Israeli War Minister Threatens Gaza Freedom Flotilla

Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz said on 8 June that he has instructed the army to prevent the Gaza Freedom Flotilla vessel from reaching the besieged strip. “I have instructed the Israeli army to act to prevent the Madleen flotilla from reaching Gaza. To the anti-Semitic Greta and her friends, I say clearly: You’d better turn back – because you won’t reach Gaza,” Katz said.  “Israel will not allow anyone to break the naval blockade on Gaza, which aims to prevent Hamas from supplying weapons,” the defense minister added.  According to reports from Israel’s Broadcasting Corporation (KAN) and Channel 12, the Israeli navy is preparing to intercept the vessel, seize it, and tow it to Ashdod port.

The Hidden Story: Israeli ‘Aid’ Is Part Of Genocide Plan

Israeli tanks opened fire last Sunday on a crowd of thousands of starving Palestinians at an aid distribution center in the city of Rafah in the southern Gaza Strip. The victims had gathered in hopes of finding food for themselves and their families, following a nearly three-month total Israeli blockade of the territory. At least 31 people were killed; one Palestinian was also killed by Israeli fire the same day at another distribution site in central Gaza. On Monday, June 2, three more Palestinians lost their lives to Israeli projectiles while trying to procure food, and on Tuesday there were 27 fatalities at the aid hub in Rafah. This brought the total number of Palestinian deaths at the newly implemented hubs to more than 100 in just a week.

Next Days Critical In Worldwide Demand That Israeli Genocide Must End

Within 48 hours, 12 brave souls in the Madleen, Flotilla Steering Committee members Thiago Avila – Brazil and Yasemin Acar – Germany;  Rima Hassan – French-Palestinian Member of European Parliament, Dr. Baptiste Andre – France, Omar Faiad – France; Al Jazeera Mubasher correspondent, Pascal Maurieras – France, Reva Viard – France, Yanis Mhamdi – France;  Suayb Ordu – Turkiye; Sergio Toribio – Spain; Greta Thunberg – Swedish climate activist; Marco van Rennes – The Netherlands. will carry the solidarity of citizens of the world to those in Gaza and West Bank for the ending of the genocide and ethnic cleansing. Within 48 hours, the 12 volunteers on the Madleen will most probably be stopped in international waters, arrested, taken against their wills, to a place they do not want to go, imprisoned and then deported…from Israel.

The Freedom Flotilla: Bravely Breaking The Siege Against Gaza

Many people, armed only with moral and political convictions, would be too intimidated to confront an army or navy directly. But not all. Twelve nonviolent human-rights activists with the international Freedom Flotilla Coalition (FFC) are currently sailing a small boat, the Madleen, to Gaza. They hope to create a humanitarian sea corridor through Israel’s illegal blockade. If all goes well, they should arrive this weekend, with “baby formula, flour, rice, diapers, women’s sanitary products, water desalination kits, medical supplies, crutches, and children’s prosthetics.” They know the danger.

Gaza Flotilla Ship Madleen Begins Its Voyage To Gaza

The Gaza Flotilla sailboat Madleen set off from Catania, Sicily, Italy on June 1, 2025 for a 7-day voyage to Gaza to break the 40-year illegal Israeli naval blockade of Gaza and now to stop the 600 day genocide of Palestinians in Gaza. The Madleen and her 12-person crew and participants departed Catania, Sicily, Italy about 4pm Central European Summer Time on Sunday, June 1, 2025 following four very successful community events in Catania, each event having several hundred members of the local community attending. The Madleen is named after Gaza’s first and only fisherwoman in 2014. The ship is a symbol of the unyielding spirit of Palestinian resilience and the growing global resistance to Israel’s use of collective punishment and deliberate starvation policies.

Global Coalition Of 32 Countries To March Into Gaza On Foot

In an unprecedented move, a coalition of trade unions, human rights groups, and solidarity movements from over 32 countries has launched the “Global March to Gaza”, aiming to enter the besieged Strip on foot. The initiative responds to the dire humanitarian crisis in Gaza, where a nearly 20-month Israeli siege has left over two million Palestinians on the brink of famine. Saif Abu Kishk, president of the International Coalition Against Israeli Occupation, stated the march aims to stop the genocide being carried out by the Israeli occupation forces (IOF), deliver immediate humanitarian aid, and pressure for the total lifting of the blockade.

Veterans Launch 40-Day Fast To Protest Israel’s Starvation Of Gaza

As the death toll of Palestinians continues to rise and more than a half a million people in Gaza are on the brink of famine, U.S.-based Veterans For Peace and several allied organizations have launched a 40-day “Fast for Gaza.” From May 22 to June 30, 600 people in the U.S. and abroad are fasting and demanding full humanitarian aid to Gaza under UN authority and an end to U.S. weapons shipments to Israel. Mary Kelly Gardner, a teacher from Santa Cruz, California, told Truthout she joined the fast in memory of her late father, a service member in Vietnam who “staunchly opposed U.S. militarism.” He opposed “the so-called ‘war on terror’ and ongoing U.S. violence against Middle Eastern countries,” she said.

