US Protects Israel As Netanyahu Vows To ‘Take Over’ Gaza

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has admitted that Israel’s goal is to colonize Gaza. “We will take control of all the territory of the [Gaza] Strip”, Netanyahu pledged on 19 May. Israel had agreed to a ceasefire in January, but unilaterally violated the agreement in March and restarted its brutal war on Gaza. Donald Trump personally gave Israel the green light to break the truce, according to Israeli officials. Israel’s extreme-right Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich, a member of the Israeli security cabinet and Netanyahu ally, boasted that the IDF is “destroying everything left in the Gaza Strip”, and that “the army is leaving no stone unturned”, reported the top Israeli newspaper Haaretz.

Biden’s Fate And Israel’s Sadistic Revenge

On May 15, 2025, the European Hospital in Khan Younis, Gaza, the last facility there capable of providing cancer treatment, ceased operations. According to the Gaza Health Ministry, “Israel’s targeting of the hospital has made it impossible to provide medical care due to the danger posed to medical staff and patients.” The following day, May 16, Joseph R. Biden, 46th President of the United States, was diagnosed with an “aggressive” form of prostate cancer that had spread to his bones. Joe Biden is the person most responsible for the destruction of Gaza’s last cancer treatment center. His decision to give Israel a free hand in the ethnic cleansing of Gaza beginning in October 2023 led to the destruction of hospitals, homes, schools, and even the tent camps where victims had fled.

Airstrike On ‘Conscience’ Confirmed; Crew Evacuated

Malta – The Freedom Flotilla Coalition (FFC) announces two significant developments in the aftermath of the May 2 Israeli drone attack on the Conscience in international waters. Firstly, we are relieved to confirm that the remaining 12 crew members who remained stranded at sea have now safely returned to their home countries. After over two weeks of unjustifiable delay and denial of safe harbor, Maltese authorities finally permitted them to disembark and depart. These volunteers faced not only the trauma of unprovoked Israeli military strikes, but also the risk of further attacks while stranded. Their safe return is a testament to their courage, perseverance and steadfast commitment to challenging Israel’s illegal siege of Gaza.

Israeli Settlers Escalate Violence, Forced Displacement Across West Bank

The last few days have witnessed a dangerous escalation of violence, theft, and vandalism against Palestinians by illegal Israeli settlers in the occupied West Bank. Settlers attacked Palestinians in the Al-Auja Waterfall area in Jericho on 25 May for the third time in one day, as part of ongoing efforts to displace families who have lived in the area for decades and establish a new illegal settlement outpost. This came a day after settlers, under the protection of the Israeli army, cut off the water supply to the area. In the Salim plain east of the occupied city of Nablus, settlers also continued to set fire to wheat fields on Sunday, coinciding with separate attacks on Palestinian livestock herders in the northern Jordan Valley area.

Elias Rodriguez’s Murderous Gift To Israel

Days after the deed, we can only but wonder what are the thoughts now occupying the mind of 30-year-old Elias Rodriguez of Chicago. As he languishes in his jail cell contemplating life and fate, is he still satisfied that he did the right thing? Or has he awoken to the totality of what he now faces in consequence, up to and including a possible death sentence? With the murder of Israeli embassy staff members Yaron Lischinksy and Sarah Milgrim as they emerged from an event at the Capital Jewish Museum in Washington, what Rodriguez has done in truth is hand Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his supporters across America and beyond a most prized gift.

Activists Urge Spanish Government To Implement Arms Embargo On Israel

On Tuesday, May 20, a majority of representatives in the Spanish Parliament voted in favor of a motion calling for an arms embargo on Israel. Spearheaded by the progressive blocs Podemos, Sumar, and the Republican Left of Catalonia, everyone but the right-wing supported the motion – including Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez’s Socialist Workers’ Party (PSOE). While the news undoubtedly marks an important achievement for the months-long grassroots Palestine solidarity mobilizations in Europe and beyond, many activists caution against interpreting it as a decisive sign of Spain’s concrete commitment to halting the genocide in Gaza.

Graduating CUNY Law Students Walk Out Of Ceremony

Dozens of City University of New York (CUNY) law graduates walked out of their graduation ceremony on Thursday, May 22, in solidarity with Palestine and in protest of their administration’s repression of pro-Palestine protest activity. Students donning keffiyehs and sporting Palestinian flags walked out of the ceremony which took place in the Apollo Theater in Harlem, and rallied together a few blocks away at the monument to Adam Clayton Powell. “We’re walking out of our own commencement ceremony today in protest of CUNY law’s suppression of free speech, and the CUNY system’s investments in Israeli settler colonialism and genocide,” said CUNY law graduate Parima Kadikar at the Adam Clayton Powell monument.

