Maccabi’s Birmingham Match Met With Protests

Protests took place in Birmingham on Thursday, November 6 as local football club Aston Villa faced Israel’s Maccabi Tel Aviv. The match took place after authorities banned visiting supporters over security concerns. Palestine solidarity groups and anti-racist organizations called for the match to be fully canceled, citing the violent record of Maccabi supporters and the club’s support for Israel’s genocide in Gaza. “Allowing football clubs from a state committing genocide and implementing apartheid to compete in international competitions normalizes its atrocities, and sends the signal that there are no consequences for them,” the Palestine Solidarity Campaign (PSC) stated ahead of the match.

Gaza Surgeon: Starmer ‘Has Blood On His Hands’

The Israeli genocide against Gaza continues. And even as they officially recognize the State of Palestine, many Western countries still support the slaughter. Chief among these is the United Kingdom. While Keir Starmer’s government announced it would now formally recognize Palestine, it continues to supply Israel with weapons and intelligence support. Joining us on the MintCast today for the second time is British-Iraqi surgeon, Dr. Mohammed Tahir. Dr. Tahir spent nearly seven months working at some of the busiest hospitals in Gaza, and did not hold back when asked about his opinion on Starmer and his actions

What Fresh Hell Is This?

Friday saw two announcements: Keir Starmer is to introduce compulsory digital ID cards in the U.K., and Tony Blair was put forward by the White House to be the colonial administrator of Gaza for five years. The political economy of the world appears locked in a vertiginous downward spiral. You don’t have to scratch very hard to find that Tony Blair’s hand is also behind the compulsory ID plan. He has been pushing it for nearly thirty years, and now it comes with added links to Larry Ellison, Palantir and Israel. The government will be able to garner and centralise knowledge of everything about you.

Activists Target Starmer’s Back Yard Over Toxic Fossil Fuel Project

On Saturday 6 September, activists protested against Rosebank, the UK’s largest untapped oil field. Describing it as “toxic”, Fossil Free London (FFL) have warned that even ignoring the climate concerns, drilling Rosebank would be financially detrimental to UK citizens. They’ve also highlighted the links Fossil Free London drew attention to the protest in the London Borough of Camden, which is where you find Starmer’s constituency of Holborn and St Pancras. The group said in a press release: The action in Camden saw over a hundred activists gather outside council buildings in Sir Keir Starmer’s constituency with a giant melting planet earth ice-cream, as part of a coordinated effort across the country to send a clear message to the Prime Minister: pull the plug on the toxic Rosebank field for good.

Gaza Tribunal Launches To Expose Britain’s Role In Genocide

The Gaza Tribunal was launched in London on September 4, 2025, to expose the British government’s role in Israeli war crimes in the Gaza Strip. It follows a bill presented earlier this year by independent MP Jeremy Corbyn, calling for a formal inquiry but was ultimately blocked by Keir Starmer’s government in July. Since October 2023, numerous reports have documented British complicity in the genocide in Gaza. They range from warnings over ongoing exports of F-35 jet parts used to bomb schools and hospitals, to accounts of intelligence shared with the Israeli occupation that facilitated attacks on civilian infrastructure. These revelations have sparked regular mobilizations, with thousands demanding accountability from the government and an end to the genocide.

Trump’s Embrace Of Dystopian Palantir Spying Tool Sends Stock Soaring

During an end-of-year investor call this February, Palantir co-founder and militant Zionist Alex Karp bragged that his company was making a financial killing by enabling mass murder. “Palantir is here to disrupt and make the institutions we partner with the very best in the world and, when it’s necessary, to scare enemies,” he stated, adding: “And on occasion, kill them.” On this front, Karp claimed Palantir was “crushing it,” and he professed to be “super-proud of the role we play, especially in places we can’t talk about.” Karp went on to predict social “disruption” ahead that would be “very good for Palantir.” “There’s a revolution.

We Demand Change Summit Charts Resistance To Labour Austerity

More than 2,000 people joined the We Demand Change summit in London on March 29, taking a stand against the anti-people agenda of Keir Starmer’s Labour Party, as well as the racism and warmongering embedded across Britain’s mainstream political landscape. Organized by groups including the Peace and Justice Project, the Stop the War Coalition, and several trade unions, the summit was described as the beginning of a national resistance-building effort, with local meetings to follow. “The government and the employers tell us that they can’t afford decent pay or afford to fund our schools and hospitals but when it comes to wars, there is a bottomless pit,” reads the summit’s statement.

Europe Fights For Relevance In Ukraine Peace Talks

European leaders—together with NATO chief Mark Rutte and Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau—met in London on Sunday to discuss further militarization and support for Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s administration following his humiliation at the hands of the US president and vice president. Trump and Vance’s treatment of Zelenskyy only deepened the perplexity that has been haunting European countries since January, when the new US administration began to chill relations towards its Atlantic allies.
