Guaido’s ‘Terrorist’ Chief Of Staff Arrested In Venezuela

Intelligence services have dismantled a "terrorist cell" that planned to attack and destabilize Venezuela, Minister of Interior Justice and Peace Nestor Reverol announced Thursday. Roberto Marrero Borgas, alleged "chief of staff" for self-proclaimed "interim president" Juan Guaido, was arrested in the police operation, the official said. "The citizen Marrero Borgas is directly responsible for the organization of these criminal groups. A batch of weapons of war, cash in foreign currency was seized from him during a search conducted at his residence."

The NY Times Spreads Lies About Venezuela And Cuba

After the New York Times confirmed that a truck carrying “humanitarian aid” was burned by opposition thugs - not Venezuelan security forces – someone alerted me that this unusual favor offered by the corporate press, publishing a well known fact, was a way to develop legitimacy around the issue of Venezuela and that I should be ready for the next lie that would not be long in coming. Two weeks did not pass before this prediction was borne out. Sunday, March 17, the Timespublished a report accusing the Venezuelan government, with the complicity of Cuban doctors working there, of using food and medicine to pressure citizens prior to the 2018 Presidential elections...

Please join us for a livestream report this Thursday at 7 pm EST.  View the livestream at the Facebook page of NJ Revolutionary Radio, https://www.facebook.com/NJRevRad/. Maduro Meets U.S. Anti-War Delegation, Says, ‘Humanity’s Battle Is Between Socialism And Capitalism’

The U.S. Peace Council delegates, Comité de Solidaridad Internacional Venezuela (COSI) and President Maduro met to discuss strengthening cooperation and communication. Suggestions were for sending more delegations to Venezuela and more social media exchanges. When Maduro heard from Sarah Martin that there was a demonstration for Venezuela in Minneapolis happening that day, he immediately sent a twitter message to them. The Venezuelans are very supportive of the upcoming action on March 30 in support of the Bolivarian Revolution in Washington, D.C.

A Walk Through The Barrio, Catia, In Caracas, Venezuela

Today I went to Catia the biggest barrio in West Caracas with a population of 1.5 million. An amazing cultural trait that I've noticed in Venezuela is the way people walk up to me with no introduction and make political declarations. The 'CLAP; are government-subsidized food bags, which are up to 90% cheaper than market value and have been a lifeline for so many due to hyper inflation. The delivery and distribution is a true community effort and was a pleasure to witness and like so many community actions, women are at the forefront. The support for the government was undeniable. I provocatively asked one of the women, "Wouldn't live [sic] be easier if the opposition came into power, sanctions would be lifted and life would be less harsh." She cried in my face and explained that for her, the Washington-aligned opposition was the problem.

Goodbye, Guaidó

The aggression of foreign powers gives revolutionary people the opportunity to raise their political consciousness and self-esteem, increase their willingness and culture of resistance and test their ability to defeat powerful enemies. They are either strengthened in the face of intervention, or they are defeated by intervention and counterrevolution. The Venezuelan people have gained experience in almost two decades of fierce hostility from U.S. imperialism, its allies and lackeys.

Veterans Call On U.S. Troops To Resist Illegal Orders To Invade Venezuela In Response To Trump

Veterans For Peace (VFP) calls on all members of the U.S. military to refuse illegal orders to intervene in Venezuela. Furthermore, VFP urges all U.S. military leaders to inform the president that they will order their units to stand down from preparations to invade Venezuela. President Donald Trump has called on Venezuelan soldiers to disobey orders and join coup perpetrators headed by U.S.-backed opposition leader, Juan Guaidó.  If they do not do this, President Trump threatened: “You will find no safe harbor, no easy exit and no way out.  You will lose everything.”

On The Ground In Venezuela vs. The Media Spectacle

Paul Cochrane (PC): What were you doing in Venezuela, how long were you there and where did you go? Alan Gignoux (AG): We went in June 2018 for a month to shoot a documentary; I can’t disclose what channels it will be on right now, but it should be on air soon. We visited the capital Caracas, Mérida (in the Andes), Cumaná (on the coast), and Ciudad Guayana (near the mouth of the Orinoco river). PC: How did being in Venezuela compare to what you were seeing in Western media?

