Fight for the Future has teamed up with major celebrities and web companies for one last day of action on Thursday, November 29 to convince Congress to overturn the FCC’s repeal.
The last day for Congress to overturn the FCC is Dec. 10, so we need to drive as much constituent pressure as possible to make them do the right thing. We need to make the most of this moment and get as many lawmakers as possible signed on to strong net neutrality rules before the end of the year.
To help make this happen, we’ve created a new campaign page for the November 29th day of action called DeadlineForNetNeutrality.com – and it’s pretty epic. The page asks users from across the Internet and political spectrum to sign an open letter to Congress, and then submit / share an “I support net neutrality” photo to show lawmakers the faces of net neutrality supporters. We want lawmakers to look us straight in the eyes before they decide how to vote. Check out the page here.
This is our last best chance to save net neutrality, folks. Passing the CRA resolution to overturn the FCC truly is our best shot. After the deadline passes, it’s going to get a lot harder to restore strong rules against blocking, throttling, and new fees.
