OAS Violates Its Own Rules To Put Guaido Representative On Their Governing Body

WASHINGTON DC – On April 9th, the Organization of American States’ permanent council voted under US pressure to adopt a resolution installing Venezuelan opposition leader Juan Guaido’s representative, Gustavo Tarre, to the governing body. It was just the latest attempt to legitimize Guaido’s shadow regime by an increasingly anxious Trump administration flustered by the failure of the coup it set into motion this January 5. Tellingly, when I pressed the US ambassador to the OAS, Carlos Trujillo, to specify what gave the council legal authority to recognize Gustavo Tarre as Venezuela’s new representative, he was unable to offer a coherent explanation.

U.S Admits It Cannot Attack Venezuela – CONFIRMED S-300 Anti-Air Systems

WASHINGTON – Mar 29, 2019 @ 21:20 – The U.S State Department special operator for Venezuela, Elliot Abrams, has revealed that Venezuela is already in possession numerous highly effective S-300 (Antey 2500 version) systems. This makes a military campaign against Venezuela highly unlikely, given the high-importance of air-cover for any boots on the ground, and the high effectiveness of the S-300 system. It also explains the decision of OAS member states Columbia and Brazil not to resort to military intervention against the Bolivarian Republic...

Venezuela is home to the largest oil deposits in the world, which makes the political stakes involved much higher than they would be otherwise. Venezuelan opposition leader Juan Guaidó has announced that April 6 will kick off a nationwide "tactical actions" as part of the so-called Operation Freedom protests, which are designed to oust President Nicolas Maduro.

New York Times Laments Stalled Venezuelan Coup

It is now over two-and-a-half months since Juan Guaidó, a barely known figure in the right-wing, US-funded Voluntad Popular party, proclaimed himself the “interim president” of Venezuela and was immediately recognized by Washington as the “legitimate” head of the country’s government. A month later, Washington, working with the right-wing government of Colombia and the US-backed right-wing Venezuelan opposition, attempted to stage a cynical provocation, sending trucks, supposedly loaded with US-supplied aid, in an attempt to crash the Venezuelan-Colombian border.

Venezuela Prepared To Defend The Revolution Against US Imperialism

While Trump is threatening Venezuela with military intervention, Venezuelans are not waiting to organize themselves to be ready to confront any threats that they may face, both from inside and outside the country. The country not only has 200,000 armed forces, but it also has a civilian People’s Militia of 2 million people who are organized, armed and trained to defend the revolution. Venezuela wants peace but will not allow the United States to dominate their country again. To make this video, Redfish got exclusive access to the People's Militia in Venezuela to hear from those prepared to defend their revolution.

Tensions over Venezuela won’t escalate into a new Caribbean Crisis or turn the country into “a second Syria,” Russia’s FM Sergey Lavrov has assured, bashing the US for treating the Western Hemisphere as its backyard. “We don’t accept the methods, with which the US is trying to improve the life of the Venezuelan people,” Lavrov said in an interview with Moskovsky Komsomolets newspaper. Washington has outright backed opposition leader, Juan Guaido, who declared himself interim president of Venezuela in January.

Venezuela: Why Is Maduro Still In Power?

For many, it is impossible to understand how, despite presiding over the country’s worst economic crisis and facing such intense international and domestic opposition, Maduro remains in the presidential palace. The answer lies in the enduring strength of Chavismo, a political movement of the working classes that, despite predating former president Hugo Chávez, continues to take his name and political project as its own. The refusal by Maduro’s opponents, inside and outside Venezuela, to acknowledge its existence also goes a long way to explaining why they have remained in opposition for more than two decades.

How Many And Which Laws Has Juan Guaidó Violated In Venezuela?

More than 60 days have passed since Juan Guaidó proclaimed himself interim president of Venezuela in a public square in the city of Caracas. In the stretch that separates us from that moment until today, the South American country has gone through attempts to invade its border, the theft of more than 35,000 million dollars of its assets and assets abroad, electrical sabotages, plots for initiate terrorist actions in the country, just to cite some examples of what the Maduro government has called a "multidimensional war" against the Bolivarian nation.

Why Is Maduro’s Presidency Unlawful?

Has this question ever been made by those who try and convince us that Nicolas Maduro is a dictator, a usurper and that his 2019-2025 term as president is unlawful? Or are they just repeating what someone else is saying? The 12 countries gathered in the Lima Group started to make this opinion a trend. They issued a statement that reads: “…the electoral process carried out in Venezuela on May 20, 2018 is unlawful since not all Venezuelan political actors participated in it, independent international observers were not present and it did not have the necessary international guarantees and standards to be a free, fair and transparent process.”

US Is Manufacturing A Crisis In Venezuela So That There Is Chaos And ‘Needed’ Intervention

March 30, 2019 "Information Clearing House" -  Venezuela is America's current target for mass destabilization in the hope of installing a puppet government. America has for years been waging an economic war against Venezuela, including debilitating sanctions which have dramatically affected the state's ability to purchase medicines, and even mundane replacement parts needed in buses, ambulances, etc. Alongside the economic war there has been a steady propaganda war, but in recent months, the propaganda has escalated dramatically, from corporate media to US political figures.

Ricardo Hausmann’s “Morning After” For Venezuela: The Neoliberal Brain Behind Juan Guaido’s Economic Agenda

While online audiences know YouTube comedian Joanna Hausmann from her videos making the case for regime change, her economist father has flown below the radar. His record holds the key to understanding what the U.S. wants in Venezuela. If you’ve followed Venezuela-related news on social media, you’ve undoubtedly stumbled across a video released by comedian Joanna Hausmann in which she promises to tell you, “What’s Happening in Venezuela: Just the Facts.” Despite a title designed to instill confidence in the uninformed viewer, upon closer examination the “facts” presented in Hausman’s video hardly stand the test of reality.

Why Was Guaido Barred from Holding Public Office for 15 Years?

The imposter fraud Guaido is having a difficult time organizing people to support his coup against President Maduro. Our colleague, Eva K. Bartlett, who joined us on a recent peace delegation in Venezuela and has remained behind to continue to report on activities there. She has been trying to go to a Guaido opposition protest and yesterday went to several locations where they were supposed to take place. She was unable to find any opposition of significance and no Guaido. Venezuela's Comptroller General Elvis Amoroso announced Thursday that the opposition politician Juan Guaido has been barred from holding public office for 15 years over irregularities in his financial activities.

Russia Throws Down The Gauntlet To US On Venezuela

The Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova acknowledged in Moscow on Tuesday that Russian “specialists” are indeed in Venezuela within the ambit of a 2001 military-technical cooperation agreement with Caracas. Zakharova underscored that Russia’s bilateral military cooperation with Venezuela is in accordance with the latter’s constitution and has legal underpinning, which “doesn’t require any additional approval from the (opposition-controlled) National Assembly of Venezuela.”  This followed media reports that two Russian air force planes landed at Caracas on Saturday carrying Vasily Tonkoshkurov, chief of staff of the ground forces with nearly 100 military personnel and some 35 tonnes of material.

Regime Change Ramp-Up? Guaido Announces Venezuela-Wide ‘Tactical Action’ Against Maduro

US-backed Venezuelan opposition leader Juan Guaido has announced "tactical actions" by his supporters will begin next week after a nationwide protest, part of his "Operation Freedom" designed to topple President Nicolas Maduro. The ominously vague "tactical action" relies on the organization of so-called "Aid and Freedom Committees," according to a tweet from Guaido which scheduled the event for April 6. The committees, planned civilian "freedom cells" he set up across Venezuela with the help of opposition lawmakers in recent weeks...
