Paramount ‘Blacklisting’ Hollywood Figures Critical Of Gaza Genocide

Paramount Studios, led by new CEO David Ellison, has created an internal blacklist targeting Hollywood figures it considers “anti-Semitic,” Variety reported on 4 November. The move follows a broader campaign by the studio to distance itself from growing industry criticism of Israel’s genocide in Gaza. David Ellison, son of Oracle billionaire Larry Ellison, assumed control of the Hollywood studio in October following an $8bn merger with Skydance. Larry Ellison, a close ally of wanted war criminal Benjamin Netanyahu and the largest individual donor to the Israeli army, has long aligned his company’s operations with US and Israeli security priorities, pledging Oracle’s cloud and cybersecurity infrastructure to support Israel after the start of its genocide in Gaza.

Maccabi’s Birmingham Match Met With Protests

Protests took place in Birmingham on Thursday, November 6 as local football club Aston Villa faced Israel’s Maccabi Tel Aviv. The match took place after authorities banned visiting supporters over security concerns. Palestine solidarity groups and anti-racist organizations called for the match to be fully canceled, citing the violent record of Maccabi supporters and the club’s support for Israel’s genocide in Gaza. “Allowing football clubs from a state committing genocide and implementing apartheid to compete in international competitions normalizes its atrocities, and sends the signal that there are no consequences for them,” the Palestine Solidarity Campaign (PSC) stated ahead of the match.

EU Movement Strengthens Call To Boycott Israeli Pharmaceutical Company

Israeli pharmaceutical giant Teva is facing mounting pressure from Palestine solidarity groups across Europe. One of Israel’s largest drugs manufacturers and a major global producer of generic medicines, Teva has actively supported the genocide in the Gaza Strip since October 2023 and contributed to the erosion of Palestinian healthcare long before that, Giorgia Gusciglio, Europe Coordinator for Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions (BDS) Campaigns at the Palestinian BDS National Committee, told People’s Health Dispatch.

Maryland Workers Fight To Divest Their Pensions From Israel’s Genocide

On a cold, sunny morning in October, Grace Smith, a 42-year-old Baltimore County middle school teacher, arrived at the annual statewide teachers union convention in Ocean City, Maryland, with two fellow educators and a folder full of zines. Their mission: talk to as many teachers as possible about Maryland’s pension investments in Israel and hand out every copy they’d brought. Smith estimated that they spoke to dozens of educators and distributed over 200 zines. The response, she said, was overwhelmingly positive. “Everyone I talked to was glad to hear about it,” she said. “They didn’t know about it — and they were pissed.”

Legal Groups Sue Administration Over Use Of Israeli Spyware

Civil rights attorneys are suing the Trump administration to force the release of records detailing whether federal immigration agencies are using sophisticated Israeli spyware to track, monitor, and target immigrants and activists across the country. The lawsuit, filed on Oct. 30 in federal court by Just Futures Law and the Center for Constitutional Rights, demands that Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) comply with Freedom of Information Act requests related to their contracts with tech companies Cellebrite and Paragon Solutions. Both companies have been linked to government surveillance of journalists, human rights defenders, and protesters around the world.

Washington Confirms Boycott Of UN Human Rights Review

The US confirmed on 7 November that it will not participate in the upcoming review of its human rights performance before the UN Human Rights Council. The US mission in Geneva confirmed this week that the US's seat will remain empty during the Universal Periodic Review of its rights record, which is scheduled to take place on Friday afternoon. All 193 UN member states are required to undergo the standard review of their rights record every four to five years. Each country then receives recommendations from other member states on compliance. The US will become only the second country to boycott the UN review.

Hind Rajab Foundation Takes Aim At European Investment Bank

The Hind Rajab Foundation’s (HRF) complaint against the European Investment Bank (EIB) for alleged complicity in Israeli war crimes has advanced to a formal assessment phase within the bank’s Complaints Mechanism (EIB-CM), Anadolu Agency reported on 4 November. HRF said the step is not merely procedural but represents “a political and legal milestone” and “a turning point,” forcing a European institution to reckon with its role in grave breaches of international law.  The group described it as one of the first legal actions within the European Union that directly challenges the financial complicity of an EU institution in Israeli war crimes.

Exposing The Tata Group: Major Sponsor Of New York Marathon

On Sunday, hundreds of thousands of runners and spectators from around the world gathered in New York City to celebrate endurance, achievement, and community. Yet, this bright imagery masks the grim reality of the marathon’s title sponsor, Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), a company complicit in the genocide of the Palestinian people. In the weeks leading up to the largest marathon in the world, the “TCS” logo has become ubiquitous across the five boroughs. From special-edition New Balance “TCS Marathon” shoes that light up Times Square, to TCS-branded half-zips donned by every other runner in Prospect Park, reminders of the upcoming race are everywhere.

