If you like the tactics being used, you can adapt them for your own struggle. Check out our Resources Page for links to tools that may be helpful in your resistance.
For one year, demonstrators at Palestine solidarity marches in the United States have been chanting “In November, we’ll remember.” With US presidential elections happening tomorrow, this promise could finally come to fruition.
Peoples Dispatch spoke to Dr. Hassan Abdel Salam, director of the Abandon Harris Campaign, which initially launched as Abandon Biden last year, in response to Biden’s refusal to call for a ceasefire. Although the US has since issued verbal support for its version of a ceasefire agreement, to this day the US government continues to provide the military support necessary for Israel to perpetuate this genocide, with no signs of stopping.

A group of academics, intellectuals, human rights advocates, and representatives from the media and civil society organizations gathered in London last week, the capital of the UK, to launch the symbolic “Gaza Tribunal," an independent initiative serving as a "court of humanity and conscience."
Led by Richard Falk, a distinguished international law expert and former UN special rapporteur on the occupied Palestinian territories, the tribunal is taking an alternative route to international justice, aiming to spotlight voices from civil society in the examination of abuses following the conflict that escalated after Hamas-led attacks on Israel on Oct. 7, 2023.
Palestine Action Targets Shareholders And Insurers Of Elbit
Palestine Action has upped the ante over UK-based companies propping up Israel’s ethnic cleansing and genocide in Gaza. This time, the group targeted two different companies – Allianz and BNY Mellon – from two different industries. But the common denominator was their support for the Zionist entity. First, following on from Palestine Action’s concerted actions on Allianz UK offices in October, activists made a return visit to the company’s Glasgow offices, at 58 Waterloo Street, over the weekend. Activists broke glass and sprayed the building red.

We’ve been fighting anti-protest bills across the country for years. This week, an assault on the right to protest came to our own backyard, aimed at restricting protests in residential neighborhoods. The bill comes as part of a nationwide wave of anti-protest legislation, with hundreds of bills introduced since 2017. Introduced as an “emergency measure,” Defending Rights & Dissent had 3 days to help pull together a coalition to stop the bill. We successfully brought legal and activist groups into a united front to mobilize against the bill.

Titled “Hands Off Sudan: End Western Complicity and Inaction,” this protest is a direct response to the silence surrounding one of the most gravest humanitarian crises of our time. The mobilisation aims to pressure the UK government to take accountability for its role in prolonging the conflict and to call out other international players, including the US, for their involvement in the atrocities.

The BBC has been accused of bias against Israel but here over 230 people, including 101 BBC journalists have argued that there is a strong bias towards Israel and certainly the Israeli narrative. The letter was sent to the Independent arguing that Broadcaster bias is failing to hold Israel to account.
It is noteworthy that only 72 of the 230 signatories felt able to sign openly and this included none of the BBC journalists. Distrust of mainstream media is growing but there is a real need for unbiased reporting. The BBC has previously claimed that the fact it receives complaints from those in support of Israel as well as those in support of Palestine shows its impartiality.

London-based journalist Asa Winstanley says when British counter-terrorism police raided his home on October 17 they asked which electronic devices were personal and which were used for journalism.
“I was very reluctant to do that because it seemed to me that by doing that I would almost set myself up,” Winstanley added during a Space hosted by Sulaiman Ahmed. “It’s a way of stopping me from doing my journalism, if they were going to take those devices away.”
But if Winstanley did not identify the devices that he used for journalism, the implicit threat was that they would “basically ransack the whole house.”

Russian news broadcasters are owed an unbelievable sum from US tech giant Google over their loss of access to YouTube, RBK news outlet reported, citing sources with knowledge of the matter. According to the report, the total amount Google owes the 17 Russian broadcasters has reached $20.6 decillion as of October 28.
The staggering figure stems from a host of lawsuits filed against Google, in which a number of Russian news channels accused it of unlawfully blocking their content on the video hosting platform.
In October 2022, the Moscow Arbitration Court ordered Google to restore YouTube access to the blocked Russian channels.
