OAS Violates Its Own Rules To Put Guaido Representative On Their Governing Body

WASHINGTON DC – On April 9th, the Organization of American States’ permanent council voted under US pressure to adopt a resolution installing Venezuelan opposition leader Juan Guaido’s representative, Gustavo Tarre, to the governing body. It was just the latest attempt to legitimize Guaido’s shadow regime by an increasingly anxious Trump administration flustered by the failure of the coup it set into motion this January 5. Tellingly, when I pressed the US ambassador to the OAS, Carlos Trujillo, to specify what gave the council legal authority to recognize Gustavo Tarre as Venezuela’s new representative, he was unable to offer a coherent explanation.

OAS Requests Info On Assange’s Asylum Conditions In Ecuadorian Embassy In UK

MOSCOW (Sputnik) - The Ecuadorian Foreign Ministry said it had been asked by the Inter-American Commission on Human Rights (part of the Organization of American States), to provide the information related to the WikiLeaks founder's asylum in the Ecuadorian embassy in light of the recently filed motion asking the commission for protection. "On January 29, the Inter-American Commission on Human Rights has notified the State of Ecuador about a motion on protection measures which has been filed by the lawyers of Julian Assange. With regard to this, the commission has asked us to provide information concerning the situation in the embassy", the ministry said in a statement on Thursday.

OAS Interventionist Resolution Against Venezuela Defeated

In a new episode of U.S. Interventionism in Latin America, the Organization of American States (OAS) held Thursday a session to affirm an interventionist declaration against the constitutional government of the president of Venezuela Nicolas Maduro and in favor of the unconstitutional and illegal actions of the Venezuelan right-wing who is supporting the self-proclaimed " interim president" Juan Guaido. A total of 18 countries rejected the interventionist statement proposed by Argentina, in a meeting headed by the United States Secretary of State Mike Pompeo. The statement urged the countries members of the OAS to recognize the opposition lawmaker Juan Guaido as president, who proclaimed himself in an act that is unconstitutional and void.

Failed Regime Change In Nicaragua. OAS And Amnesty International: Killing, Torturing Sandinistas Is OK

The clearest failure in their false reporting of the conflict is the sinister, ridiculous insistence that the Nicaraguan opposition engaged principally in peaceful protest, a claim beyond absurd given the number of Sandinista and police casualties. This deliberately deceitful coverage of events in Nicaragua reflects the broad contamination of Western societies by what economist Bill Black and others call “control fraud” whereby companies, especially powerful financial companies, use superficially legitimate accounts and auditing controls deliberately to mislead investors. Such companies report inflated assets and minimal costs giving a deliberately untrue and misleading view of their company’s financial position.

Demise Of The Organization Of American States (OAS)

By William Camacoro and Frederick B. Mills for the Council of Hemispheric Affairs. Latin America - The Organization of American States (OAS), on account of its traditional subordination to North American interests, has proven to be adversarial to the Bolivarian movement towards Latin American integration and independence. This contradiction has come into full relief in the ongoing attempt by Secretary General of the OAS, Luis Almagro, to use the institution’s Democratic Charter against the administration of President Nicolas Maduro in Venezuela. This essay takes a brief look at two historic regional conferences held during the past week that reject Almagro’s interventionism and partisanship and implicitly call into question the continued viability of the OAS. An “extraordinary session” of the Permanent Council of the OAS, convened by petition[2] of the permanent missions of Argentina, Mexico, Peru, Costa Rica and the United States, was held on June 1, 2016 in Washington to consider the “project of a declaration about the situation in the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela.”

US Agenda Is To Push TPP To Split Latin American Integration

Well, I think the Summits at one level are symbolic. In fact, they are these groupings of individuals, of leaders, but there's now parallel People’s Summits as well that are taking place. So there's week-long activities. In terms of commerce, there's also a Business Summit that takes place on the site of the Summit of the Americas as well. So it's very important in terms of what the U.S. would like to propose for the region. After all, it's confronting China as a major competitor in the region. So the Summits became a way for U.S. interests, but now also for Cuban interests, for Venezuelan interests, to promote their own economies as well.

Che Guevara Murderer Attending Summit Of The Americas

According to some reports, Felix Rodriguez has arrived in Panama to attend the OAS forums. According to Yoanislandia, quoting “friends in solidarity with Cuba,” the man who murdered Ernesto “Che” Guevara, Felix Rodriguez, arrived in Panama on Tuesday to attend the Summit of the Americas forums. Rodriguez is a Cuban and an ex-CIA agent. He is also known for having participated in the Bay of Pigs invasion. The CIA also sent him to Bolivia to kill revolutionary leader Guevara in 1967. He ordered that Guevara be “shot below the neck” so that it could be “proved” that he had been “killed in combat.” On Tuesday, the official Cuban delegation to the Civil Society Forum that is happening parallel to the Summit of the Americas, denounced that various “well known” and paid “mercenaries” – professionals paid to oppose the Cuban government – were also attending the forums.