Veterans And Allies Conduct 40-Day ‘Fast For Gaza’

New York, NY – Tomorrow, a coalition of military veterans, religious, and humanitarian organizations will begin a 40-day “Veterans & Allies Fast for Gaza,” with a news conference at 10:00 am ET, at the “Isaiah Wall” near the United Nations headquarters in New York City, moving to the U.S. Mission to the UN, where the fast will be conducted. The demands of the fast are 1) Full humanitarian aid to Gaza under UN authority and 2) No more U.S. weapons to Israel.  A representative number of people will fast from May 22 to June 30 in New York, with many others participating around the U.S. and beyond for as many days as they can. To date, 249 people have registered.

Students Demand: TU Berlin Cut Ties With Genocide-Enabling Institutions

Every university in Gaza has been reduced to rubble. Thousands of students and hundreds of educators have been killed. The genocide is nearing its final, most brutal phase. Meanwhile, Israeli universities continue to develop the weapons and ideologies that made all of it possible. And the Technical University of Berlin (TU Berlin) still refuses to sever ties, 8 months after being confronted with the undeniable proof. The call for an academic boycott of Israeli institutions is not merely symbolic. These institutions have never been neutral bystanders to state violence. They are engineers of it, embedded in the military-industrial complex, drafting demographic warfare strategies, justifying settler expansion, and persecuting Palestinian students and faculty.

Britain, France, and Canada Threaten Israel If Gaza War Is Not Halted

Britain, France and Canada issued a statement on Monday, demanding that the Israeli government of Benjamin Netanyahu cease its military campaign against the people of Gaza and halt its months-long blockade of food and medical aid, which has left the Strip on the verge of widespread famine. The three threatened Tel Aviv with “concrete steps” should it fail to do as they insist. The three NATO powers went further than a 22-nation petition to Israel to halt its food and aid blockade issued on Monday, which they also signed. The other 19 countries apparently declined to go so far as to demand an end to the war, as well.

Wall Street, Zionists, And Ex-CIA Operatives Take Over Gaza Relief

With over half a million people in Gaza on the brink of starvation and aid groups warning of an “imminent famine,” Israel has agreed to allow a token number of relief trucks into the besieged enclave. But what’s entering Gaza now isn’t humanitarian aid, it’s a Trojan horse. A new, U.S.-backed private aid scheme staffed by former CIA operatives, ex-Marines, and mercenaries tied to Israeli intelligence and Wall Street elites has been deployed in Gaza under the guise of relief. The project is led by a shady NGO registered in Switzerland just months ago, and human rights groups are calling it what it is: a hostile corporate takeover of the aid sector, designed to militarize relief, displace civilians, and profit from Gaza’s agony.

Civil Society Groups Call For Diplomatic Convoy To Get Aid Into Gaza

As Israeli leaders were split over a plan to allow a "minimal" amount of aid into Gaza on Monday, Palestinian and global civil society groups issued a call for an international humanitarian mission that would go much further in fighting the looming famine across the enclave. With the World Food Program and the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East having "exhausted their reserves," more than 750 international groups joined "Unified Call to Confront Famine" and ensure the blockade stopping more than 3,000 food aid trucks and 116,000 metric tons of food are allowed into the enclave.

Israel To Allow ‘Basic Quantity’ Of Aid Into Gaza After Total Blockade

The Israeli government has approved the entry of “basic” amounts of aid into Gaza following three months of total blockade that has significantly compounded the humanitarian crisis in the strip, coinciding with the start of Tel Aviv’s new military operation. The office of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced on 19 May that the flow of aid is being renewed “at the recommendation of the IDF and due to the operational need to enable the expansion of intense fighting to defeat Hamas.” Netanyahu’s office added that Israel “will allow the entry of a basic quantity of food for the population in order to prevent the development of a hunger crisis in the Gaza Strip,” given that such a crisis “would endanger the continued operation to defeat Hamas.”

Chris Hedges: The New Dark Age

Cairo, Egypt — It is 200 miles from where I am in Cairo to the Rafah border crossing into Gaza. Parked in the arid sands in the northern Sinai of Egypt are 2,000 trucks filled with sacks of flour, water tanks, canned food, medical supplies, tarps and fuel. The trucks idle under the scorching sun with temperatures climbing into the high 90s. A few miles away in Gaza, dozens of men, women and children, living in crude tents or damaged buildings amid the rubble, are being butchered daily from bullets, bombs, missile strikes, tank shells, infectious diseases and that most ancient weapon of siege warfare — starvation. One in five people are facing starvation after nearly three months of Israel’s blockade of food and humanitarian aid.

Israel Just Launched Its Offensive To Permanently ‘Conquer’ Gaza

Massive explosions shook the Gaza Strip in the first hours of Saturday morning as Israeli warplanes launched intensive airstrikes on north, south, and central Gaza, in what the Israeli army called “preparations to expand operations” in the Strip. Israeli airstrikes hit Khan Younis, Deir al-Balah, several parts of Gaza City, and Jabalia. A resident of the Shati’ refugee camp in Gaza City told Mondoweiss that “the occupation army had issued orders to evacuate Shati’ camp, but they called off the orders — and then they called for an evacuation again, keeping residents in constant anxiety.” “Then, yesterday night, they began bombing all over Gaza, including Shati’ camp,” the Shati’ resident added. “It lasted all night.”
