UN Warns of ‘Total Destruction’.

Israeli forces killed at least 31 Palestinians on Sunday, including aid workers, while escalating attacks that left 50,000 homeless and prompted UN warnings that Gaza is being systematically destroyed and rendered uninhabitable.

Since dawn on Sunday, Israeli occupation forces have killed 31 Palestinians, including aid workers, in a series of airstrikes and ground assaults across the Gaza Strip.

Local officials said that at least 50,000 people were made homeless following Israeli evacuation orders that forced residents to flee south along Rashid Al-Bahri Street.

The attacks come as Israel presses ahead with its nearly two-year genocidal war on Gaza, marked by attempts to reoccupy Gaza City and forcibly displace its residents.

Hospitals across the Strip reported dozens of casualties. Al-Quds Hospital confirmed seven people were killed in strikes on the Tal al-Hawa neighborhood in southern Gaza City, while 20 others were wounded by Israeli fire on Street 8. Emergency services reported four deaths in a strike on a displacement tent at Palestine Stadium, west of Gaza City.

In central Gaza, Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital said six Palestinians, including women and children, were killed in an attack on a displacement site west of Deir al-Balah.

Israeli forces also targeted civilians waiting for food and aid. Eight Palestinians were killed near the Netzarim axis, while five more were shot dead at an aid distribution point run by the so-called “Gaza Humanitarian Foundation.”

In Rafah, four people were killed and 25 were injured by Israeli gunfire at another aid center. Drone strikes in Khan Yunis killed two more Palestinians, one in the city center and another in the Al-Mawasi area.

At the same time, Israeli troops demolished the Al-Kawthar residential tower in the Al-Rimal neighborhood of Gaza City and issued threats against schools sheltering displaced families. Gaza’s Civil Defense said 50,000 people were left homeless in less than a week.

The Government Media Office in Gaza accused Israel of pursuing a policy of “systematic destruction, genocide, and ethnic cleansing.” UNRWA warned that Gaza is being turned into a wasteland, with children starving, families displaced, and more than 70 percent of Gaza City destroyed, including basic infrastructure.

Adnan Abu Hasna, UNRWA’s media advisor, described the situation as “a kind of madness,” warning that one million Palestinians are being forced into a 15-square-kilometer area amid ongoing bombing, while southern Gaza already shelters 1.2 million people with no space, tents, or medical supplies.

He stressed that Israel’s objective is to render Gaza uninhabitable and force mass emigration.

Meanwhile, Israeli Defense Minister Yisrael Katz said a “hurricane” continues to hit Gaza, boasting of the destruction of what he called the “terrorist” Al-Nour Tower. Katz vowed to keep dismantling “terror infrastructure” with US backing until Hamas is “subdued” and hostages are freed.

Since October 7, 2023, Israel’s assault has killed 64,803 Palestinians, wounded 164,264, and displaced hundreds of thousands. At least 420 people, including 145 children, have died of famine amid Israel’s blockade of food and medical aid.
