Adalah Demands Immediate Release Of 21 Activists Aboard The ‘Handala’

Israeli forces intercepted the Handala in international waters at around midnight (Israel time) on 27 July 2025 and contact with the activists was lost. This peaceful civilian mission was dedicated to the children of Gaza and named after the Palestinian national symbol Handala, created by political cartoonist Naji al-Ali, who represents a barefoot refugee child who turned his back on injustice and vowed not to face the world again until Palestinian refugees are allowed to return to their homeland. This ship, which sailed as part of the Freedom Flotilla Coalition (FCC), is part of the coalition’s ongoing efforts to break Israel’s illegal and deadly blockade on the Palestinian people in Gaza, amid the ongoing genocide and deliberate starvation imposed on Gaza’s population.

The Gaza Riviera

Israelis do not see the images of skeletal corpses of Palestinian children who they have starved to death as a curse. They do not see the slain families they gun down at food hubs — designed not to deliver aid but lure starving Palestinians into a massive concentration camp in the south of Gaza in preparation for deportation — as a war crime. Israelis do not look at the savage bombing and shelling that kill or wound dozens of Palestinian civilians, where an average of 28 children die daily, as anything extraordinary. They do not see the wasteland of Gaza, pulverized by bombs and methodically being torn down by bulldozers and excavators, leaving virtually the entire population of Gaza homeless, as barbaric.

United States Pulls Out Of Gaza Ceasefire Talks

The U.S. envoy to the Middle East, Steve Witkoff, said on Monday that the U.S. will consider “alternative options” to negotiating with Hamas following the breakdown of ceasefire talks between Israel and the resistance group. Witkoff’s statements came as part of his announcement of Washington’s withdrawal from the talks in Qatar, only a day after Hamas presented its response to the latest Witkoff proposal. Witkoff’s statement that the U.S. would find another way of securing “stability” in Gaza and the release of Israeli hostages in the Strip was later backed with a similar statement from President Trump, who said on Friday that Hamas “didn’t really want to make a deal.”

Israel Planning ‘Major Offensive’ Against Yemen

Israel is planning a “major offensive” against Yemen and is waiting for a green light from the Israeli political echelon, Israel’s Channel 14 reported on 23 July. “The Israeli security establishment is working around the clock on a major offensive plan against the Yemeni Ansarallah group, which will put an end to the numerous terrorist incidents and rocket attacks on Israel,” the Hebrew channel said. “We are building capabilities, and we will know how to activate them once the political echelon makes a decision,” a senior official told the outlet. “What we accomplished in 12 minutes in Iran, we will also know how to do in Yemen,” the official added.

Israel Is Changing The Legal System Governing The West Bank

Israel is accelerating its efforts to cement its permanent control over the West Bank through a number of sweeping legal and institutional changes, according to a new report from Adalah, The Legal Center for Arab Minority Rights in Israel. The 87-page report, Legal Structures of Distinction, Separation, and Territorial Domination, describes the ways in which the Netanyahu government is rapidly building on a long-standing legal matrix that further threatens Palestinians’ right to self-determination. “These developments are not something new to us,” Dr. Suhad Bishara, Legal Director of Adalah and lead author of the report, told Mondoweiss.

Dell Supplied Tech Used In Israeli Kill-List Programs

Dell Technologies enjoys deeper ties with the Israeli military than previously known, including enabling Israeli soldiers to target and kill Palestinian civilians using Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies, the Electronic Intifada reported on 24 July. In January 2023, the US-based multinational won a $150 million tender from Israel’s Defense Ministry to supply servers and IT infrastructure to the Israeli army, other security bodies, and the ministry itself. The deal included services provided by Dell subsidiaries VMware and EMC Israel Advanced Information Technologies, which offered both technology and training to Israeli military units.

Stop The Nationwide Repression Of The Pro-Palestine Movement

Columbia University just suspended nearly 80 students for participating in a teach-in honoring Palestinian writer and revolutionary Basel al-Araj — marking the largest student suspension in the university’s modern history. The escalation comes amid growing repression against the pro-Palestine movement nationally, and just days before Columbia is expected to finalize an agreement with the Trump administration and the Anti-Defamation League (ADL). The deal would restore $400 million in canceled federal funding in exchange for adopting policies that criminalize criticism of Israel.

Belgian Court Bans Military Shipments To Israel In Activist Victory

In what could become a landmark ruling, a Belgian judge recently ordered the Flemish government to halt the transit of goods that could be used to continue or expand the genocide in Gaza. The decision follows a joint campaign by four organizations – Intal, Vredesactie (Peace Action), 11.11.11, and the Human Rights League – which was triggered by the discovery of containers in the port of Antwerp addressed to Israeli company Ashot Ashkelon Industries. The containers included materials used for the assembly of Merkava tanks, the same model implicated in the attack that killed six-year-old Hind Rajab.

