Israeli Strikes Leave 50,000 Homeless In Gaza

Since dawn on Sunday, Israeli occupation forces have killed 31 Palestinians, including aid workers, in a series of airstrikes and ground assaults across the Gaza Strip.  Local officials said that at least 50,000 people were made homeless following Israeli evacuation orders that forced residents to flee south along Rashid Al-Bahri Street. The attacks come as Israel presses ahead with its nearly two-year genocidal war on Gaza, marked by attempts to reoccupy Gaza City and forcibly displace its residents. Hospitals across the Strip reported dozens of casualties. Al-Quds Hospital confirmed seven people were killed in strikes on the Tal al-Hawa neighborhood in southern Gaza City, while 20 others were wounded by Israeli fire on Street 8. Emergency services reported four deaths in a strike on a displacement tent at Palestine Stadium, west of Gaza City.

SJSU Pro-Palestine Students Disrupt Career Fair With Silent Action

San Jose, CA – On September 10, San Jose Students for a Democratic Society alongside various other SJSU students held a silent protest outside a career fair where Lockheed Martin, notorious weapons manufacturer and supporter of the Gaza genocide, had a table. San Jose State University held the “Business, Financial Services and Logistics Job and Internship Fair” at 11 a.m. in the Student Union Ballroom. The career fair on the school’s website claims to attract over 600 students. Lockheed Martin was present at the event, intent on recruiting students to participate in what they call “defense,” which is in fact the design and manufacture of warplanes, helicopters and munitions which are used by the Israeli military to bomb and murder thousands of Palestinians a month.

Universities Worldwide Sever Ties With Israeli Academia, Netherlands To Boycott Eurovision

Universities and scholarly associations across Europe and South America have announced suspensions of cooperation with Israeli institutions, citing their role in aiding the genocide of Palestinians in Gaza, The Guardian reported on 13 September. Trinity College Dublin announced this summer that it was ending collaboration with Israeli partners. Meanwhile, the Federal University of Ceará in Brazil had already canceled a planned innovation summit with an Israeli university last year. Similar actions were announced by institutions in Norway, Belgium, and Spain. The University of Amsterdam confirmed it was terminating its student exchange with the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. The European Association of Social Anthropologists also said it would refuse cooperation with Israeli bodies and called on its members to follow the same path.

Global Sumud Flotilla Vows To Continue Mission Despite Attacks

Activists aboard the Global Sumud Flotilla vow to continue their mission to set sail to Gaza, insisting nothing will stop them from breaking Israel’s blockade and bringing aid to Gaza. Members of the Flotilla have reported two suspected drone attacks on their boats while docked in Tunisian waters. Still, the first wave of Flotilla ships departed the Sidi Bou Said port in Tunisia where they were stationed on the night of September 11, and the rest are set to depart on September 12. “We know who has interest in stopping these flotillas, in stopping this mission to Gaza,” Mariana Mortágua, a member of the Portuguese Parliament who joined the Global Sumud Flotilla, told Democracy Now!, indicating that Israel had a role in the attacks on the ships.

Somalia Resistance Targets US AFRICOM Base Over Gaza Genocide

The Somalia resistance group Al-Shabaab issued a statement on Sept. 4 claiming responsibility for an attack on U.S. military forces in retaliation for U.S. support for Israel in the ongoing genocidal war in Gaza. The U.S. forces were at a base located near Kismayo Airport in southern Somalia. Blogger Muhammad Od reported in a You Tube video on Sept. 5: “According to a statement by the movement, quoted in the local Baidoa Online website, the operation targeted the ‘American camp’ in response to the war in Gaza, and resulted in ‘heavy losses among U.S. soldiers and the destruction of military vehicles.’” Od noted that in its X account, AFRICOM acknowledged the attack but claimed it was “indirect” with no serious damage.

Anti-Islam US Biker Gang In Charge Of ‘Security’ For Gaza Humanitarian Foundation

The private security firm hired to secure Gaza aid distribution sites, where Israeli soldiers have shot over one thousand Palestinians as they seek food, employs dozens of members of an explicitly anti-Islam US motorcycle gang, BBC reported on 11 September. A BBC investigation identified at least 10 members of the Infidels Motorcycle Club (Infidels MC) working for UG Solutions (UG), which provides security at the deadly Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF) aid sites in Gaza. At least seven members of Infidels MC work in senior positions with UG in Gaza. Infidels MC was formed in 2006 by US soldiers who fought in Iraq during and after the 2003 invasion. They are known for having tattoos that say “kafir” or “infidel” in Arabic.

Understanding Israel’s Attack On Qatar; What It Means For The Region

Israel attacked the Qatari capital of Doha on Tuesday, killing six people. The target was a gathering of Hamas’ leadership who were meeting to consider the latest proposal from the United States for an end to the genocide and the release of the remaining Israeli hostages being held in Gaza. There is a lot to unpack in this attack. While there is neither evidence nor reason to believe the U.S. was directly involved, Washington’s claim that they were taken completely by surprise by the attack seems like only part of the story in light of some of President Donald Trump’s statements. Qatar, meanwhile, initially said it was suspending its role as mediator for talks between Israel, the U.S., and Hamas, but soon after said it would continue in that role, although its efforts are obviously hampered by the Israeli attack.

Health Workers’ Solidarity With Palestine Practiced On The Ground

In the coming days, dozens of civilian ships will depart from Tunisia, Spain, and Italy as part of the Global Sumud Flotilla – the largest effort yet to break Israel’s illegal blockade of Gaza. On board will be several health activists from the People’s Health Movement (PHM). Among them is Moroccan pharmacist and human rights defender Aziz Rhali. In this interview, physician Juliette Mattijsen, member of PHM Europe’s coordinating group and researcher on planetary health education, speaks with Rhali about his path in the global health movement and his commitment to supporting Palestinian health workers during the genocide.

