Vets For Peace Against War, Strong for Peace & Justice

As part of “Searching for Occupy,” Crystal Zevon’s trip across the country in 2013, Crystal met with numerous members of Veterans for Peace.  You will find VFP members standing for social and economic justice, and in opposition to wars and militarism, wherever you go.  No matter who is president, Democrat or Republican, VFP stays on path opposed to the US foreign policy of war, militarism and Empire.  Whether it is shutting down Guantanamo Bay, opposing the drone program, opposing NSA spying or opposing wars in Iraq, Afghanistan, Libya or Syria — VFP will be on the front lines.  Throughout the Occupy Movement, across the country, VFP members participated, camped out in public spaces and marched with occupiers; their Peace Teams would stand between police and protesters to either calm the situation, minimize the risk of arrest or be the first arrested.  This film by Crystal Zevon documents many of these stories.
