Tesla Car Boycott Goes Global In Defiance Of CEO Musk On Week Seven

Washington DC — Hundreds of Tesla electric vehicle dealerships saw lines of citizens line up outside them urging consumers to boycott the flailing car company. The decentralized grassroots actions have targeted the world’s richest man, Elon Musk over his continued interference in Federal government operations. A surge of anger towards the mega billionaire has fueled the Tesla dealership boycott actions which are now in their seventh week. The boycotts are credited with taking down, at least in part, over 40% of the car company’s stock value.

Tesla Boycott Actions Keep Going And Going Six Weeks On

Arlington, VA — At about 12:30 on Saturday afternoon about 20 arrived early and circled up nearby the Arlington Tesla dealership to discuss safety and security of the ongoing weekend boycott rally which was to begin at 2 pm. The main organizers of Third Act of Virginia asked participants to agree with a thumbs up of a short list of positive behaviors that would keep the boycott action inclusive, safe, and non-confrontational towards Tesla customers. They discussed deescalation as a method of diffusing tensions during conflict. Third Act of Virginia is a grassroots organization dedicated for those 60 years and older, or in the “Third Act” of their lives and wanting to give time and resources back to their communities.

Tesla Takedown Protests Grow With Grassroots Spirit For Fifth Week

Arlington Virginia—On week five of the Tesla Takedown protests one could be led to believe a block party was in full swing outside the Tesla dealership in Arlington, Virginia. Many went with their signs and banners but some brought sound systems with playlists and boomed the line with resistance dance music. And the music was in the right key of freedom to dance. Someone even brought a case of Budweiser nonalcoholic energy drinks in the classic aluminum cans. The community got a large share of favorability ratings from passersby honking their support and thumbs up for the block long protest line.

Trump Labels Tesla Dealership Attacks As Domestic Terrorism

President Donald Trump announced on Tuesday that attacks on Tesla dealerships and vehicles would be classified as acts of domestic terrorism, escalating his support for Tesla CEO Elon Musk amid the company’s stock decline and ongoing protests. The declaration follows weeks of demonstrations against Musk’s deepening political ties to the Trump administration, including his role in government restructuring and his controversial far-right rhetoric. The statement came during a White House event where Trump stood alongside Musk, who had brought several Tesla vehicles for a photo op.

Tesla Showroom Occupied By Activists In Clear Message To Elon Musk

Far-right miscreant Elon Musk got a taste of the opposition to him in London – as protesters occupied his Tesla showroom over his multiple crimes against people and planet. At midday on Saturday 1 March, the Tesla showroom in Westfield Shepherd’s Bush was disrupted by Climate Resistance protestors. A massive banner with the demand “Abolish billionaires” was dropped over the Tesla logo from a balcony above as a group of 30 staged a sit-in inside the showroom. The disruption took place as part of the new Abolish Billionaires campaign from campaign group Climate Resistance.

Tesla Protests Grow, Tap Rage Towards Elon Musk

Washington DC—Saturday marked the third week of Tesla protests in the DC-Maryland-Virginia (DC-MD-VA) area as the protests outside Tesla dealerships continued growing and spreading across the country. The protests reflect the extent of the rage many feel towards mega-billionaire Elon Musk for his role in the takeover and takedown of vital Federal agencies and functions. Protesters are urging car owners to sell their Teslas or boycott the electric car company altogether. They are calling their actions Tesla Takedown in response to Musk’s Federal Government takedown.

Locals Hit Elon Musk Tesla Car Dealers Again

Local grassroots organizers stepped up actions on Saturday for the second weekend outside Elon Musk’s Tesla electric vehicle dealerships in hopes of spurring a boycott against the company. At least four dealerships were targeted in the region as fury rose against the mega-billionaire and world’s richest man. The protests were part of a national effort by many grassroots groups. Local dealerships of the District of Columbia, Maryland and Virginia (DC-MD-VA) at Georgetown, Washington DC; Rockville, Maryland; Tysons Corner and Arlington, Virginia were among those sites of the weekend protests.

Protesters Target Elon Musk Tesla Car Dealerships

Citizens angry with Elon Musk’s DOGE takeover of Federal government agencies rallied outside multiple mega-billionaire Tesla dealerships Saturday to tell him they aren’t putting up with his Federal government cuts and his explanation for the cost cutting “mandate“ policies. It was the first salvo in what may become a grassroots movement targeting the billionaire’s commercial interests and empire as the result of his bullying tactics of Federal government agencies, workers and operations. Protesters rallied outside Rockville MD Tesla, Georgetown Washington DC Tesla, and Arlington VA Tesla dealerships while drivers honked in support as they went by.

