Why The SanctionsKill Campaign Supports BDS

The SanctionsKill campaign was formed in 2019 to raise awareness of the human cost of the “sanctions”—actually economic coercive measures—imposed by the United States and its allies on over 40 countries, in which one-third of humanity lives. Our coalition of grassroots activists has exposed the suffering and death caused to populations targeted with these measures, particularly among children, the elderly, and people with health conditions. We also strongly support the boycott, divestment, and sanctions (BDS) movement advanced by Palestinian civil society as a legitimate way for grassroots activists around the world to pressure the settler-colonial state of Israel to comply with international law and recognize the Palestinian people’s inalienable right to self-determination.

People’s Arms Embargo Campaign: No Weapons From Oakland To Israel

The Palestinian Youth Movement (PYM), Arab Resource and Organizing Center Action (AROC Action), and the US Palestinian Community Network (USPCN) have partnered together to call for an end to all shipments of military cargo from ports of Oakland to Israel and to demand an Oakland Arms Embargo on Israel. Breaking research has uncovered Oakland's hidden and central role in transporting military cargo to the Israeli military. Shipments have been sent from Oakland to Israel multiple times per week, almost every single week this year. The fact that shipments of F-35 fighter jet components are flowing through the Oakland airport to the Israeli military has been concealed from the people of Oakland, our workers, our city officials, our families, and our educators. Together, we are launching a broad based coalition to demand an end to Oakland’s participation in genocide.

The Peoples Conference For Palestine: Another Step Forward

The well-organized Palestine conference in Detroit brought over 4600 there, with a heavy Palestinian presence. Most of the speakers in the plenaries were genuine Palestinian activists tested in battle, not well-known writers or professors. The over 270 journalists who have been targeted and murdered for informing the world of the endless US-Israeli slaughter of civilians were honored throughout the three days that included over 20 sessions and plenaries, exhibits, including Palestinian cultural performances, a grand vendor fair and art exhibits.  It was made clear that Israel is the US garrison state in the Middle East, out to break the Palestinian people’s resistance.

‘We Will Not Be Silent’: Hearing Stilled Voices Of The Gaza Genocide

In his last minutes of freedom before the Israeli army arrested him, Dr. Hussam Abu Safiya, clad in a medic’s white coat, walked alone toward two Israeli tanks. His captors awaited him amid the rubble of Gaza’s Kamal Adwan hospital. An artist swiftly created a dramatic poster showing Dr. Safiya striding through the ruins of the hospital he directed. The artist, David Solnit, recently updated the poster’s caption. It now reads: Free Dr. Abu Safiya, Eight months in prison Dec. 27, 2024 – August 27, 2025. Dr. Safiya had already endured agonizing losses at the Kamal Adwan hospital. In late October 2024, an Israeli drone attack killed his son, also a doctor.

Gaza Aid Whistleblower Arrested For Interrupting Senate Hearing

Two United States military veterans, including a Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF) whistleblower, were arrested for interrupting a Senate Foreign Affairs Committee hearing. They said “the U.S. government is complicit” in the Israeli government’s genocide in Gaza and were quickly removed by U.S. Capitol police. GHF whistleblower Anthony Aguilar stood up. “You have an obligation to the Constitution of the United States.” Former U.S. Army intelligence analyst Josephine Guilbeau also spoke up. “Israel is ethnically cleansing Gaza. They’re building a concentration camp!” Senate Foreign Affairs Committee Chairman James Risch declared, “Off to jail,” and when he hear Guilbeau, “Someone else is anxious to go to jail.”

Brooklyn Activists And Residents Are Banding Together Against Genocide

Most New Yorkers are not aware that companies contributing to Israel’s genocide in Gaza operate in their backyard. That is, unless they happen to walk, bike, or drive down Flushing Avenue outside the Brooklyn Navy Yard on a Wednesday afternoon, as I did a month ago—in which case, they are absolutely aware. The campaign Demilitarize Brooklyn Navy Yard (DBNY) organizes weekly noise demos and pickets, demanding the eviction of two companies from the city-owned industrial park on the East River, where 550 businesses are located. Protestors bang drums, blare airhorns, picket, chalk sidewalks, fold zines, and hand out flyers reading: “MEET YOUR NEIGHBORS, EASY AERIAL & CRYE PRECISION, LOCAL WEAPONS MANUFACTURERS IN OUR BACKYARDS.”

Washington Sanctions Palestinian Rights Groups For Aiding ICC

The US has imposed sanctions on three Palestinian human rights organizations that previously petitioned the International Criminal Court (ICC) to investigate Israel for war crimes in Gaza. “Today, the Trump Administration is sanctioning three NGOs – Al Haq, Al Mezan, and the Palestinian Centre for Human Rights – for assisting in the ICC's illegitimate actions against Israel. The United States will continue to protect our own sovereignty and the sovereignty of our allies from the ICC's overreach,” US Secretary of State Marco Rubio wrote on Thursday evening on X. The announcement first appeared as a notice on the US Treasury Department's website on Thursday. In November 2023, the organizations requested that the ICC investigate Israel for war crimes in response to its actions in Gaza, including carrying out airstrikes on heavily populated civilian areas, imposing a complete siege to cut off food, water, and electricity to the civilian population, and causing the mass displacement of residents.