From Royal Air Force Fighter Pilot To Gaza Blockade Buster

A British veteran has joined the largest aid flotilla to Gaza in history and is calling on the Royal Air Force (RAF) to end its intelligence support to Israel. Malcolm Ducker, who served as a fighter pilot in the RAF between 1972 and 1979, is sailing with a flotilla of over 50 boats loaded with aid for Gaza. The initiative is being led by the Global Sumud Flotilla (GSF), a “coalition of everyday people… who believe in human dignity and the power of nonviolent action.” The first boats departed from Spanish ports on Sunday but were briefly delayed due to bad weather. More ships are set to join the flotilla in Tunisia in the coming days before arriving in Gaza in mid-September.

Gaza Flotilla In Tunis Attacked By Explosives Delivered By Drones

For the second time in three months, drones carrying explosives have attacked boats in the Gaza flotillas. I was in Malta when the “Conscience” ship was attacked by drones carrying explosives and I am now in Tunis where the “Familia” ship was attacked. Several hours ago in the evening of September 8, an explosive dropped from a drone hit “Familia, ”the lead ship of the Global Sumud Flotilla (GSF) anchored in national Tunisian waters off Port    causing a fire on the bow of the ship.  There were 5 people onboard as the crew and security team. No one was injured. Five months previously, on May 1, 2025, multiple drones dropped explosives on the “Conscience” flotilla ship in international waters off Malta causing such extensive damage to the bow of the ship that it became inoperative.

‘We Will Not Be Silent’: Hearing Stilled Voices Of The Gaza Genocide

In his last minutes of freedom before the Israeli army arrested him, Dr. Hussam Abu Safiya, clad in a medic’s white coat, walked alone toward two Israeli tanks. His captors awaited him amid the rubble of Gaza’s Kamal Adwan hospital. An artist swiftly created a dramatic poster showing Dr. Safiya striding through the ruins of the hospital he directed. The artist, David Solnit, recently updated the poster’s caption. It now reads: Free Dr. Abu Safiya, Eight months in prison Dec. 27, 2024 – August 27, 2025. Dr. Safiya had already endured agonizing losses at the Kamal Adwan hospital. In late October 2024, an Israeli drone attack killed his son, also a doctor.

Global Sumud Flotilla Advances Towards Tunisia Under ‘Harassment’ Of Surveillance Drones

The Global Sumud Flotilla is advancing towards Gaza and is already sailing towards Tunisia, divided into two large groups. Both expeditions will meet in Tunisia at the end of the week, when they will be joined by another twenty boats in what the organizers consider to be the “largest humanitarian mission in solidarity with Palestine.” Technical problems and bad weather have significantly delayed the flotilla’s schedule, which set sail on August 31 from Barcelona and has so far only been able to cover a handful of nautical miles. Harsh sea conditions forced several boats to be repaired, and after a particularly violent storm on Monday, September 1, the expedition was divided between the ports of Mahón (Menorca) and Barcelona.

Gaza Aid Whistleblower Arrested For Interrupting Senate Hearing

Two United States military veterans, including a Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF) whistleblower, were arrested for interrupting a Senate Foreign Affairs Committee hearing. They said “the U.S. government is complicit” in the Israeli government’s genocide in Gaza and were quickly removed by U.S. Capitol police. GHF whistleblower Anthony Aguilar stood up. “You have an obligation to the Constitution of the United States.” Former U.S. Army intelligence analyst Josephine Guilbeau also spoke up. “Israel is ethnically cleansing Gaza. They’re building a concentration camp!” Senate Foreign Affairs Committee Chairman James Risch declared, “Off to jail,” and when he hear Guilbeau, “Someone else is anxious to go to jail.”

Washington Sanctions Palestinian Rights Groups For Aiding ICC

The US has imposed sanctions on three Palestinian human rights organizations that previously petitioned the International Criminal Court (ICC) to investigate Israel for war crimes in Gaza. “Today, the Trump Administration is sanctioning three NGOs – Al Haq, Al Mezan, and the Palestinian Centre for Human Rights – for assisting in the ICC's illegitimate actions against Israel. The United States will continue to protect our own sovereignty and the sovereignty of our allies from the ICC's overreach,” US Secretary of State Marco Rubio wrote on Thursday evening on X. The announcement first appeared as a notice on the US Treasury Department's website on Thursday. In November 2023, the organizations requested that the ICC investigate Israel for war crimes in response to its actions in Gaza, including carrying out airstrikes on heavily populated civilian areas, imposing a complete siege to cut off food, water, and electricity to the civilian population, and causing the mass displacement of residents.

Gaza Tribunal Launches To Expose Britain’s Role In Genocide

The Gaza Tribunal was launched in London on September 4, 2025, to expose the British government’s role in Israeli war crimes in the Gaza Strip. It follows a bill presented earlier this year by independent MP Jeremy Corbyn, calling for a formal inquiry but was ultimately blocked by Keir Starmer’s government in July. Since October 2023, numerous reports have documented British complicity in the genocide in Gaza. They range from warnings over ongoing exports of F-35 jet parts used to bomb schools and hospitals, to accounts of intelligence shared with the Israeli occupation that facilitated attacks on civilian infrastructure. These revelations have sparked regular mobilizations, with thousands demanding accountability from the government and an end to the genocide.