YouTube Deletes Hundreds Of Videos Documenting Israeli War Crimes

YouTube, owned by Google LLC, has deleted more than 700 videos documenting Israeli human rights violations, citing compliance with US sanctions imposed on Palestinian human rights groups cooperating with the International Criminal Court (ICC), according to an investigation by The Intercept published on 5 November. The investigation revealed that the videos were removed after US President Donald Trump's administration sanctioned three Palestinian organizations over their work with the ICC on war crimes cases against Israeli leaders.

How Eighty Years Of US Aggression Finally Broke Syria And Why

The Syrian government under Bashar Al-Assad was so successfully demonized by Western imperialist media and governments that many celebrated when Assad was overthrown last December, even though the new puppet government was led by the extremist Al Nusra Front, an Al Qaeda terrorist group. Now, Syria is balkanized and the government is implementing forced displacement and ethnic cleansing. Clearing the FOG speaks with Dan Kovalik, co-author with Jeremy Kuzmarov of "Syria: Anatomy of Regime Change," about the long history of US interference in Syria, dating back to the 1946 coup, how the recent coup appeared to happen so rapidly and the current situation in Syria, as well as the impact of these events on the region.

Terms Of Surrender: The Conspiracy To Obstruct Justice In Palestine

In the wake of two years of the globally broadcast extermination of the people of Palestine, three distinct tracks of international response have emerged. One is grounded in justice, international law, human rights, and accountability. Two others are dedicated to impunity, the continued subjugation of the victims, and the normalization of the perpetrator regime. In the diplomatic struggle that has ensued, the justice track is under sustained attack. Left to their own devices, most states — the directly complicit and the timid alike — will undoubtedly take the easy way out, opting for impunity and normalization. But a growing people’s movement from across the globe is mobilized to demand justice.

Trump Failed To Pressure Countries To Support Illegal Blockade Of Cuba

A study by the firm Reputation Lab polled people in 60 major countries, and found that the United States has a very bad reputation. The US ranking fell from what was already a low rank of 30 out of 60 in 2024 to an even worse 48th place in 2025. A clear demonstration of the political isolation of the US government can be seen in votes at the United Nations. The vast majority of countries on Earth voted at the UN General Assembly on 29 October to demand an end to the illegal US blockade of Cuba, which has been maintained in blatant violation of international law for more than six decades. 165 countries, representing 85.5% of the UN’s 193 member states, voted in support of a resolution that emphasized the “necessity of ending the economic, commercial and financial embargo imposed by the United States of America against Cuba”.

16-Year-Old US Citizen Mohammed Ibrahim Abducted By Israel

On February 16, 2025, more than two-dozen heavily-armed Israeli soldiers broke in and kidnapped Mohammed from his family home in the middle of the night. The soldiers blindfolded him and tied his arms behind his back. At the time, Mohammed was just 15 years old. While in captivity, he turned 16 and has been forced to endure inhumane conditions, which he described in vivid detail a week ago when Israel finally granted him contact with the outside world. Mohammed’s family and community are worried sick. Israel hasn’t allowed them to speak to or visit him since his abduction. They miss Mohammed dearly and are devastated that the United States isn’t doing more to secure his release and safe return home.

How Mass Haredi Opposition Could Reshape Israel

The massive rally of the Haredi community in Israel on Thursday was not merely another episode in the long-running conflict between secular and religious Israelis.  It revealed something deeper: a tectonic shift driven by dramatic demographic change, internal fractures within the Haredi community, and the unravelling of a political bargain that for decades linked the state’s ruling coalitions to Haredi parties. For decades, the political architecture that sustained Haredi political power rested on a simple transactional logic: in return for predictable Knesset support, Haredi parties secured budgets, institutional autonomy, and protections for religious life.  Under Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s long tenure, that arrangement - fed by growing state resources and generous allocations to Haredi education and social systems - became entrenched.

The US And Israel: Tale Of Two Rogue Settler-Colonial States

Over the last two weeks, images of starving Palestinians in a dystopian backdrop of bombed out buildings reflect the horrific reality of a terrain that has experienced the equivalent of six Hiroshima atomic bombs. It is a reminder that the genocide in Gaza continues even as the pathetic zealous characters surrounding the U.S. President spoke of a ceasefire, an end to the assault on Gaza, and Trump as the peace president. That cynical game was finally brought to an end with the unsurprising announcement by Benjamin Netanyahu, the indicted war criminal and Prime Minister of the ethno-supremacist apartheid state of Israel, that Israel will resume the bombing of the occupied Palestinian people.
