US-Appointed Haitian Council Calls For Foreign Military Intervention

The nine members of the Presidential Transitional Council (CPT), the new traitors to the Nation, are already at work. Working under the diktat of the American colonial administration, they have just committed another act of offense against the country by writing to Kenyan President William Ruto on Monday May 6 to demand the deployment of foreign forces that the Western powers in agreement with the UN Security Council have named their project to better sell: Multinational Security Support Mission in Haiti. However, preparations to sully and defile Haitian territory for the umpteenth time by Westerners are well underway.

Even Biden’s Lawyers Urge The White House To Change Course On Gaza

In a message to Attorney General Merrick Garland and other senior officials this week, federal government attorneys invoked British abolitionist William Wilberforce: “You may choose to look the other way, but you can never say again that you did not know.” The letter , drafted by unnamed legal and policy staff at more than two dozen federal agencies, argues that the U.S. is violating domestic and international law by providing a steady stream of weapons to Israel despite evidence of war crimes in Gaza. Drawing comparisons to the infamous “torture memos,” which were drafted by government lawyers to provide cover to CIA waterboarding  and other tactics, the letter reminded fellow attorneys of their binding duty to follow the law over political priorities.

USAID Whistleblowers Accuse Biden Of ‘Direct Complicity’ In Gaza Famine

Current and former officials from the US Agency for International Development (USAID) and the State Department say the White House has ignored months of internal warnings about the spread of famine in the besieged Gaza Strip, according to an in-depth investigation by the Independent. “I believe the US to be complicit in creating the conditions for famine. Not only has our response been woefully inadequate, but we’re actively responsible in large part for it,” a USAID employee told the British daily. Internal documents reviewed by the Independent show that staffers have repeatedly warned USAID administrator Samantha Power and other senior leaders about the intensifying crisis in Gaza “often to no avail.”

Biden Is Sending Israel Another $1 Billion In Weapons

Congressional aides say that the Biden administration will send Israel another $1 billion in weapons and ammunition. The package includes roughly $700 million for tank ammunition, $500 million for tactical vehicles, and $60 million in mortar rounds. The move comes amid rising tensions over a potential military invasion of Rafah, a town in Southern Gaza. The story was first reported by the Wall Street Journal. This is the first arms shipment The White House has announced since it paused a shipment of 2,000-pound bombs to Israel last week. In an interview with CNN Biden admitted that  “Civilians have been killed in Gaza as a consequence of those bombs.”

Washington Removes Cuba From List Of Countries Not Cooperating Fully Against Terrorism

The US Department of State has announced that Cuba is no longer on their list of countries not fully cooperating against terrorism, which does not include the lifting of their illegal and unilateral sanctions against the Cuban people. The cooperation against terrorism list, which the Department of State is required by law to provide to US Congress, is not the same as the State Sponsors of Terrorism list, according to a Department of State official announcing the decision this Wednesday, May 15. Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodríguez reported via social media that “the United States has just admitted what is known to all: that Cuba fully collaborates with the efforts against terrorism.”

Imperialist Weaponry And Shifting Alliances In The Sahel

$95 billion in supplemental defense spending aimed at furthering the interests of the United States in various geopolitical regions of the world was recently passed by the legislative branches of the government. These actions speak volumes on the actual priorities of Congress and the administration of President Joe Biden. During the course of the first Biden administration, the Congress failed to pass pieces of legislation which were promised during the 2020 presidential campaign such as the George Floyd Justice in Policing Act, the John Lewis Voting Rights Act, among many others. Inflation remains a serious problem for working and oppressed peoples even though the White House is praising its economic agenda which has left tens of millions locked in poverty and social deprivation.

Source Reveals US Secret Services Enabled Jorge Glas Kidnapping

A well-placed individual speaking on the condition of anonymity has informed The Canada Files that US secret services embedded in Ecuador – through spying on Mexico’s embassy – ensured President Daniel Noboa knew of Mexico’s plan to get former Vice President Jorge Glas to Mexico after granting him political assembly, enabling Noboa to order the illegal raid on Mexico’s embassy and kidnap Glas. The kidnapping of Glas, who has faced political persecution through Ecuador’s judiciary since 2017, sparked international outrage as a blatant violation of the Vienna Convention and Mexico’s sovereignty. Mexico cut off diplomatic relations with Ecuador and has taken Ecuador to the International Court of Justice for this violation.

