The Global Day of Solidarity with Venezuela and for Peace in Latin America and the Caribbean was held in locations around the world. The solidarity event comes in response to the recent interventionist actions and threats by the United States Government against the Venezuelan people and government, which include the deployment of military vessels in the Caribbean Sea as an excuse for intervention and destabilization, as well as the increase of a bounty on President Nicolás Maduro’s head, whom the US falsely accuses of association with drug trafficking.

With the slogan “Hands off Venezuela!” resonating strongly from South Africa to Australia, events were held in locations around the world such as the United Kingdom, Serbia, Malaysia, Colombia, Mexico, Azerbaijan, Austria, Bolivia, South Korea, Brazil, Equatorial Guinea, Burkina Faso, Cuba, Jordan, Kazakhstan, Senegal, and others.

The activities took place in public squares, embassies, universities, and cultural spaces, and included mobilizations, gatherings, forums, artistic expressions, and solidarity statements.