Gaza Tribunal Launches To Expose Britain’s Role In Genocide

The Gaza Tribunal was launched in London on September 4, 2025, to expose the British government’s role in Israeli war crimes in the Gaza Strip. It follows a bill presented earlier this year by independent MP Jeremy Corbyn, calling for a formal inquiry but was ultimately blocked by Keir Starmer’s government in July. Since October 2023, numerous reports have documented British complicity in the genocide in Gaza. They range from warnings over ongoing exports of F-35 jet parts used to bomb schools and hospitals, to accounts of intelligence shared with the Israeli occupation that facilitated attacks on civilian infrastructure. These revelations have sparked regular mobilizations, with thousands demanding accountability from the government and an end to the genocide.

Xi Jinping Proposes A New Global Governance Framework At SCO Summit

The 25th Heads of State Summit of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) concluded in Tianjin, China, on Monday, September 1, with the adoption of the Tianjin declaration, which calls for a peaceful and equitable global governance and increased South-South cooperation. The summit highlighted the “fluid and chaotic global situation” created due to the unilateral actions of some countries in the West. It noted that the fast changing global scenario has a profound effect on all aspects of life. In this context, the SCO adopted a strategy for the development of the block in the next 10 years, reiterating its faith in international law and the UN charter.

Palestinian And Global Civil Society Call For Global Actions September 18

On September 2, 2025, the Palestinian NGO Network (PNGO), which represents 150 Palestinian-led member organizations in Gaza and the West Bank, issued a Call for a Global Day of Action and Strike September 18th, 2025, endorsed by major grassroots organizations representing hundreds of millions of people around the globe (see PNGO’s Call for a full list of initial endorsers). This September 18 marks the deadline given by the UNGA in Resolution A/ES-10/L.31 for Israel to end its unlawful presence in the Occupied Palestinian Territory (OPT). The same resolution, which was issued September 18, 2024, also ordered Israel to immediately comply with the provisional measures in the genocide case at the International Court of Justice (ICJ).

Boston: People’s Hunger Strike In Solidarity With Palestine Begins

As the second year anniversary of Israel’s U.S-backed genocide approaches and the complete blockade to food, medicine and other humanitarian aid continues, the people of Gaza face forced end stage starvation. Our medical colleagues in Gaza are requiring IV fluids to get through the day due to their own malnutrition. Israel has announced a planned invasion of Gaza City and the forced relocation of Palestinians is imminent. Our colleagues in Palestine are now calling for an international hunger strike as a means of solidarity and a strategy to escalate political pressure to end the genocide. This is a response to that call, before it is too late.

‘It’s Up To All Of Us’: Doctor Shares Why He Is On Global Sumud Flotilla

I’m a doctor trained in the UK, and for most of the past decade I’ve worked on and off in the international medical humanitarian sector with various organizations. During that time, I’ve also maintained a strong interest in health justice and solidarity movements, and I’ve always followed the work of the People’s Health Movement (PHM). I foremost came to connect with the Global Sumud Flotilla, I guess, because I worked in Gaza during the genocide. I spent about two and a half months there as an emergency doctor, and what I witnessed made it very clear how limited humanitarianism and the liberal political order really are. It’s clear in Gaza, as it should be in many other parts of the world, that we can’t rely on existing political or legal systems to uphold justice, fairness, or equality. Unfortunately, that responsibility often falls to ordinary folks.

Yemen Confirms Prime Minister Killed In Israeli Strike On Sanaa

A Houthi official has vowed “vengeance” against Israel after the Yemeni group confirmed that an Israeli air strike earlier this week killed the prime minister of the Houthis’ government in the capital, Sanaa. Ahmed al-Rahawi was killed in a Thursday strike on Sanaa along with “several” other ministers, the Houthis said in a statement on Saturday. Al-Rahawi, who served as prime minister in areas of the divided country that the group controls, was targeted along with other members of the Houthi-led government during a workshop, the statement said. The Houthis did not specify how many other ministers were also killed in the Israeli attack.

Jewish Artists For Palestine Disrupt BBC Proms

On Friday 29 August 2025 Jewish Artists for Palestine disrupted the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra at the BBC Proms, silencing the orchestra, forcing the performance to restart and bringing the live broadcast on BBC Radio 3 to a halt. With this action we’ve sent a clear message: we reject Zionist funding, censorship and complicity in our cultural institutions. We also call out the BBC for their ongoing complicity and inability to acknowledge the genocide. As Jewish artists and cultural practitioners we are calling out and disrupting the BBC, Royal Albert Hall and Melbourne Symphony Orchestra’s complicity. We call upon all cultural workers to rise up in their own institutions, against Israel’s continued apartheid, genocide and ethnic cleansing in Palestine.

Workers’ Intifada Against Microsoft

As the United Nations’ world food crisis authority finally declared a famine in Gaza, direct action demonstrators protested war profiteer Microsoft, whose technology is used to aid the U.S./Israeli war, which is committing genocide in Gaza. After months of protests in Seattle, on Aug. 20 and 21 worker-led activists took the struggle to Microsoft’s vast campus in Redmond, Washington, where No Azure for Apartheid and Bilyad Seattle exposed Microsoft’s complicity. On Aug. 20, around 35 current and former Microsoft workers and solidarity activists set up a protest encampment on the East Campus Plaza of Microsoft. They claimed it as the Martyred Palestinian Children’s Plaza. They left when Microsoft asked them to leave, but returned the next day and declared their occupation is not going anywhere!
