Ecuador Votes To Reject Foreign Military Bases

The Donald Trump administration is trying to expand the presence of the US military across Latin America, in an attempt to forcibly impose Washington’s hegemony in the region. The people of Ecuador just delivered a major blow to Trump’s aggressive Latin America strategy. More than three-fifths of Ecuadorians voted to reject a change to their progressive constitution, which would have allowed the Pentagon to establish US military bases in their territory. Ecuador is currently governed by a right-wing president, Daniel Noboa, who is a key regional ally of Trump.

Machado Offers To Sell $1.7 Trillion Of Venezuela’s Assets To US Corporations

María Corina Machado is a far-right Venezuelan coup leader who has been funded by the US government since at least 2003. The Donald Trump administration is waging war on Venezuela, and if it can succeed in overthrowing the leftist government of President Nicolás Maduro, Machado would help to lead the new pro-US regime in Caracas. Machado won the 2025 Nobel Peace Prize, despite the fact that she openly supports Trump’s war on her country. She has for years called for a US military intervention to violently topple President Maduro.

Trump Failed To Pressure Countries To Support Illegal Blockade Of Cuba

A study by the firm Reputation Lab polled people in 60 major countries, and found that the United States has a very bad reputation. The US ranking fell from what was already a low rank of 30 out of 60 in 2024 to an even worse 48th place in 2025. A clear demonstration of the political isolation of the US government can be seen in votes at the United Nations. The vast majority of countries on Earth voted at the UN General Assembly on 29 October to demand an end to the illegal US blockade of Cuba, which has been maintained in blatant violation of international law for more than six decades. 165 countries, representing 85.5% of the UN’s 193 member states, voted in support of a resolution that emphasized the “necessity of ending the economic, commercial and financial embargo imposed by the United States of America against Cuba”.

The ‘Donroe Doctrine’: Trump’s Neocolonial Plan For Latin America

The US government has always meddled in Latin America’s internal affairs. This is far from new. The United States overthrew at least 41 governments in Latin America from 1898 to 1994, according to research by Columbia University historian John Coatsworth. In the past three decades, Washington has backed dozens more coups, coup attempts, regime-change operations, and “color revolutions” in the region. The US military has intervened in every single country in Latin America, according to data from the Congressional Research Service. (The only exception is French Guiana, which is a colony of France.) US imperialism has always been bipartisan in Washington, and has continued under both Republican and Democratic presidents.

Trump Orders CIA To Attack Venezuela

The United States is waging war on Venezuela. This is not a hypothetical; it is happening. The Donald Trump administration is using extreme violence to try to overthrow Venezuela’s President Nicolás Maduro. The US military has killed dozens of Venezuelans in strikes on boats in international waters without charge or trial. UN experts have publicly condemned these attacks as “extrajudicial executions” that violate international law. It is not only Venezuelans who have been executed by the US military. Among the victims of these illegal US attacks have been fishermen who were citizens of Colombia and Trinidad and Tobago.

Venezuelan Coup Leader Maria Corina Machado Vows To Privatize Oil

The 2025 Nobel Peace Prize was given to María Corina Machado, a far-right, pro-war Venezuelan opposition leader who has been funded by the US government for more than two decades. Machado has helped to lead numerous violent coup attempts in Venezuela, in 2002, 2014, 2017, 2019, and again today. She is now at the center of the US government’s regime-change war against Venezuela. In an interview with Donald Trump Jr. in February 2025, Machado made it clear that she wants to privatize Venezuela’s state-owned oil industry and sell off the South American nation’s natural resources to US corporations.

Trump Targets CODEPINK After Public Confrontation

Activists from the anti-war group CODEPINK confronted US President Donald Trump and his cabinet at a restaurant in Washington, DC on September 9. The disruption made national headlines and (evidently) sent the Trump administration into a frenzy. At the restaurant on September 9, peace activists got surprisingly close to Trump and cabinet members including Vice President JD Vance, Secretary of State Marco Rubio, and Secretary of War Pete Hegseth, shouting “Free DC, free Palestine, Trump is the Hitler of our time!” Trump appeared to react with visible frustration as he gestured for his security to remove the protesters, saying “Get them out of here.”

US Forces Destroy Small ‘Venezuelan’ Boat Allegedly Carrying Drugs

President Donald Trump claimed Tuesday that US troops deployed to the Caribbean attacked and destroyed a “drug ship” that had left Venezuela. “Just a few minutes ago, literally, we shot down a vessel that was carrying drugs, a large amount of drugs. You’ll see it and read about it. It just happened moments ago,” the US president said at a press conference in the Oval Office. He said he had just been briefed on the matter by the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, General Daniel “Razin” Caine. “We have a lot of drugs coming into our country, coming in for a long time, and they just came out of Venezuela… A lot of things are coming out of Venezuela, so we got rid of them,” Trump said.

