US To Build Internment-Style Camps In Israeli-Controlled Gaza

US President Donald Trump's administration is advancing a controversial plan to build what US officials called “Alternate Safe Communities” for displaced Palestinians inside the Israeli-controlled areas in Gaza that make up half of the strip, The Atlantic reported on 10 November. According to The Atlantic, the initiative envisions a string of US-backed settlements for Palestinians screened and approved by Israel’s domestic intelligence service. Anyone – or their relatives – found to be affiliated with or supportive of Hamas would be barred from entry, effectively separating them from the majority still living under Hamas administration on the western side of what Israeli troops now call the “yellow line.”

A West Bank Village Calls For International Support

In the hills of Masafer Yatta in the occupied West Bank, a small Bedouin community in the village of Umm al-Khair has fought for decades to remain on their land, a rocky landscape dotted with olive trees, where they farm and raise livestock. As a community with a steadfast commitment to nonviolent struggle, they document and fight back against increasing settler violence and land annexation for the illegal Israeli settlement expansion that surrounds their homes.  In an attack on Oct. 28, the community of 300 people was raided by the Israeli occupation forces and handed a series of final demolition orders for 11 residential homes, a community center, a playground and a greenhouse.

Elderly Public Housing Residents In Chelsea Ordered To Move Out

Last Saturday, roughly 15 to 20 Fulton and Elliott-Chelsea [FEC] public housing tenants fighting the impending destruction of their homes intercepted Council Member Erik Bottcher outside a Manhattan deli at W. 26th Street and 9th Avenue demanding a meeting with him and challenging his support of the demolition plan Community Board 4 has already rejected. They got the meeting with him that afternoon—but didn’t like what they heard. According to Midtown South Community Council President John Mudd, who was also at the Sept. 20 meeting, Council Member Bottcher listened to the elderly FEC tenants express their opposition to the demolition plan “with no filters or anyone to run interference” for about 45 minutes.

One Million Palestinians ‘Reject Displacement’ From North Gaza

About one million Palestinians in Gaza City and northern Gaza are refusing or are unable to be forcibly displaced to overcrowded “safe zones” in southern Gaza, according to a statement issued by the Gaza Government Media Office on 16 September. “More than one million Palestinians remain rooted in Gaza City and the northern Gaza Strip, holding onto their land and homes, and categorically rejecting displacement to the south, despite the savage bombardment and genocidal war carried out by the Israeli occupation,” Palestinian officials said. The statement highlights that the population of Gaza City and northern Gaza “exceeds 1.3 million people,” most of whom have already been displaced from their neighborhoods to central and coastal areas.

Synergy Of The Sacrificed: Katrina And The Praxis Of Imperial Domination

Commemorating Katrina and its aftermath in 2025 comes at a time when a series of anthropogenic calamities from the genocide, ethnic cleansing and apartheid in Palestine, to the militarized federal takeover of Washington, D.C. (with the threat of more cities, such as Chicago, to follow) as part of a larger fascist consolidation effort are all exacerbated by an accelerated climate crisis that further elucidates the praxis of Imperial domination, which continues to oppress colonized and marginalized peoples across the world. Imperial domination can be described as the methods in which oppressive forces - including nation states and corporations (in many cases cooperating with one another)—exercise power over oppressed people through settlement, forced displacement, and other forms of socio-economic, environmental, and cultural warfare.

‘The Billionaires Don’t Give A Flying F—K About Us!’

Twenty-one-year-old Chloe Jacobs is a fourth generation Chelsea resident. Her grandparents moved into Penn South during the 1960s when the west side neighborhood was still developing as a cozy enclave where poor and working class New Yorkers could thrive and raise their kids in peace. Today, however, Jacobs knows all that could very well end with her because the billionaire developers behind the massive Hudson Yards project want what the residents of Chelsea have. “It is so blatantly obvious that all this project is, is to rid Chelsea of poor people,” Jacobs told Community Board 4’s Land Use Committee on Tuesday night.

Solidarity Statement For Gaza From Wolastoqewi-Mothers, Grandmothers, And Aunties

As Wolastoqewi-Mothers, Grandmothers, and Aunties—keepers of life, memory, and spirit—we speak today not out of anger, but out of deep sorrow and responsibility. Our teachings remind us that every child is sacred, that land is not a possession but a living relative, and that dignity belongs to all peoples, no matter how far from our own homeland they may be. We have long followed a path of non-interference, respecting the sovereignty and self-determination of other nations. This is a principle that has allowed us to survive, to heal, and to remain rooted in our own identity. Yet, there are moments in history when silence becomes too heavy to bear.

Mossad Chief Pushes For US Assistance In Ethnically Cleansing Gaza

David Barnea, the director of Israel's Mossad spy agency, held meetings in Washington this week seeking help from US officials to convince countries to take hundreds of thousands of Palestinians who Israel plans to ethnically cleanse from Gaza, Axios reported on 19 July. According to two sources, the Israeli spy chief told White House envoy Steve Witkoff that Israel has been in talks with Ethiopia, Indonesia, and Libya to accept Palestinians as refugees. While Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu claims his government's goal of expelling much or all of Gaza's population will be "voluntary" for Palestinians, US and Israeli legal experts say it would constitute ethnic cleansing and a clear war crime.

Israel’s ‘Humanitarian City’ Plan

The Israeli government has just put forward one of the most brazenly genocidal schemes in modern memory — and unless we act immediately, the world will once again let it happen. As reported in Haaretz, Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz is proposing to force some 600,000 Palestinians — and eventually the entire population of Gaza — into a fenced-in “humanitarian city” to be built on the ruins of Rafah in southern Gaza. The plan is to “screen” the population, separate out alleged Hamas members, and then pressure the remaining civilians — men, women, and children — to “voluntarily” leave Gaza for another country. Which country? That hasn’t even been determined.

City Cuts Power To Black St. Louis After Tornado Disaster

On June 2, the St. Louis city government cut off electricity to thousands of tornado victims in the Northside Black community. Shortly after a tornado tore through the Black community of North St. Louis on May 16, red tags reading “Danger. Entry prohibited. Violators subject to prosecution”, were placed by volunteer inspectors who did not enter the homes, but made cursory assessments from the sidewalk. Mayor Cara Spencer had announced shortly after the May 16 tornado that the city would be directing Ameren to shut off the power to every red-tagged building, a minimum of 1500 homes.

Brazil: Military Police Violently Evict Families Of Landless Rural Workers

Families belonging to the Landless Rural Workers’ Movement (MST) from the Edivaldo Sena Camp, in Boa Esperança Farm, municipality of Rafael Jambeiro, Bahia state of Brazil, have been violently evicted by the Military Police. More than 10 police vehicles participated in the operation on Saturday, May 17, which was carried out without the presence of any representative from the Ombudsperson’s Office. The MST condemned the Bahia Public Security Secretariat (SSP-BA) for ordering the eviction, which represents a serious violation of human rights and disrespect for a previous judicial decision. According to the movement, the families had established the camp more than three years ago and, after being evicted on April 30, they returned on May 16 to defend their legitimate right to the land.
