Video: Sovereign Summer Protest Against Shale Oil, 12 Arrested

Early in the morning of June 14, First Nation protesters in New Brunswick, Canada blocked the intersection of Highways 126 and 116 to stop work trucks from passing through on their way to perform seismic testing for shale oil extraction. Twelve were arrested and held in custody.This is one of many protests taking place to end the extraction economy’s assault on Mother Earth as part of Sovereign Summer.
