Wars and Militarism

War, Resistance, And The Reunification Of Nation And State In Iran

Something is Happening in Iran. People are not only supporting the war, but they are getting closer to the state. The concept of “nation” has undergone a shift. In recent days, I have seen things I never could have imagined. One of the most powerful images was a viral video: A young woman in Tehran, without hijab, wearing a koufiyeh, singing a deeply patriotic song under Azadi Tower, the symbolic heart of Tehran. This was not just a moment of performative nationalism; it was a statement, a contradiction of the narrative that pits the Iranian people against their state. Social media, once a battleground of polarizing slogans, has become a platform for national unity.

The US-Israeli War On Iran Undergirds The Need For A Multipolar World

On June 12, just days before a scheduled negotiations session, the illegal state of Israel attacked Iran, killing top military leaders and scientists. Iran responded the next day by returning the attack on Israel, and there have been daily attacks between the two countries since then. On June 21, the United States, which had been providing support to Israel, attacked three nuclear facilities in Iran. Clearing the FOG speaks with Dr. Foad Izadi from the University of Tehran about the long history of US and Israeli aggression on Iran, how the current war is impacting the country and why this conflict is pivotal to the end of US/Western hegemony and the rise of a multipolar world.

War On Iran Is Fight For US Unipolar Control Of World

Opponents of the war with Iran say that the war is not in American interests, seeing that Iran does not pose any visible threat to the United States. This appeal to reason misses the neoconservative logic that has guided U.S. foreign policy for more than a half century, and which is now threatening to engulf the Middle East in the most violent war since Korea. That logic is so aggressive, so repugnant to most people, so much in violation of the basic principles of international law, the United Nations, and the U.S. Constitution, that there is an understandable shyness in the authors of this strategy to spell out what is at stake.

Israel Seeks ‘Quick End’ To War; Heavy Iranian Attacks Pummel Major Cities

Israel is signaling an interest in concluding its war with Iran in the near future, according to Israeli and Arab officials who spoke with the Wall Street Journal. The effort comes after US strikes on Iranian nuclear facilities and another wave of Iranian missiles targeting Israel. Israeli officials said they believe the current military phase is nearing its conclusion and expect to finish striking the remaining targets in Iran within days. The goal, officials added, is to pressure Iran back to the negotiating table and secure a commitment to permanently abandon its nuclear program. On Monday, Iran conducted the 21st wave of missile and drone attacks on Israel, inflicting heavy damage in multiple cities.

Iran Warns Of NPT Withdrawal, Strait Of Hormuz Closure After Attack

Following the United States’ airstrikes on Iranian nuclear facilities, senior Iranian lawmakers have raised the possibility of withdrawing from the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT) and closing the strategic Strait of Hormuz in retaliation. The warnings come after US President Donald Trump announced, in a post in Truth Social, on Sunday at dawn, that the United States carried out what he described as a “very successful attack” on three Iranian nuclear facilities: Fordow, Natanz, and Isfahan. Esmail Kowsari, a prominent member of Iran’s National Security and Foreign Policy Committee in Parliament, affirmed that the country had already implemented protective measures to safeguard its nuclear infrastructure.

US Attack On Iran Reaffirms Need For Global Anti-Imperialist Movement

The U.S. Peace Council strongly condemns the outrageous, criminal and illegal attack on the sovereign state of Iran by the United States administration of Donald J. Trump. This flagrant violation of the United Nations Charter and the Nuremberg condemnation of wars of choice, should serve as a graphic demonstration that U.S. imperialism continues to operate beyond the boundaries of law, rejecting any accountability or constraints on its behavior. The act of war committed by the U.S. against Iran comes on the heels of its violation of another red line of civilized international behavior by the U.S., when it treacherously pretended to be engaged in a diplomatic process with Iran as a diversionary tactic to facilitate a sneak attack on Iran by Israel.

The Only Weapons Of Mass Destruction In The Middle East Are Zionism, Israel’s Nukes And US/Western Imperialism

The zionist ethnostate has been spoiling for a war with Iran for decades. Who can forget the comedic, cartoonish, yet dark presentation of Benjamin Netanyahu to the United Nations in 2012 when he suggested that Iran was on the brink of developing a nuclear weapon. Netanyahu and other neocons have been peddling the false narrative about Iran’s nuclear timeline for decades, but this time is much different because it was acted upon, which has resulted in more death, more illegal acts that are egregious violations of international law and more global instability at the hands of the zionist ethnostate and its willing collaborators in the U.S. and the West.

