The People’s Convention is where people eager to reclaim their democracy will join together to unite behind a common policy framework, rather than a personality or party.
This one day event will take place on July 23rd at the historic Arch Street Meeting House (ASMH) in Philadelphia. Organizers from around the country will be in attendance in order to ratify a People’s Platform, participate in movement building exercises and to discuss next steps for the political revolution spearheaded by Bernie Sanders’ presidential campaign.
We received word that we are able to rent additional space at ASMH, which will be designated for organizing workshops. Move to Amend and Popular Resistance are two of the first groups that have signed on to host a workshop in this space. This will give our attendees the opportunity to learn more about these grassroots organizations (and others) and to plug into important work being done to further a progressive agenda. But we need your help.
It is important that The People’s Convention be free of charge and accessible to the public without any hinderance due to financial means. For this reason, we ask that you please contribute to this gofundme campaign, so we are able to secure the additional space we need for this key programming.