Reports Of Killings, Abductions, And Missing Persons At US-Run Aid Center

Muhammad Imad Abdel Hadi traveled from Khan Younis to Rafah on May 27 to obtain food after hearing that the American and Israeli-backed Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF) was distributing aid in the Tal al-Sultan area. Amid the chaos that erupted at the distribution point, starving Palestinians desperate for food stormed the site and forced the American mercenaries manning it to retreat. Muhammad was one of the people who managed to secure a food parcel for his family. He was on his way back with the joyful news when the Israeli army killed him before he could deliver it. Muhammad’s mother, Rehab Abdel Hadi, dressed in black, now carries her son’s coffin at Nasser Hospital in Khan Younis and walks in his funeral procession.

15 Years Ago I Was On A Gaza Flotilla Mission That Ended In 10 Dead And 50 Wounded By Israeli Commandos

Fifteen years ago, in May 2010, I was one of approximately 700 persons that sailed on 7 unarmed civilian ships to break the Israeli naval blockade of Gaza and bring needed food, medicines and materials to Palestinians in Gaza who were suffering under the brutal, inhumane policies enacted by the Israeli government, which included a naval, land and air blockade of Gaza. These policies included “putting Palestinians on a diet” by reducing the caloric intake of persons living in Gaza by allowing a much reduce number of trucks carrying food into Gaza.  I don’t think 15 years ago, we could have predicted the cruelty of the Israeli government as it now conducts the genocide of Palestinians in Gaza and the ethnic cleansing of Palestinians living in the West Bank.

Starving Palestinians Storm US Aid Facility In Gaza

Palestinians clamoured for aid and gunfire rang out in chaotic scenes, as a controversial US-Israeli aid distribution scheme turned to shambles. Journalists in the besiged Gaza Strip said hungry and beleagured residents forced to stand outside a facility holding aid rushed inside because of delays conducting detailed security checks on recepients. According to Israeli army sources cited by Israeli media, Americans affiliated with the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation had to be rescued once they lost control of the facility. The Israeli military denied firing on the crowds but gunfire was heard at the scene, possibly as a result of warning shots fired by American mercenaries securing the facility.

Veterans, Allies Fast For Gaza: ‘We Cannot Normalize Genocide’

On May 22, veterans and their allies launched a 40-day Fast for Gaza with two core demands: provide humanitarian supplies to Palestinians and stop sending weapons to the illegal state of Israel. A core group of fasters is holding a daily vigil in front of the US mission to the United Nations in New York City. They are joined by more than 400 solidarity fasters. Clearing the FOG speaks with two of the fasters and organizers, Kathy Kelly, board president of World Beyond War, and Mike Ferner, former national director of Veterans for Peace, about the fast, their experiences with supporting those who are targeted by wars, and the importance of continuing to oppose the genocide of Palestinians. They encourage people to join the fast however they are able. Get more information and sign up at FOSNA.org/2025gazafast.

CEO Of US-Israeli Aid Scheme Announces Resignation

Jake Wood, the executive director of the controversial Israeli-led aid distribution plan for Gaza, announced his resignation on 26 May due to the impossibility of implementing the initiative without violating “humanitarian principles of humanity.” Wood stressed that upon assuming his role, the plan was still a “loose constellation of various ideas and concepts” which he sought to establish “as a truly independent humanitarian entity.” “I am proud of the work I oversaw, including developing a pragmatic plan that could feed hungry people, address security concerns about diversion, and complement the work of longstanding NGOs in Gaza,” the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF) director added.

Europe Is Finally Taking Action For Palestine, But It’s Too Little, Too Late

On Wednesday, Israeli forces in the West Bank opened fire in the direction of a delegation of European, Arab, and Asian diplomats. In yet another mark of Israeli hubris, the Israeli military said it “regrets the inconvenience.” The timing of this incident is not coincidental. Earlier this week, the European Union, many of its member states, and other Western countries issued statements and took steps that appeared to finally represent concrete actions to pressure Israel to change its behavior in Gaza and the West Bank. The question is whether that is really what happened. It started with a letter from a coalition of states that fund international humanitarian efforts.

Britain, France, and Canada Threaten Israel If Gaza War Is Not Halted

Britain, France and Canada issued a statement on Monday, demanding that the Israeli government of Benjamin Netanyahu cease its military campaign against the people of Gaza and halt its months-long blockade of food and medical aid, which has left the Strip on the verge of widespread famine. The three threatened Tel Aviv with “concrete steps” should it fail to do as they insist. The three NATO powers went further than a 22-nation petition to Israel to halt its food and aid blockade issued on Monday, which they also signed. The other 19 countries apparently declined to go so far as to demand an end to the war, as well.

Wall Street, Zionists, And Ex-CIA Operatives Take Over Gaza Relief

With over half a million people in Gaza on the brink of starvation and aid groups warning of an “imminent famine,” Israel has agreed to allow a token number of relief trucks into the besieged enclave. But what’s entering Gaza now isn’t humanitarian aid, it’s a Trojan horse. A new, U.S.-backed private aid scheme staffed by former CIA operatives, ex-Marines, and mercenaries tied to Israeli intelligence and Wall Street elites has been deployed in Gaza under the guise of relief. The project is led by a shady NGO registered in Switzerland just months ago, and human rights groups are calling it what it is: a hostile corporate takeover of the aid sector, designed to militarize relief, displace civilians, and profit from Gaza’s agony.
