‘Operation Al-Aqsa Flood’ Day 262: Netanyahu Refuses To End The War

As Benjamin Netanyahu tells Israeli TV he is prepared to continue the war in Gaza indefinitely, Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant visits Washington D.C. to meet U.S. officials amid a possible all-out war with Lebanon.

Red Line Protest For Gaza At White House, More Support For Palestine

Washington DC—Thousands surrounded the White House Saturday with a ‘people’s red line’ message to the Biden administration to stop funding and supporting Israel’s war on Gaza. At midday, hundreds unfurled and circled the White House with a 2 mile long red banner with names of thousands of Palestinians slain by Israeli military bombing in Gaza. Over 200 groups joined in demanding an immediate cease-fire in Gaza, withdrawal of military forces, and a pathway towards Palestinian Statehood. The Israeli military is now in its 9th month of a sustained military assault and occupation of Gaza which began on October 7, 2023 and has leveled over 80% of its structures, killed nearly 40,000 women and children, and rendered Gaza virtually unlivable.

Activists Form ‘Red Line’ Around White House In Gaza Protest

Tens of thousands of people from across the US gathered near the White House on Saturday to demand an end to US support for Israel's war in Gaza, highlighting US President Joe Biden's stated position of an invasion of Rafah being a red line. In response to Israel's recent invasion of Rafah, what many see as Biden not holding firm on his word, the demonstrators made a two-mile-long human "red line" around the White House, wearing red shirts and holding a red banner that they slowly unfurled from the White House gate, down Constitution Avenue and back around to the front entrance.

Following ICJ And ICC Actions, Sanctions And Arms Embargo Are Crucial Next Steps

Seven months into its genocidal campaign, Israel’s assault on Rafah led the International Court of Justice (ICJ) to issue a preliminary order on May 24. The court called on Israel to “Immediately halt its military offensive, and any other action in the Rafah Governorate, which may inflict on the Palestinian group in Gaza conditions of life that could bring about its physical destruction in whole or in part.” It also ordered Israel to keep the Rafah crossing open and permit United Nations investigative commissions to enter Gaza and investigate allegations of genocide. In addition, mounting Israeli atrocities propelled Karim Khan, chief prosecutor of the International Criminal Court (ICC), to seek arrest warrants on May 20 against top Israeli officials.

Mother Nature Makes Mockery Of US Military’s $320 Million Pier In Gaza

Well, I told you so.  Mother Nature did to the U.S. military’s $320 million Rube Goldberg pier exactly what I and others predicted.  Mother Nature’s 3-foot waves and seasonal winds caused the pier to break apart sending sections of the pier and two boats used to keep the pier in place onto beaches in Gaza and two boats onto an Israeli beach eight miles north of Gaza near Ashkelon. A section of the pier with containers and a small military truck on it floated past a popular beach in Israel and was met with laughter from Israeli beachgoers.  U.S. Boots on Gaza Sand On May 28, the Pentagon said despite U.S. military orders that no U.S. boots would be on the ground in Gaza, the U.S. soldiers who had been stuck on the Army boats beached in Gaza had to set foot in Gaza to get off the marooned boats.

Tens Of Thousands To Surround White House On June 8

Tens of thousands of people will are mobilizing to surround the White House on June 8 in protest of Biden’s complicity in the Israeli genocide in Gaza, principally the brutal invasion of Rafah, which takes more and more Palestinian lives each day. Biden had claimed in the past that the invasion of Rafah by Israel would be a red line, and even threatened to withhold weapons shipments (while actually halting some shipments of bombs) over the threat of invasion. “I made it clear that if they go into Rafah—they haven’t gone in Rafah yet—if they go into Rafah, I’m not supplying the weapons that have been used historically to deal with Rafah, to deal with the cities—that deal with that problem,” Biden said during a CNN interview on May 8.

‘Operation Al-Aqsa Flood’ Day 237: Invasion Of Rafah And Northern Gaza

The Gaza-based Palestinian health ministry announced that the remaining hospitals in the Gaza Strip received 240 slain Palestinians in Israeli airstrikes since Monday, May 27, while 1134 others arrived wounded. Meanwhile, local media sources reported that in the past 24 hours, Israeli strikes killed seven Palestinians in strikes on a shelter for displaced families in Gaza City. Reports also indicated that Israeli troops detonated several houses in the Sheikh Zayed neighborhood in the city. Israeli forces also targeted the areas of Beit Lahia, Zeitoun, Beit Hanoun, and Jabalia with drone strikes and shelling. Israeli ground troops partially withdrew from Jabalia after a several-week-long invasion.

Call To Action: The ICSGP Denounces Israel’s Brutal Attacks On Rafah

The International Coalition to Stop Genocide in Palestine (ICSGP) abhors the brutal slaughter in recent days by the Israeli Occupation Forces of displaced Palestinians who had been living in tents in Rafah. This is a flagrant violation of the International Court of Justice’s May 24 order, at the request of South Africa, that Israel cease its operations there. Coming after nearly eight months of genocidal attacks, including induced famine, these massacres leave no room for doubt about Israel’s intent to wipe out the population of Gaza, even as it has intensified genocidal attacks in the West Bank.

