The Israeli army is attempting to expel the hundreds of thousands of Palestinians from north Gaza.
By committing daily massacres and making the area unlivable.
Hamas said in a statement on 24 October that it has launched an “intensive” diplomatic and political campaign aimed at thwarting the General’s Plan, through which Israel is trying to empty out northern Gaza via extermination and expulsion and transform it into a military zone.
The statement said Hamas has warned, in the contacts it is making, of the “scale of the massive daily massacres that have reached the most heinous levels that humans can imagine, including terrorism, killing, and the execution of children and women in cold blood, as well as the organized displacement of about one hundred and fifty thousand people.”
It warned Israel is continuing to use starvation as a method of warfare against the people of Gaza, and is depriving people from receiving medicine and much-needed humanitarian aid. Hamas also condemned the brutal besiegement of hospitals in the strip.
At least 34 people were killed across Gaza on 24 October, most of them in the central and southern areas of the besieged strip, medical sources told Al Jazeera. A minimum of 17 people, among them at least nine children and a number of elderly, were killed in an Israeli airstrike on the Al-Shuhada school sheltering displaced civilians in the Nuseirat camp in central Gaza.
“The occupation army knew that the school housed thousands of displaced persons and that the majority of them are children and women who were displaced from their bombed homes and residential neighborhoods,” Gaza’s Government Media Office said on 24 October.
This was the 196th school to be bombed by the Israeli army since the start of the war, the media office added.
Medical sources cited by WAFA news agency said at least four were killed in a separate attack targeting the Al-Maghazi Camp Services Club, a facility sheltering displaced Gazans in the Maghazi refugee camp in central Gaza.

The Israeli army also bombed tents for the displaced in the Abu Hussein school in the northern city of Jabalia, which has been targeted repeatedly by Israeli forces in recent days.

The northern Gaza Strip has been devastated by Israeli forces since the start of the siege in the area in early October.
Gaza Civil Defense officials announced late on 23 October that they had been forced to halt all operations in the north of the strip as a result of the bloody Israeli campaign that has gripped the region for the past 20 days.
The General’s Plan being implemented by Israel in the north aims to expel the hundreds of thousands of Palestinians who remain in northern Gaza. Israel aims to isolate the north and transform it into a military zone.
Hundreds have been killed in the north since the start of the siege two weeks ago, which has focused heavily on Jabalia and its refugee camp. Despite the mass expulsion of hundreds recently, many in Jabalia and elsewhere in the north have refused to leave their homes.
