Frack Free Nation invites you to sign on and join us on Earth Day 2015 – April 22nd, in creating a Day of Global Action to send a powerful message to the Nation and all our World Leaders
NYS Governor Andrew Cuomo set a precedent and “Banned” fracking in NY, however, our movements are battling infrastructure projects of pipelines, compressor stations, storage and export facilities, bomb trains, frac sand trains, and toxic radioactive waste from Pennsylvania’s fracked methane gas industry coming across our border into NY landfills and being sprayed on our roads.
The EPA, under it’s Clean Air Plan, requires each governor to submit a plan to meet reduced carbon levels, this year. They suggest that this be done by building as many as 300 methane gas electric power generation plants in 45 states. This would LOCK us in to 30 more years of fracking and environmental destruction. Our Governors have a choice. We need to make our voices heard on this matter now, before the wrong move is made.
Please join us on Earth Day 2015 in Calling on Governor Cuomo to put forth a plan that includes only clean, renewable, waste and emission free energy and to ensure a “Just Transition” to clean and renewable energy by launching a massive program that brings good paying Green jobs back to our ailing Southern Tier, Central, and Western NY economies, and could lead the nation in the renewable revolution by setting an example for the rest of our elected officials to follow.
We Would Like to See Thousands from NY and PA, MA, NH, CT, MD, OH, VT, WV, VA, and beyond, Converging on Albany, NY demanding an end to the poisoning of our communities by the Fossil Fuel and Nuclear Power Paradigm.
We Envision a beautiful Family Friendly Earth Day 2015 at West Capitol Park where we make our voices heard, Speaking Truth to Power, in a Call to Action for Governor Cuomo and ALL our Leaders to do what is best for the Planet, Climate, Health, and well being of our Children, all living things, and the next Seven Generations. The Day will be filled with Science, Innovation,Theater, and Socially Conscious Music, while We Stand on the Side of Love For all Life and Co-Create This Energy Shift, by Uniting our collective voices.
Peaceful Direct Action is planned – Away from the Peaceful(and legal), but Powerful Rally in West Capitol Park.. As part of a strategy to let our Governor know we are serious, about blocking pipelines, bomb trains and other infrastructure.
On Earth Day we will encompass many issues affecting the sustainability of a healthy earth community. We will have speakers to expose many related issues, including-War & Peace, Environmental Racism, Native and Women’s rights, GMO’s, factory farming and pesticide use, aerosol spraying and Geo engineering, and the very root – A Corporate take over of our government – money in politics, and Secret Trade deals like TPP, TiPP, and TiSA, that threaten to take away all our sovereignty and destroy ability for public dissent. These trade bills even allow for privatization of our WATER. Protecting our water is essential for all life.
We encourage you to be a part of creating the day’s activities. You may decide on your level of participation including your own individual or group action that day during the rally. You may suggest a speaker or form of entertainment, as well. Groups and Green Businesses are encouraged to table We encourage you to come out to the park and celebrate Earth Day 2015, while we work to move away from corporate intrusion, and towards energizing our democracy with community owned power, and a healthier one for all living beings.
Bring The Children – Take them out of school for one educational beautiful spring day, and witness history in the making, at what we envision being the largest CLIMATE JUSTICE RALLY ever to hit ALBANY
