US Extrajudicial Strikes Kill 14 In Pacific Off The Coast Of Mexico

A total of 14 people were killed and one survived after the US government conducted three strikes against four small boats in the waters of the Eastern Pacific near Mexico, in what is being described as another extrajudicial killing. The information was released Tuesday morning by US Secretary of War Pete Hegseth, who claimed on social media that “three lethal kinetic attacks were carried out against four vessels operated by Designated Terrorist Organizations … A total of 14 narcoterrorists died during the three attacks.” Hegseth claimed that the first attack killed eight people on board two boats, the second killed four men, and the third killed two people. He also claimed that there is one survivor. While writing that “there were no casualties among the US forces,” Hegseth confirmed that the US government had ordered further extrajudicial executions, in flagrant violation of international and US laws.

Interview With Katya Schwenk On AI Surveillance Pricing

ou go to buy a ticket for a flight; you think the price is the price, but, in fact, the airline is using lots of available information about you to present the highest price they think you will pay. Yes, airlines have always tweaked prices based on status or frequency of flying, but this is different. This is companies using information you didn’t share with them, determining what they, openly among themselves, call your “pain point,” the maximum you will spend before you say, “OK, I just won’t see my mother this year.” Some insist this is just the market at work, but what can we do if we decide it’s actually an instance of using technology to do something because it can, without adequate consideration of whether it should?

UAE Funnels British Weapons To Sudan Militia Committing Genocide

UK weapons and military equipment supplied by the UAE to the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) are being spotted on the Sudanese battlefield, according to a 28 October report by The Guardian. The report cites two dossiers of documents, which have reportedly been seen by the UN Security Council. Small-arms target systems and personnel carrier engines made by London are among the equipment being found in Sudan, the report says. The report has also highlighted the UK’s role in fueling the Sudan conflict. “Months after the UN Security Council first received material alleging that the UAE may have supplied British-made items to the RSF, new data indicates that the British government went on to approve further exports to the Gulf state for military equipment of the same type,” The Guardian notes.

Trump’s 2025 Venezuela Escalation Is A Sham For Oil

On October 16, 2025, Donald Trump’s second term ignited a reckless campaign against Venezuela, greenlighting covert CIA operations, deploying 4,000 Marines and F-35 jets to the Caribbean, and launching strikes on Venezuelan vessels that have killed more than 27 people—all framed as a fight against drugs and migration. This is no noble mission: It is a recycled imperial plot to seize the world’s largest oil reserves, draped in fabricated threats. The U.S. narrative paints Nicolás Maduro as the mastermind of gangs like Tren de Aragua (TdA), but the CIA’s history of enabling criminal networks tells a different story.

Trump, Russian Oil And Tomahawk Missiles

U.S. President Donald Trump has seemingly shifted gear in the U.S. strategy to stop Russia on its tracks from creating new facts on the ground in Ukraine. Russian forces have the upper hand all along the 1250-kilometer Ukrainian frontline stretching Kiev’s defences and resources, which no amount of Western military help can hope to reverse in a foreseeable future. Trump is compelling Russia to seek a military victory in Ukraine. Trump so far put on the air of a statesman in great anguish over the humanitarian aspects of the conflict. Moscow tolerated the theatrical show to pamper Trump’s egoistic personality — that is, until Russian President Vladimir Putin shattered the myth to expose that Trump actually holds the record as the American president who sanctioned Russia the most number of times, exceeding even his predecessor Joe Biden’s tally.

Understanding The Changes Unseen In A Century

General Secretary Xi Jinping has observed several times that “the world is undergoing profound changes unseen in a century”. What are these changes, and what are their implications for the current global situation? Before addressing the changes the world is experiencing today, it is worthwhile reflecting on the major changes that occurred a century ago, since the dramatic shifts of that time laid the foundations for the transformations we are witnessing now. The October Revolution of 1917 was a watershed moment marking the beginning of humanity’s transition from capitalism to socialism.

Germany Is Sabotaging Its Relations With China

The visit of German Chancellor Helmut Schmidt to Beijing 50 years ago was a visit that lifted German-Chinese relations to a completely new level. On 31 October 1975, Schmidt met the Chinese head of state Mao Zedong. In preparation he had read Mao’s poems. It was the first visit of a German chancellor to China. Schmidt remained someone who, throughout his life, wanted to break with the colonial past of the West in China, and advocated relations on equal footing and with mutual respect. For example, in his discussion of the book The Governance of China by Chinese President Xi Jinping, he called on the West to replace arrogance with fair competition in its relationship with China.

Hi-Tech Holocaust: How Microsoft Aids The Gaza Genocide

Israel’s genocide is being powered by Microsoft. From creating a massive digital dragnet, aiding in the production of A.I.-generated kill lists, hiring hundreds of Israeli spies to run its internal affairs, and suppressing figures opposing the slaughter, the Seattle-based tech corporation has played a key role in the violence. MintPress has detailed the deep collaboration between the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) and Amazon, Google, TikTok, Apple, Palantir, and Oracle, but Microsoft’s relationship with the government and armed forces of Israel is potentially the closest, leading then-CEO Steve Ballmer to state that “Microsoft is as much an Israeli company as an American company.”

