BAP Condemns US Plans For Another UN Military Occupation Of Haiti

Once again, the Haiti/Americas Team of the Black Alliance for Peace (BAP) strongly denounces the latest attempts by the U.S. to push for yet another UN military occupation of Haiti. We condemn this action and the relentless assaults on Haitian self-determination by the US and its criminal allies. We also urge Caribbean and Latin American governments to stand in solidarity with Haiti – just as they have stood with one another against violations of national sovereignty in Venezuela, Cuba, Honduras, etc. – as the Haitian people continue to bear the brunt of U.S. imperial policies and actions in the region.

Black Alliance For Peace Condemns Biden Administration’s Order To Deport Haitians

When a white Fox News reporter used a drone to film the thousands of Haitian and other Black asylum seekers camped beneath a bridge spanning the Rio Grande and linking Del Rio, Texas to Ciudad Acuña, in the Coahuila state of Mexico, he immediately (and deliberately) brought a stereotypical image of Black migration: That of the teeming, African hordes, ready to burst the borders and invade the United States. Such images are as cheap as they are racist. And, typically, they erase the larger question: Why are so many Haitians at the U.S. border? But before that question could be addressed, the Biden administration struck with a decisiveness not seen throughout its 9-month tenure in office in ordering Haitian refugees—many of them with legitimate asylum claims—to be summarily deported to Haiti.

Black Alliance For Peace Condemns US Intervention In Ethiopia

The Black Alliance for Peace (BAP) U.S. out of Africa Network and BAP member organization Horn of Africa Pan-Africans for Liberation and Solidarity have condemned, under no uncertain terms, any and all forms of intervention and meddling in the internal affairs of Ethiopia. In its statement entitled: "Don't allow another U.S.-NATO Libya in the Horn of Africa" BAP announced that paternalistic U.S. government political posturing toward Africa has a history of turning into fatal consequences for the masses of African peoples. As it did against Libya, U.S. imperialism is weaponizing disinformation and misinformation to exploit and distort the complexity, historical context and political realities in the Horn of Africa to create the pretext for more direct intervention, it stated.