Washington’s Proxy War In Myanmar Continues Along China’s Borders

Depicted by Western governments and Western media as an isolated, internal conflict between a “military dictatorship” and the forces of “democracy,” in actuality the conflict represents decades of Anglo-American attempts to reassert Western control over the former British colony. Much of the fighting is taking place between the central government and armed ethnic groups that had at one point been a part of the British Empire’s occupation force, utilized by the US and UK during World War 2 against the Japanese, and used ever since to disrupt Myanmar’s ambitions for independence and self-determination.

Biden’s Shifting ‘Red Line’ Allows Israel To Keep Getting Away With Murder

Over the seven months of Israel’s genocidal campaign in Gaza, the United States has worked vigorously to offer maximum support for Israel while trying to give the impression that it is concerned about the massive loss of Palestinian life. The performance has been difficult to maintain, as virtually every American action contradicts the occasional words of concern for the devastation being fully abetted and enabled by American policy. In recent weeks, political pressures have forced President Joe Biden to try to take more concrete steps to deter what he considers “excessive” Israeli actions.

US Announces Military Exercise In Guyana And Venezuela Responds

The US embassy in Guyana announced on May 9 that military exercises will be held in the South American country. The US representation in Guyana said that two US military planes will fly over Georgetown and the region on Thursday. The Venezuelan government responded in social media posts, in which ministers called the measure a “threat to regional peace”. Guyana and Venezuela are currently experiencing diplomatic tension over the disputed territory of Essequibo. In December 2023, Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro called a referendum for the population to vote on the reincorporation of Essequibo—which was Venezuelan until the 19th century. The majority voted yes.

Yemen Braces For Impending Massive US-Led Air And Ground Campaign

Senior military officials in Sana’a have informed MintPress News of ongoing military preparations by the US, UK, and Saudi-led Coalition over the past two weeks. According to these sources, there are plans to initiate a significant aerial assault on the Yemeni mainland, focusing particularly on coastal regions in the west, as well as areas in the south near the Saudi border. This assault is expected to be accompanied by ground offensives carried out by factions aligned with the UAE, Saudi Arabia and Bahrain. MintPress News sources indicate a probable escalation, coinciding with significant military reinforcements.

Flood The Gates: Escalate

It has been 208 days since this most recent and most horrific chapter of the 75-year U.S.-zionist genocide in Gaza began. Over 40,000 Palestinians have been martyred, but the actual death toll is likely upward of 100,000. Despite the mobilizations of millions around the world, we must acknowledge that we have not been able to stop the genocide — we have not come even close. This is a failure, but not a defeat. It demands we reckon with our errors and recalculate our strategy to win. After October 7, we recognized immediately the need for escalatory resistance to imperialism’s escalating violence.

Israel-US Gaza Plan Stares Us In The Face

One does not need to be a fortune-teller to understand that the Israel-U.S. game plan for Gaza runs something like this: In public, Biden appears “tough” on Netanyahu, urging him not to “invade” Rafah and pressuring him to allow more “humanitarian aid” into Gaza. But already the White House is preparing the ground to subvert its own messaging. It insists that Israel has offered an “extraordinarily generous” deal to Hamas – one that, Washington suggests, amounts to a ceasefire. It doesn’t. According to reports, the best Israel has offered is an undefined “period of sustained calm”. Even that promise can’t be trusted.

Is US Imperialism Maneuvering Toward ‘Humanitarian Intervention’ In Burkina Faso?

Western NGOs like Human Rights Watch (HRW) and Western state-funded news outlets such as the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) and Voice of America (VOA) are not merely consistent in siding with imperialism. They are extensions of it. This must be kept in mind when attempting to understand why the African nation Burkina Faso suspended the radio broadcasts of BBC Africa and VOA for two weeks over their coverage of an HRW report. On April 27, 2024, Burkina Faso’s Communications Minister, Rimtalba Jean Emmanuel Ouedraog issued a statement that said...

For The Defense Of The Alliance Of Sahel States, Revolutionary Pan-Africanism

In 2011, Africa suffered a devastating blow with the collapse of the socialist Libyan Jamahiriya and the assassination of a great son of Africa, Comrade Muammar Gaddafi, at the hands of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO), in complicity with corrupt Africans. To the collective west, Gaddafi's crime was that he wished for a truly independent and sovereign Africa. In 2009, as Chairman of the African Union, Gaddafi suggested the creation of an independent continental currency, the gold dinar. This would free the continent from its economic subservience to the US dollar and the French African Franc (CFA).
