Palestine Action Sh*t – Quite Literally – On Elbit’s Drone Operations

In a co-ordinated pair of actions striking at the operations in Britain of Israel’s largest weapons company, Palestine Action have shut down operations at Elbit Systems’ Leicester drone factory and are occupying Elbit’s Bristol insurers.Returning to the Leicester site once again after years of occupations, blockades, and disruption, two activists have today delivered a truckload of manure and scrap furniture to the factory gates and secured themselves inside the vehicle. The pile of excrement and ongoing obstruction is serving to blockade the site, halting operations as all access is prevented. The ‘UAV Tactical Systems’ (U-TacS) plant, which is a major exporter of military drones to Israel, has thus been forced shut.

To Columbia—an institution that laid the groundwork for my abduction—and to its student body, who must not abdicate their responsibility to resist repression, Since my abduction on March 8, the intimidation and kidnapping of international students who stand for Palestine has only accelerated. On March 9, Yunseo Chung had to file a lawsuit and eventually seek a court order barring U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement from detaining her for her protest activity. On March 11, Ranjani Srinivasan chose to cross the border to Canada upon the belief that this university was ready to hand her over to ICE.

On April 5, protesters will converge on Washington to hold a massive march in support of Palestine. The President has changed since the last big event in DC, but many of the demands have not. Activists are calling on the United States government to stop bankrolling the genocide in Gaza and sever ties from apartheid Israel. The additional element this time around is the Trump administration’s vast deportation program, which has targeted multiple university students for participating in protests. “This movement is made of students, workers, teachers, artists, activists, healthcare workers, tech workers and people of conscience all over the world who will not back down in the face of repression and intimidation, and will never back down so long as Gaza is under attack,” reads a statement on the march’s website.

Quakers Descend On Metropolitan Police Headquarters

A silent Quaker Meeting was held outside New Scotland Yard on Thursday 3 April, to bear witness to the police raid on Westminster Meeting House last week in which six Youth Demand activists were arrested. Since the raid, Youth Demand have also remained resilient, holding an open-air meeting which was disrupted by the far right. Hundreds of Quakers, politicians, and others stood in silence for forty minutes as traffic rattled past on busy Victoria Embankment, with 25 other silent meetings held nationwide and online. The move sparked widespread criticism, with constituents expressing concerns about heavy-handed policing to their MPs.

We Demand Change Summit Charts Resistance To Labour Austerity

More than 2,000 people joined the We Demand Change summit in London on March 29, taking a stand against the anti-people agenda of Keir Starmer’s Labour Party, as well as the racism and warmongering embedded across Britain’s mainstream political landscape. Organized by groups including the Peace and Justice Project, the Stop the War Coalition, and several trade unions, the summit was described as the beginning of a national resistance-building effort, with local meetings to follow. “The government and the employers tell us that they can’t afford decent pay or afford to fund our schools and hospitals but when it comes to wars, there is a bottomless pit,” reads the summit’s statement.

While political prisoner and Palestine activist Mahmoud Khalil remains in ICE detention in Louisiana, his lawyers are fighting for his freedom in New Jersey. On Friday, March 28 they were in Newark to argue for Khalil’s upcoming immigration hearing to take place in New Jersey, rather than Louisiana where a judge is more likely to go along with the Trump administration’s political persecution of Khalil. While Khalil’s legal team advocated for him in the district courthouse, hundreds of supporters rallied outside chanting, “We want justice, you say how? Release Mahmoud right now!” and “Up up with liberation, down down with occupation!”

Germany Issues Deportation Orders Against US, EU Citizens Over Pro-Palestine Activism

German authorities are seeking to deport four foreign nationals, including three EU citizens, over their alleged involvement in pro-Palestinian protests in Berlin, a move that has sparked significant legal and civil rights concerns, 972 Magazine and The Intercept reported on 1 April. The individuals – Cooper Longbottom (US), Kasia Wlaszczyk (Poland), Shane O’Brien, and Roberta Murray (both Ireland) – have not been convicted of any crimes. However, they face expulsion orders under German migration law, citing vague accusations linked to demonstrations against Israel’s genocide against Palestinians in Gaza.

Not only that, there has also been an incredible resurgence of the Jewish left, as Jewish Palestine solidarity organizations, such as IfNotNow and Jewish Voice for Peace, organize a growing contingent of young Jews for an end to the genocide in Gaza. As Israel violates its ceasefire agreement and commences an aggressive bargaining campaign, one that killed 400 people in the first night, this movement is only going to grow as the world collectively reckons with the destruction that has been caused.

Meanwhile, in the United States, Trump and his immigration authorities are rounding up and detaining student organizers for standing in solidarity with Palestine. Student activists such as Mahmoud Khalil and Rumeysa Ozturk have been violently abducted by ICE in front of their families and communities for registering their peaceful opposition to genocide. Rather than having a chilling effect on the movement for Palestine, however, these ICE kidnappings have actually had the opposite impact: more have taken to the streets in support of Palestine than ever since Trump’s election.

On March 19, 2025, Momodou Taal was supposed to walk into a federal courtroom for the first hearing of his lawsuit against the Trump administration and the Department of Homeland Security (DHS). The landmark case would put a temporary hold on the rampant deportations we’ve seen in the last month of foreign students who have spoken out in support of Palestinians against U.S.-funded Israeli genocide. However a day before the case was supposed to begin in court, DHS issued a deportation order for Taal. The deportation order, which appeared to come in direct retaliation for his outspoken support for Palestine and his participation in campus protests, escalated his case to a critical level while garnering national attention.

Nationwide Protests In India Condemn Israel’s Crimes

Progressive groups in India held a national day of protest against Israel’s grave violations of the ceasefire in Gaza. The protestors also demanded the Indian government take a more assertive stand on the issue and stop indirectly aiding Israel’s criminal activities. The day of action was organized by the Palestine Solidarity Organization, a platform with participation from most of the left parties as well as student, women, and trade union organizations. The central protest was organized in New Delhi where participants carried posters and banners denouncing Israel’s continued genocide in Gaza.

The US aggression was launched on the order of President Donald Trump, who announced via his Truth Social account on Saturday, that it aimed at “protecting US shipping, air, and naval assets and to restore navigation freedom” from Ansar Allah’s attacks. “Our brave Warfighters are right now carrying out aerial attacks on the terrorists’ bases, leaders, and missile defenses to protect American shipping, air, and naval assets, and to restore Navigational Freedom,” Trump’s post reads.

In January, Gaza took its first tenuous breath of stillness in more than a year. It is a moment of clarity, a reminder that our work is far from done. 60 Universities Under Investigation Over Pro-Palestine Sentiments

The US Department of Education’s Office of Civil Rights (OCR) said it is investigating 60 universities for anti-Semitism, and that they are receiving warnings due to allegedly not protecting Jewish students during mass anti-Israel rallies in American universities and colleges. “The Department is deeply disappointed that Jewish students studying on elite US campuses continue to fear for their safety amid the relentless anti-Semitic eruptions that have severely disrupted campus life for more than a year. University leaders must do better,” said Education Secretary Linda McMahon.