The United States’ Plan To Bomb Iran

A plan was developed for the United States to use diplomacy to entice Iran into negotiations that then fail, so Iran can be attacked while the U.S. is pushing a false narrative saying the Iranians “brought it on themselves.” The plan also urged the U.S. to encourage or assist the Israelis, as a direct U.S. proxy, to conduct the strikes on Iran so as to deflect criticism and retaliation onto Israel, as Declassified Australia reports. The audacious plan for a “plausibly deniable” war is detailed in an analysis flippantly titled “Leave It To Bibi: Allowing or Encouraging an Israeli Military Strike,” published in a report named Which Path To Persia: Options for a New American Strategy Towards Iran by the Brookings Institution, a longstanding Washington, D.C., think tank.

Over The Brink

As of this writing, the Trump White House has launched an attack on the Islamic Republic of Iran – a country that already is the victim of an unprovoked aggression by Israel. B-52 bombers have hit three major nuclear facilities; batteries of Tomahawk missiles also have been fired. The potential consequences are catastrophic. This action is in violation of the explicit Constitutional provision that Congress alone has the power to declare war. That fundamental fact gets barely mentioned in whatever public discourse has taken place. The termination point of this reckless path to war will find us despised in the world – whatever the immediate military outcome.

Is The United States’ Story Of Its Attack On Iran Accurate?

The Pentagon claims that 30 cruise missiles were fired from submarines against Iranian nuclear sites near Natanz, Isfahan and Fordow. The main strike was allegedly by three B-2 heavy bomber which dropped six bunker buster bombs on the buried enrichment facility in Fordow. There are doubts that this indeed has happened. What we do know for sure is that the U.S. has launched an unprovoked, illegitimate attack against another country. The attack was also in breach of the Non-Nuclear Proliferation Treaty. Iran could, and now maybe should, resign from that treaty and reject inspections by IAEA personnel.

Trump Official: CIA’s Ratcliffe Acts As ‘Mossad Stenographer’ On Iran

An official in the administration of President Donald Trump has told The Grayzone that CIA Director John Ratcliffe and US CENTCOM Commander Gen. Michael Kurilla have become vehicles for Israel’s Mossad and military as they seek to manipulate the US into attacking Iran. The Trump official referred to Ratcliffe as “Mossad’s stenographer.” According to the official, Ratcliffe and Kurilla have pressured Trump to join Israel’s war more directly by regurgitating overblown briefings they received from the Israeli military and Mossad director David Barnea – but without informing the president that the intelligence was derived from a foreign third party.

Israeli Settlers Kick People Out Of Bomb Shelters In Depraved Behaviour

As the war between Israel and Iran intensifies, Israelis are systematically excluding minority groups from bomb shelters. It is well documented that the Israeli government do not provide Palestinians living in the occupied territories with the same protection that they do for Israelis. This includes failing to build bomb shelters in Arab towns.

Will Trump Enter Israel’s War On Iran?

“I don’t care what she said.” That’s what U.S. President Donald Trump said when a reporter confronted him with the one point that every reporter should be bringing up to him: “Tulsi Gabbard testified in March that the Intelligence Community said that Iran wasn’t building a nuclear weapon.” The President of the United States, with no evidence, stated that he simply believes a very key, yet false, point to be true despite his own intelligence services telling him that it isn’t. And on that basis, he may bring the United States into yet another doomed war in the Middle East.

If The United States Targets Iran, Gulf States Face A Choice

The rapidly escalating war between Iran and Israel has catapulted the Persian Gulf states into a vortex of geopolitical peril. Situated on strategic terrain and hosting a dense network of US military installations, these states are acutely aware that any US decision to join the warfront will obliterate their already-fragile neutrality. Their territories would then morph into frontline targets. As the US-backed Israeli war on Iran escalates, the Persian Gulf monarchies are attempting a delicate balancing act – preserving security, safeguarding energy exports, and sidestepping an open-ended war that could raze vital sectors like aviation and desalination.

Palestine Action Damage Military Planes To Intervene In Genocide

Palestine Action have damaged two military planes at RAF Brize Norton, where flights leave daily for RAF Akrotiri in Cyprus, a base used for military operations in Gaza and across the Middle East. Two activists broke into the largest air force base in Britain and used electric scooters to swiftly manoeuvre towards the planes. They used repurposed fire extinguishers to spray red paint into the turbine engines of two Airbus Voyagers and caused further damage using crowbars. Red paint, symbolising Palestinian bloodshed was also sprayed across the runway and a Palestine flag was left on the scene. Both activists managed to evade security and arrest.