Supporters Around The World Rally, Crying ‘Hands Off Venezuela’

From Argentina to South Africa, Malaysia to Peru, New Zealand to Canada and the U.S., supporters of the Bolivarian revolution marched together as part of the World in Solidarity with Venezuela Day this weekend. The National Union of Metalworkers of South Africa (NUMSA) was concentrated in front of the US consulate in Johannesburg with the slogan "Hands off Venezuela," "Hands out of Venezuela." From Vancouver, in Canada, the mobilization against war and occupation (MAWO) marched in defense of the peace of the South American country.

Venezuela: US Imperialism Is Based On Lies And Threats

We are completing what became more than a week-long peace delegation to Venezuela organized by the US Peace Council and the Committee for International Solidarity in Venezuela (COSI). The trip was complicated by American Airlines cancelling all flights in and out of the country, leaving us scrambling for ways to get there and get home. We also arrived in the midst of the attack on Venezuela's electrical system, which caused further complications. Our delegation met with community groups, political parties and members of the government, including a private meeting with President Maduro.

#HandsOffVenezuela March In Washington: No To Economic And Military Warfare

Washington, DC - Denouncing the "strangling" of the Venezuelan economy via sanctions and demanding the Trump administration allow the South American country to determine its own fate, pro-democracy protesters marched through Washington, D.C. on Saturday to demand, "Hands Off Venezuela!" The demonstration came seven weeks after the Trump administration recognized opposition leader Juan Guaido as interim president, rebuking President Nicolas Maduro, who won re-election last May. U.S. sanctions on Venezuela's state-owned oil company followed, on top of the $30 million per day earlier U.S. sanctions have cost the country.

New Details Of Failed Assassination Against Maduro

The US network ,CNN, published an investigation in which it again confirms the official version of the attempt to assassinate President Nicolás Maduro.  The revelation comes from an interview with a former Venezuelan soldier who contributed videos and photos of the group training in the "Colombian plains" to execute the failed assassination with drones. In these videos, collected by the CNN correspondent in Colombia, it can be clearly seen how drones are sent again and again as high as possible and then abruptly descending to explode near the floor, exactly as they wanted to do in August of 2018.

Solidarity Isn’t A Slogan, It’s A Process

Imperialism is not a static phenomenon. What we had in the 19th century and into the early 20th century is different from what we have now. At that time, production was mostly inside nations. You had the Ford Motor Company located in the United States in competition with Daimler located in Germany, and most Daimler cars were built in Germany, while most Ford cars were built in the United States. They were competing for resources in third or fourth or fifth countries and for markets and finance, etc. That was a form of inter‐capitalist rivalry, and it pushed countries to use their political, military, and economic power to get an advantage over other countries.

Venezuela: Cyber Attack On Electric Grid Came From U.S.

Caracas, VZ - The constitutional president of Venezuela, Nicolas Maduro, denounced on Friday that the cyber attack against the Venezuelan electric system, which caused a five-day national blackout, was directed from Houston and Chicago, cities in the United States. All services were taken away from the Venezuelan "people, in an attack commanded directly by the United States and by John Bolton," who is the National Security Advisor for the White House, President Nicolas Maduro said during a televised national address in Caracas, held by the Armed Forces and Venezuelan governors.

‘Life Calm In Caracas, People Prepared For More Struggle’

Our delegation made a short video today to talk about the situation of the people we have seen here in which everyone said that life in Caracas is going on. People were eating ice cream in the street. No one looked skinny, let alone starving, and people were treating each other with respect.  The danger that still exists, as Eva Bartlett pointed out, is from the continued threats and actions by the U.S. government that disrupt Venezuelan society, plus the threat of military intervention. The people here are preparing for the next U.S. attack through their community councils, which are telling them to start storing food, water and batteries.
