Inalienable Right Of Africans, People Of African Descent To Reparations

Asserting the “inalienable right of Africans and people of African descent to full reparations” for “slavery, colonialism, apartheid, and systemic exploitation”, an international Pan-African conference on November 18 and 19 adopted the Accra Declaration on Reparatory Justice. Mandating the establishment of a “Pan-African Reparatory Justice Coordinating Committee” and laying out the next steps to be taken, the Accra declaration signalled “a new era of coordinated global action on reparatory justice,” said the Pan-African Progressive Front (PPF). A global platform undertaking research, advocacy, and grassroots mobilization to strengthen the Pan-African movement, the PPF organized this event to commemorate the 80th anniversary of the historic 5th Pan-African Congress in October 1945 in Manchester, England.

As Trump Wages War On The Caribbean, Its Peoples Rise To Defend Peace

Two Trinidadian fishermen were among the six victims of the US military’s fifth airstrike on a boat in the Caribbean. The White House again claims the boat was linked to drug trafficking, but has not provided evidence. Since the October 14 attack, Trump has confirmed three other strikes, raising the death count of what many are calling “extrajudicial killings” of Caribbean people by the US to at least 30, since the aggression began in September. Lenore Burnley, the mother of one of the Trinidadian victims, identified as Chad Joseph, assured local media outlet Guardian News that her son was not involved in drugs.

No To US State Terrorism In The Caribbean Sea

Organization for the Victory of the People (OVP) rejects the false narrative peddled by the Trump Administration, claiming that President Nicolas Maduro and his administration are connected to drug trafficking into the United States. The world is tired of US imperialism’s playbook, creating false flags and narratives in order to initiate wars and orchestrate regime change. President Ali and the PPP Government, in collusion with the Trump Administration, are leading Guyana in a direction that can only bring us chaos and catastrophe. War with our neighbor can never be in our best interest. The current dispute between Guyana and Venezuela, while framed as a territorial dispute, is related to much larger and more menacing issues.

Haitians Reject Kenya’s Plan For Armed Intervention

A Kenyan assessment mission arrived in Haiti’s capital Port-au-Prince on August 20 to evaluate the security situation in the Caribbean country. The 10-member mission met with senior officials of the de-facto government led by Ariel Henry, the police, and the diplomatic corps of other nations during its three-day visit, which concluded on August 23. The visit and the plan was condemned by progressive organizations and rights groups which strongly opposed foreign intervention. The delegation’s visit came weeks after Kenya offered to lead a multinational police force in Haiti to help improve its security and stem gang violence.
