In West Bank Pogrom.
Israeli troops abducted Hamdan Ballal from an ambulance while he was receiving treatment for injuries sustained in the settler attack.
Palestinian filmmaker Hamdan Ballal, co-director of the Academy Award-winning documentary film ‘No Other Land,’ was beaten and injured by Israeli settlers in the occupied West Bank on 24 March before being arrested by Israeli security forces.
“A group of settlers just lynched Hamdan Ballal … They beat him, and he has injuries in his head and stomach, bleeding. Soldiers invaded the ambulance he called and took him. No sign of him since,” Israeli journalist Yuval Abraham announced via social media.

Dozens of extremist Jewish settlers descended on the Palestinian village of Susiya in the Masafer Yatta area of Hebron in the southern occupied West Bank on Monday night, destroying property and attacking civilians, according to the activist group Center for Jewish Nonviolence.
Israeli pogroms have become commonplace in the occupied West Bank over recent years, as Jewish settlers – emboldened by police and army protection – ravage Palestinian villages, setting fire to homes, businesses, and vehicles, all while attacking civilians.
Armed settlers are also known to open fire at Palestinian civil defense crews who try to put out the fires.

‘No Other Land’ tells the story of Masafer Yatta’s residents and their struggle against the Israeli occupation’s attempts to demolish their villages. The film features two Palestinian co-directors, Ballal and Basel Adra, also residents of Masafer Yatta, alongside Israeli directors Yuval Abraham and Rachel Szor.
Ballal is also a member of the Humans of Masafer Yatta project and a volunteer field researcher with Israeli NGO B’Tselem. He has been involved in documenting the Israeli occupation’s abuses against Palestinians in Susiya, a community facing escalating Israeli assaults aimed at forced displacement.
According to +972 Magazine, settler-soldier militias have threatened Susiya with “death and displacement.”
