Sudan Urges London Halt UAE Arms Sales Over RSF Atrocities

Sudan has urged the UK to end arms sales to the UAE, following reports that a Dubai-backed militia accused of genocide in Darfur has been equipped with British weapons. Sudan said in a report provided to the UN Security Council that the Rapid Support Forces (RSF), an anti-government Sudanese militia, has received British small-arms targeting systems and engines for military vehicles. Reports have surfaced in recent days of RSF militiamen massacring some 2,000 civilians in El-Fasher, after taking control of the city in the Darfur region in southwest Sudan.

Four Militias Backed By Israel, Arab States Plan ‘Project New Gaza’

Israel is backing four militias as part of a project to oust Hamas and create a “new Gaza,” according to a report released by Sky News on 25 October. These armed groups – which throughout the war have been engaged in hostilities against Hamas on behalf of Israel – are currently operating along the Yellow Line of Washington’s ceasefire map, in Israeli-held territory. "We have an official project - me, [Yasser] Abu Shabab, [Rami] Khalas, and [Ashraf] al Mansi," militia leader Hossam al-Astal, a Palestinian Bedouin with links to the Palestinian Authority (PA), told Sky News. "We are all for ‘The New Gaza.’ Soon we will achieve full control of the Gaza Strip and will gather under one umbrella,” he added. According to footage which was geolocated by Sky News, the headquarters of Astal’s militia in south Gaza’s Khan Yunis lies on a military road less than 700 meters from an Israeli army outpost.

Venezuela Activates ‘Operation Independence 200’

Venezuela activated the Comprehensive Defense Steering Bodies (ODDI) of Operation Independence 200 in the country’s eastern states, including Monagas, Bolívar, and Anzoátegui, on Saturday, October 11. The minister of the Interior, Citizen Security, and Peace, Captain Diosdado Cabello, presided over an event in Monagas state to deliver equipment and resources to the militia in the communes. Operation Independence 200 was launched with the deployment of more than 1,500 people in Monagas alone, from where Captain Cabello emphasized that the nation is prepared to “confront the various threats that imperialism poses to the homeland.”