‘Teslastoppen’ Elon Musk’s Water War In The Heart Of Europe

“Welcome to the Utopian Gigafactory,” reads a banner hung across a path in a Brandenburg Forest outside Berlin, Germany. At the end of the path, Tesla’s -very real- Gigafactory is visible behind the trees. The banner has been hung by activists of the “Teslastoppen” (Stop Tesla) initiative, who have occupied part of the forest since late February, aiming to prevent Tesla from expanding its only European Gigafactory. The occupation consists of approximately 100 activists, rotating between Berlin and Gruheide,  who have set up around a dozen treehouses and platforms suspended with ropes between trees, several meters up in the air.

US TikTok Ban Aims To Weaken China And Protect Tech Monopolies

The US government has for years threatened to ban TikTok, one of the most popular social media apps in the country. It’s now looking like this might actually happen. This March, the House of Representatives voted overwhelmingly to pass legislation called the “Protecting Americans from Foreign Adversary Controlled Applications Act”. This bill states that it “prohibits distributing, maintaining, or providing internet hosting services for a foreign adversary controlled application (e.g., TikTok)”. It passed with an overwhelming majority of 352 votes in favor and just 65 votes against.

Tesla Faces Scandinavian Labor Revolt

Tesla faces a growing revolt in Scandinavia after Danish dockworkers joined a sympathy strike with Swedish mechanics, heaping pressure on the electric vehicle giant to grant collective bargaining rights to employees. Members of Swedish trade union IF Metall have been at loggerheads with Tesla for six weeks, and have garnered support via a secondary strike action from fellow workers across a range of industries in Sweden, including postal workers, painters, dockworkers and electricians. Tesla CEO Elon Musk bemoaned the blockage of license plate deliveries by postal workers as “insane” and late last month filed lawsuits against both the Swedish Transport Agency and the postal service.

Next On UAW’s To-Do List: Adding Members At Nonunion Factories

Having negotiated “record contracts” with the Big Three – and seen the bulk of its rank-and-file members approve them – the United Auto Workers says its work isn’t done. The union intends to try once more to persuade the rest of the U.S. auto industry’s workers to join the union. “We’re going to organize like we’ve never organized before,” said UAW President Shawn Fain. As labor scholars who have studied union finances, we believe this is a formidable objective. On top of the intense corporate resistance from the likes of Tesla CEO Elon Musk, there’s the high cost of waging expensive campaigns in states like Tennessee and Alabama, which have “right-to-work” laws designed to discourage labor organizing.

Tesla Union Pressure Increases In Sweden As Dockworkers Escalate Strike

Dockworkers in Sweden pledged on Friday to refuse to offload Tesla (TSLA.O) cars at any of the country's ports as they expanded their industrial action in sympathy with Tesla workers' demands for collective bargaining agreements. Tesla, co-founded by billionaire Elon Musk, does not manufacture in Sweden, but its electric cars are serviced by more than 120 mechanics affiliated with Swedish union IF Metall, which began a strike on Oct. 27. Dockworkers joined the strike by mechanics on Nov. 7, blocking Sweden's four largest ports to Tesla cars. That was expanded to all ports on Friday at 12 a.m. (1100 GMT)

Tesla: The Cars That Racism Built?

Complaint after complaint alleging anti-Black racism at Tesla’s factory in Fremont has not stopped such abuse and discrimination, with Black workers segregated into the hardest, most dangerous, lowest-paid jobs and subjected to a barrage of racist treatment, language and images, according to claims in recent court filings and employee interviews. Black workers at the plant — Tesla’s biggest California facility, which employs thousands to build its four electric car models — alleged such abuse often began soon after they started, excited at landing a job at the famed automotive pioneer.

México-Tesla Agreement: Mutually Beneficial Or One-sided?

On March 1, 2023, México’s President Andres Lopéz Obrador confirmed an agreement with Tesla that allows the electric vehicle company to build the “biggest electric vehicle plant in the world.” The plant, or maquiladora, will be located in the border state of Nuevo León within the industrial hub of Monterrey, México.” The plant will specifically be located in the Santa Catarina municipality. The agreement is governed by the United States-México-Canada Agreement (USMCA), previously known as the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA). The México-Tesla partnership was announced just 10 days after the Mexican president issued an executive order which expedited the nationalization of the country’s lithium reserves.
