Photos: Protestors Confront Petraeus at Stanford University

On March 14th, 2014, student anti-war activists at Stanford University invited CodePink and World Can't Wait to join them in a protest outside the campus venue where war criminal and Four-Star General, David Petraeus was speaking. Activists brought signs and visual displays to break the silence and deliver the truth to the public entering, reminding them of the crimes that bloody the General's hands. Below are some photos of the event. (Photos by Curt Wechsler of World Can't Wait.)

The six students were detained on Tuesday as they demonstrated outside a fundraiser being attended by Petraeus, who began his career as a City University of New York adjunct professor this month. The students were charged on Wednesday night with multiple offenses including disorderly conduct, riot, resisting arrest and obstruction of governmental administration. Scores of academics at CUNY have signed a petition calling for charges to be dropped against the six students. The academics have also called for the former four-star general to resign from his teaching role at CUNY.
