it’s theological and ideological goals. It has done so since 1979.

This is an accurate observation. It is not a criticism or opinion advocacy.

  • didactic1

The troops in Middle East are in harm’s way regardless of the Quds general’s death. Forces in Middle East are deployed to maintain US energy and trade interests in Eurasia. This was established by the Carter Doctrine, financed by Congress and reaffirmed by every President and Pentagon Strategic Review since Carter.

  • didactic1

NATO is deeply involved in Iraq, Syria, Libya, and Afghanistan.

You are lightly informed, perhaps unformed as well.

  • didactic1

That is fine. They invited US in. US then can leave. I hope US leaves. Let’s see how many Iraqis then butcher each other. Iran would then intervene, but as you know, Iran itself is on verge of economic collapse and civil war.

  • voza0db

    That’s just simple wishful thinking.

  • voza0db
  • Tony

The Chinese ‘magnetic-car-sticker’ factories better get prepared for the “patriotic Americans” who plan on buying them so that they can let everyone know that they “support the troops”…….

  • 2Ronnie47

Shameful. These women are traitors to their gender. As women right now, I think the world is looking to us to be the peacemakers, not the warmongers-in-chief.

  • kevinzeese

The country that uses violence is the US. Iran uses asymmetrical responses to US aggression in the region. US being in the Middle East is the problem. It is time for the US to leave. It has caused enough chaos and death.

  • kevinzeese

You do not know Iran at all. They have a resistance economy that has been dealing with US sanctions since 1979. They are unified against US imperialism. They will be in the Middle East long after the US is forced to leave.

  • France just expressed their solidarity with the U.S. – Reuters

  • didactic1

They will be around a long time. The mullahs won’t. The population is exploding, economy declining, ideas penetrating, average age falling.

  • didactic1

Iran has attacked Sunni nations for reasons other than clumsy US. Let Iran allow the creation of independent unions and secular socialist organizations, rights for women and gay humans.

  • didactic1

Quite realistic. A secular nationalist state will be a bigger headache for West as it aligns with Russia.

  • voza0db

    FUN never ends!

The US military’s Africa Command has confirmed that one serviceman and two contractors were killed on Sunday when the jihadist militant group Al-Shabaab attacked a military base in Kenya.“!

  • voza0db

What “secular nationalist state” are you referring to?

  • voza0db

That sounds just like the USofT description…

  • voza0db

I agree with you. The day umans accelerated the degeneration process was the day when Women had the brilliant idea of “thinking” that having access to the same “jobs” men had was a great thing.

  • voza0db

Never trust French people! We know that for centuries! We had to kill them in order to expel them… those were our “USofT” like good old days!

  • voza0db
  • voza0db

Why do you want to impose that to the Iranian People?

Your society is a total mess with those things… or is that just the usual envious behaviour?

  • Old 8 Legs

The only protests the media covers are the DNC pep rallies organized by the major “grassroots” protest organizations.

These are actual marches against war and imperialism, and it’s very refreshing.

  • didactic1

    Racism is omnipresent!

That’s why I call ourselves Uman Animals… And there is no sign this will CHANGE anytime soon!
