Trump Repeatedly Interrupted In Raleigh Speech

By Kevin Zeese for Popular Resistance. On Friday, December 4th at a campaign rally in Raleigh, NC, Republican frontrunner, Donald Trump was interrupted 14 times by protesters. His speech, which lasted about 50 minutes was interrupted at five to 10 minute intervals by people shouting slogans opposing racism and facism. No one was arrested by all the protesters were escorted out of the rally by police. The Trump campaign has shown concerns about protesters by not allowing people into some of their events. In the end, Trump was interrupted 14 times and shortened his usual presentation. All the Democrats and other Republicans have also been interrupted during this campaign season at public events. Are these protests effective? They certainly do get the message out through the media that people are upset with the way a candidate is responding to an issue of concern.

‘All Lives Matter’ Is Racist – Weekend’s Trump Rally Proved It

By Dave Bry for The Guardian - As disturbing as it is to watch that video of a black protester being beaten and dragged out of a Donald Trump speech in Alabama on Saturday, you should watch it. Everybody should, if only for the clarity that it brings to aphrase that’s been hampering public discourse about racism in America for the past two years : “all lives matter”. The important part starts around the one-minute mark of the original video, when the protester is pulled up off the floor and led away by members of the event security staff and some of the more aggressive volunteers from the crowd. The man is wearing a T-shirt bearing the slogan “Black Lives Matter”.

The Man Beaten And Choked At A Donald Trump Rally Tells His Story

By Alice Ollstein for Think Progress - When activist Mercutio Southall Jr. was curled up on the ground getting kicked, punched, and choked by Donald Trump supporters at a campaign rally in Birmingham, Alabama, he thought, “I can’t die today. I’ve got shit to do. I have little kids. Fuck these people.” The single father of three, who was raised in the civil rights cradle of Selma, Alabama, told ThinkProgress that he had gone to Trump’s event with two friends in order to speak out against the frontrunner candidate’s “racist” rhetoric. “The things that he’s been saying about black people, Latino people, immigrants, refugees — we felt it was very disrespectful,” he said.

Trump Interrupted Multiple Times By Immigration Protesters

By Elliot Smilowitz for the Hill - A series of protests interrupted Republican presidential front-runner Donald Trump’s Miami campaign speech Friday night. The pro-immigration demonstrators stopped Trump three times, before being shouted down by Trump supporters and removed from the facility. Video captured by a local TV reporter in Miami shows a man who disagrees with GOP presidential candidate Donald Trump’s immigration policies being violently ejected from a Trump campaign event. In the video, an unidentified white man wearing a red polo shirt is seen pulling another man identified as a protester by the back of his shirt. When the protester falls to the ground, the man in the polo shirt then drags him along the floor towards the room’s exit. Towards the end of the video, the polo-shirted man appears to kick the protester while the protester is still lying on the ground. As this protester is being dragged out of the room, the crowd around him loudly chants “U-S-A! U-S-A!”

Trump Exposed Corruption Of The US Political System

By Mike Whitney for Counterpunch - Just think about what Trump said. He not only explained that the whole system is rigged (Baier: “And when you give, they do whatever the hell you want them to do.”…TRUMP: “You’d better believe it.”), he also said that the politicians will do whatever they’re told to do. (TRUMP: Well, …with Hillary Clinton, I said be at my wedding and she came to my wedding. You know why? She didn’t have a choice because I gave.”) Doesn’t that confirm your darkest suspicions about the way the system really works, that money talks and that elections are just a way to get the sheeple to rubber-stamp a corrupt, fraudulent system? Trump explained to 80 million dumbfounded Americans watching prime time TV, that the system is a total fraud, that the big money runs everything, and that even he thinks the system is broken.

I Confronted Donald Trump In Dubai

This May, I researched labor issues in the United Arab Emirates with a local journalist. To avoid being deported, he goes by the pseudonym Tom Blake. We interviewed construction workers building museums on Abu Dhabi's Saadiyat Island. In the richest city in the world, the workers we spoke to were little more than indentured servants. For between $150 and $300 a month, they worked 13 hours a day, six days a week. Their bosses kept their passports. They landed in the UAE owing more than a year's salary to recruiters back home. They could be deported for striking. In Pakistan, Bangladesh, India, and Nepal, they had families dependent on their wages. However brutal it was, the Gulf dream was their one shot out of poverty. They could not fuck this up. The UAE is not uniquely guilty. Migrants throughout the world, in the US as well as the UAE, do the worst work and suffer the worst state violence. While my research focused on Abu Dhabi, poor conditions are typical throughout the Gulf. Thousands of workers could die building the World Cup stadia in Qatar. Figurative blood stains the gleaming steel of Earth's tallest building, Dubai's Burj Khalifa.