US Investigator Confirms Government Cover Up Of Shireen Abu Aqla’s Murder

A former US military policeman who investigated the killing of US-Palestinian journalist Shireen Abu Aqla says an Israeli soldier deliberately shot her, but his superiors at the State Department changed the conclusions of his report to claim the killing was unintentional, the New York Times (NYT) reported on 27 October. Abu Aqla was shot and killed by an Israeli soldier in Jenin in the West Bank in May 2022 while reporting for Al Jazeera on clashes between the Israeli army and Palestinian resistance forces. Israel initially claimed that Palestinian fighters had killed Abu Aqla, but belatedly apologized for her death a full year later.

US Detains British Journalist During Tour After Israel Criticism

US authorities detained a British Muslim journalist on Sunday, apparently due to his criticism of Israel, according to the Council on American-Islamic Relations (Cair). Sami Hamdi was held by the Department of Homeland Security’s Immigration and Customs Enforcement (Ice) agency at San Francisco international airport during a speaking tour in the US. Hamdi had spoken at a Cair gala on Saturday in Sacramento, where he condemned Israel's genocide in Gaza. He was scheduled to speak at another Cair event in Florida on Sunday. Cair has described the detention as retaliation for Hamdi's criticism of Israel, calling it an "abduction". “Detaining a prominent British Muslim journalist and political commentator during his speaking tour in the United States simply for daring to criticise the Israeli government’s actions is a blatant attack on free speech,” the Washington-based Cair said in a statement.

Four Militias Backed By Israel, Arab States Plan ‘Project New Gaza’

Israel is backing four militias as part of a project to oust Hamas and create a “new Gaza,” according to a report released by Sky News on 25 October. These armed groups – which throughout the war have been engaged in hostilities against Hamas on behalf of Israel – are currently operating along the Yellow Line of Washington’s ceasefire map, in Israeli-held territory. "We have an official project - me, [Yasser] Abu Shabab, [Rami] Khalas, and [Ashraf] al Mansi," militia leader Hossam al-Astal, a Palestinian Bedouin with links to the Palestinian Authority (PA), told Sky News. "We are all for ‘The New Gaza.’ Soon we will achieve full control of the Gaza Strip and will gather under one umbrella,” he added. According to footage which was geolocated by Sky News, the headquarters of Astal’s militia in south Gaza’s Khan Yunis lies on a military road less than 700 meters from an Israeli army outpost.

Eviction By ICE?

Rodrick Johnson, 67, had just returned home from a trip to the hospital and was trying to get some rest. But in the early hours of September 30, bright lights suddenly flooded his apartment. A fleet of Black Hawk helicopters descended on his five-story building — a 130-unit apartment complex at 7500 South Shore Drive — shortly before armed, masked men stormed past the doors of the ground floor. “The next thing I knew, they were kicking my door in,” Johnson says. He and dozens of his neighbors were marched outside at gunpoint during the multiagency raid carried out by some 300 federal agents in Chicago’s South Shore neighborhood. Black and Latino residents were zip-tied, separated by race and detained inside cargo vans, as South Side Weekly reported in the raid’s aftermath.

Look Out For These Eight Big Ag Greenwashing Terms At COP30

Food and agriculture will be under the spotlight at the upcoming round of global climate negotiations in northern Brazil. Representatives from nearly every nation will gather from 6-21 November in Belém, a regional capital and gateway to the Amazon, with most countries far off target to deliver deep cuts to carbon emissions — the only way to halt the worst impacts of catastrophic climate change. Some food and climate groups hope this thirtieth annual Conference of the Parties (called COP30) summit can be a game changer for reforming food systems, which emit around a third of all a third of all greenhouse gases. After all, Brazil — which holds the presidency of COP30 — has a reputation for skilled diplomacy, and has made agriculture objective number three on the conference agenda.

US Deploys Aircraft Carrier And Threatens Invasion Of Venezuela

As the US continues to escalate threats and military pressure against Venezuela and now Colombia as well. On Friday, October 24, “Secretary of War” Pete Hegseth announced the deployment of aircraft carrier USS Gerald R. Ford (CVN-78), to the Caribbean. The most capable and lethal strike platform in the world adds to the already massive military buildup in the Caribbean of 10,000 US troops, at least eight war ships, P-8 surveillance planes, and F-35 jets deployed amid the Trump administration’s alleged counter-narcotics operations. US troops are also reportedly deploying to Trinidad and Tobago, mere miles from Venezuela, for five days of coordinated “military exercises”.

Large-Scale Israeli War On Lebanon ‘A Matter Of Time’

A large-scale Israeli military operation in Lebanon is imminent, according to European sources who spoke with Sky News Arabia on 24 October, describing it as “just a matter of time.” The report came as the Israeli army announced a series of military drills carried out recently, aimed at simulating an attack on Lebanon and various defense-related scenarios that could come with such a decision. According to the military, Israel's 91st Division – the "Galilee Division" – has completed the largest exercise since the beginning of the genocide in Gaza, aimed at “enhancing operational readiness” for military offensives along the border “by way of air, sea, and land.” Israel claimed these exercises are being carried out to prepare for a "range of scenarios," including reserve mobilization and force buildup.