Venezuelan Youth Train To ‘Defend The Homeland’ Amid US Escalation

The youth wing of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV) carried out “Basic Revolutionary Resistance Training” over the past week in the Venezuelan state La Guaira. On the evening of August 28, the youth participated in a 10 kilometer night march led by Secretary General of PSUV, Diosdado Cabello. The training took place amid rising tensions between Washington and Caracas. The situation flared up when the administration of US President Donald Trump reiterated accusations that the Venezuelan government plays a major role in drug trafficking, increasing the bounty on the head of President Nicolás Maduro, and at the same time deploying troops to the Caribbean to support the US “war on drugs”.

The Latest Chapter In The US Plunder Of CITGO

The auction of CITGO Petroleum, a key subsidiary of Petróleos de Venezuela (PDVSA) in the United States and illegally seized by the US government, is in its final stages, marking a crucial moment not only for Venezuela but also for other countries with investments in the US. According to recent reports, the judicial process, which will culminate in the illegal sale of Citgo, is continuing despite protests from President Nicolás Maduro’s government. The company, which owns strategic refineries in Texas, Louisiana, and Illinois, represents Venezuela’s most valuable asset outside its borders, with a significant pipeline network and more than 4,000 gas stations in the United States.

Israel’s War On Iran Was Made In USA

Israel has launched a major attack on Iran, which could escalate into a larger war. The United States is not just sitting on the sidelines, watching what is happening; the Donald Trump administration is directly involved. The US government oversaw the attack. Washington provided Tel Aviv with crucial intelligence, to help it kill top Iranian officials, with US weapons. Trump provided Israel with cover, by overseeing fake peace talks with Iran, which in reality were a cynical ruse. As US officials met with their Iranian counterparts to discuss a new nuclear deal (after Trump unilaterally tore up the previous one), Washington and Tel Aviv were secretly planning the operation.

Judge Blocks Trump From Continuing To Detain Mahmoud Khalil

A federal judge has ruled that the Trump administration cannot detain or deport Palestinian student activist Mahmoud Khalil based on Secretary of State Marco Rubio’s determination. New Jersey District Judge Michael E. Farbiarz’s preliminary injunction came in response to Khalil’s habeas corpus petition. The injunction is stayed until Friday morning, allowing the government’s lawyers time to appeal. In addition to granting the request, the court ruled that it was unconstitutional to detain or deport someone based on their political advocacy.

Washington Targets Achievements Of Cuba, Nicaragua, And Venezuela

“We look for the poorest patients,” the Cuban doctor in charge of the eye clinic said. “Often we travel to remote rural areas and bring them to the clinic in a bus.” The clinic, in Ciudad Sandino, Nicaragua, was part of Misión Milagro (Miracle Mission), run jointly by the Cuban and Venezuelan governments. The larger mission has treated over seven million patients in 33 countries since 2004. Local Nicaraguan doctors, trained by the Cubans, are now in charge in Ciudad Sandino. Misión Milagro is despised by US Secretary of State Marco Rubio. Washington has imposed sanctions on officials in countries using this and other Cuban medical missions. Supposedly aimed at stopping the “trafficking” of medical staff, the real intent is to destroy services that have proved immensely popular for their free, high-quality treatment, often in remote areas with few health facilities.

Rubio, Cuba And The Zionist Model

Marco Rubio has turned into one of President Donald Trump’s “go to” guys. Appointed secretary of state at the beginning of Trump’s second term, and recently appointed acting national security adviser, he has proven effective in translating Trumpian goals into policy practices. It is not that difficult for Rubio because he shares many of those same biases. For instance, a seemingly absolute belief that the Israelis must be supported even as they lay waste to humanitarian principles and international law. To this end, as secretary of state, Rubio dedicated himself to revamping the State Department’s Bureau of Democracy, Human Rights, and Labor. Why?

Columbia Students Boo President, Cheer Mahmoud Khalil At Graduation

Columbia University held its graduation ceremony this week. When acting school president Claire Shipman addressed the crowd, she was met with a loud chorus of boos and “Free Mahmoud!” chants. “Good morning, Class of 2025. I know that many of you feel some amount of frustration with me, and I know you feel it with the administration,” she told the students. Shipman’s attempt to separate the two entities was met with louder boos, and why wouldn’t it be? Since Columbia students erected a Gaza Solidarity Encampment last spring, the school has worked to stifle pro-Palestinian activism on campus.