Israeli-Made Famine In Gaza Reaches Critical Point

At least 15 Palestinians died of starvation in Gaza over the past 24 hours, bringing the death toll from hunger and malnutrition to 101 since the start of the genocide, including 89 children, according to the Palestinian Health Ministry on July 22. “This is a silent massacre. The Ministry of Health holds the Israeli occupation and the international community fully responsible. We urgently call for the immediate opening of all crossings to allow the entry of food and medicine,” the ministry said. Euro-Med Monitor reported that one Palestinian died of hunger every 80 minutes on Sunday, accusing Israel of pursuing “a systematic starvation policy against 2 million residents.”

MAGA Going To Israel For Propaganda Training

The Israel foreign ministry will spend $86,000 to finance a tour of Israel for 16 Americans to get them to use their vast online influence to craft more positive images of a nation openly engaged in genocide. The effort is being made as Israel reacts to a significant turn in public opinion against it, especially by Western youth. Tel Aviv realizes its usual methods of propaganda — and apparently its own inhouse troll army — are no longer working as they once did. The daily Haaretz reported: Foreign Ministry officials say the tour delivers significant media, advocacy, and diplomatic benefits – and represents a strategic shift, as traditional outreach is no longer sufficient to shape public opinion. They aim to leverage the massive followings of young social media influencers to bolster Israel’s standing in the U.S.

Family Of Palestinian-American Man Killed By Settlers Demands US Action

Friday, July 11, marked a profound bereavement for the residents of Al-Mazraa Al-Sharqiyah village northeast of Ramallah, in the central occupied West Bank, after a group of illegal Israeli settlers treacherously murdered two young men of the village. Mohammad Shalabi (23), and Sayfollah Musallet (20) were in Mount Al-Baten, located between Al-Mazraa Al-Sharqiyah and a nearby village called Sinjil, when they were attacked by settlers and killed. A resident of Al-Mazraa Al-Sharqiyah told Peoples Dispatch that illegal Israeli settlers began to vandalize farms belonging to families of the village in Mount Al-Baten over a month ago.

Israeli Soldiers Fear Prosecution Over Genocide In Gaza

Israel’s genocide in Gaza has left soldiers serving in the occupation army “afraid” to return “home”, fearing prosecution for war crimes committed during the ongoing assault which has killed more than 58,000 Palestinians, most of them women and children. In Canada, where several citizens have served in the Israel Defence Forces (IDF), a growing number of those soldiers are reported to be reconsidering trips home after learning they may be under investigation. In June, the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) confirmed it had launched a “structural investigation” into crimes committed during the Gaza assault.

Israeli Youth Burn Their IDF Draft Orders To Protest Gaza War

An Israeli human rights activist called Itamar Greenberg recently captured a protest in Tel Aviv showcasing Israeli youth burning their IDF draft orders in protest of the ongoing aggression on Gaza since Oct. 7, 2023. The video circulating on X (formerly known as Twitter) garnered hundreds of thousands of views on the social media platform, with many fellow activists praising the protestors for their courage and bravery. Burning the IDF draft orders showcases the activists' refusal to take part in Israel's ongoing aggression on Gaza.

Hague Group Confronts Israel Over Gaza

Collective measures to confront Israel’s genocide of the Palestinian people have been agreed by 12 nations after an emergency summit of the Hague Group in Bogota, Colombia. A joint statement adopted on Wednesday announced the six measures, which it said were geared to holding Israel to account for its crimes in Palestine and would operate within the states’ domestic legal and legislative frameworks. The 12 countries agreeing are Bolivia, Colombia, Cuba, Indonesia, Iraq, Libya, Malaysia, Namibia, Nicaragua, Oman, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, and South Africa.

How Israel And The US Are Orchestrating Syria’s Collapse

Southern Syria is once again in turmoil. Recent clashes in the city of Suwayda between Druze militias and Bedouin gangs triggered a swift military response from the Syrian government, and airstrikes by Israel on positions in Damascus. In this episode of State of Play, I’m joined by Ahmad from Propaganda & Co. and MintPress journalist Robert Inlakesh to examine the wider forces behind the violence. Beneath the headlines lies a pattern: outside powers managing chaos to remake Syria in their image. Israel claimed its strikes were defensive, aimed at protecting the Druze population. But according to U.S. intelligence, Syria had informed Israel of its tank movements ahead of time.