‘Operation Al-Aqsa Flood’ Day 234: Israel Bombs Displaced Palestinians

Israeli forces killed at least 40 Palestinians in multiple airstrikes that targeted a makeshift tent camp of displaced Palestinians in the northwestern part of Rafah. The bombed area is part of the Israeli-designated “humanitarian safe zone,” where the Israeli army ordered Palestinians to flee on May 6 as it began its ground invasion of the southern Gaza Strip city. The tent camp is adjacent to an UNRWA warehouse. Local media sources said that some eight Israeli missiles fell on the crowded camp after midnight, killing and wounding dozens of people and causing fires to spread across the camp. The Palestinian civil defense said its teams had to use all the remaining fire trucks in the Rafah governorate to put down the fires, while the Palestinian Red Crescent Society spokesperson, Nibal Farsakh, said that the PRCS teams rescued people with severe burns and wounds who “where trapped in the flames” for a long time before being rescued.

We Will Not Forgive Or Forget The Massacre In Rafah

We know that it is our government in the U.S. that is sending the bombs that murdered Palestinians taking refuge in tents. The Biden administration is responsible. Just a few days ago, he said there was no genocide in Palestine. To deny this is a genocide is to make that word devoid of all meaning. To deny this is a genocide is to deny the humanity of the tens of thousands of people murdered since October. And that is precisely what Zionism does; it is a racist ideology that denies the humanity of the Palestinian people. The growing Far Right in Israel, the center of global fascism, celebrates the murder of Palestinian children.

$320 Million US Pier Collapses In Gaza, Drifts To Ashdod

Part of the American naval pier in Gaza collapsed on Saturday as waves carried it toward Ashdod, according to Israeli media. In further detail, Israeli Channel 12 reported that strong waves swept away a section of the American floating pier off the coast of the Gaza Strip, heading towards the shores of Ashdod. The Israeli navy reportedly retrieved and reattached the section, as per the report. The US floating pier in the Mediterranean Sea has faced significant challenges since its creation on May 15, questioning its efficiency in alleviating the humanitarian crisis in the besieged Palestinian enclave.

People’s Conference For Palestine Closes With A Pledge To Mobilize

After three days of idea exchange and relationship building, the People’s Conference for Palestine ended with a bold call to mobilize: surround the White House on June 8 in protest of Israel’s ongoing offensive against Rafah.  “Biden said he had a red line, remember the red line? He said, if Netanyahu dares go into Rafah, that’s a red line, we the United States, will stop sending weapons to Israel,” said Brian Becker, executive director of the ANSWER Coalition, said during the plenary session entitled “How Do Movements Achieve Transformation?”  “Israel went ahead and invaded Rafah, and what did Biden do? He continued to send the bombs and the missiles to carry out the massacre in Rafah and throughout Gaza."

Israel Responds To ICJ Ruling To Halt Rafah Assault By Massacring Dozens

Israel escalated its attacks on civilians in Gaza on 24 May in response to the International Court of Justice (ICJ) ruling ordering Israel to cease its military operation in the southern Gaza city of Rafah. Friday's ruling by the ICJ came as part of an ongoing case to determine if Israel is committing genocide in Gaza. The ruling is a provisional measure to halt Israeli military action in response to its ongoing attack on Rafah, which has killed hundreds of Palestinians and displaced hundreds of thousands who had already been displaced by Israeli bombing in Gaza's north. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu denied the allegations in the case brought by South Africa that Israel was carrying out genocide in Gaza as "false, outrageous and morally repugnant."

International Court Of Justice Orders Israel To Halt Rafah Assault

The International Court of Justice (ICJ) ordered Israel on 24 May to halt its military offensive in Rafah as part of the ongoing genocide case filed by South Africa earlier this year. “[Israel must] immediately halt its military offensive, and any other action in the Rafah Governorate, which may inflict on the Palestinian group in Gaza conditions of life that could bring about its physical destruction in whole or in part,”  ICJ President Nawaf Salam said. The top UN court said that the current situation entails further risks of “irreparable damage” to the rights of Palestinians in Gaza and that conditions have been met for new emergency measures.

‘Operation Al-Aqsa Flood’ Day 227: ICC Seeks Warrants For Netanyahu, Galant

Chief prosecutor of the International Criminal Court Karim Khan told CNN’s Christiane Amanpour in an interview on Monday, May 20, that the ICC would be seeking arrest warrants for Israeli leaders and Hamas officials on charges of “war crimes” and “crimes against humanity” on October 7 and during the war on Gaza. The ICC prosecutor told Amanpour that the application for the arrest warrants, if granted by the ICC’s panel of judges, included Hamas’s leader in Gaza Yahya Sinwar, Hamas politburo chief Ismail Haniyeh, Qassam Brigades commander Muhammad al-Deif, and most notably, Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu and Israeli war minister Yoav Gallant.
